The stylist had me turned away from the mirror a majority of the session, not allowing me to see the progress, while she was cutting and blow drying. I only saw the end results and immediately wanted to scream. Within 5 minutes of my car ride home, I was bawling, which lasted an hour. I took a break only to begin crying again when I washed my hair to see it was uneven, chunky, and overall horrendous. First of all- McKenzie was SUPER conscious of what Jasmine did with with my hair so we could replicate the results for my wedding. She was very knowledgeable (about literally EVERYTHING. She is a great conversationalist, from beginning to end) and gives an amazing cut and color. What I love is the integrity. Yes- I used McKenzie this time because Jasmine was out- but she made sure to honor her coworker and book me with Jasmine next time. As someone who has worked in spas for 10 years- this is very honorable. I got a chance to see the owner. She is too sweet and you can see she cares about her business and employees. Alicia wanted to charge my mother when she called to reschedule 24 hours before her appointment, due to an illness that resulted in a hospital stay. Not only does the policy make no sense, but treating customers like this removes the human factor. Other salon employees stated to my mother that they disagreed with the policy put forth by Alicia only.
