He guided us through the entire experience at Vizcaya, he had the sun mapped out for optimal lighting, and kept in mind sweat, lipstick reapply, and out of place hair, while carrying his and our bags. After over a year of trying to recoup our losses, this is our only option left - My wife and I had…read morean original wedding date on 5/16/20. We had hired a photographer (@santymartinezphotography on Instagram)in the fall of 2019 and kept making monthly payments to him. By the time it got to April, we were basically paid in full (around $3K). Then, events got postponed bc of Covid and we had to push our wedding to 11/21/20 because it was a date that worked for us and our family. He then advised he was not available on that date, gave us some other dates to select from, but it was OUR wedding and we wanted to do it on a date that worked for us, not our photographer. So we then started the process of trying to get the thousands we paid him, back. He said it was in the agreement that he keep ALL of our money despite the fact that Covid cancelled all events so he wouldn't have been able to work on our original wedding date anyway, for anyone. We have since hired an attorney, however after several unsuccessful attempts to collect monies owed to us due to unjust enrichment and civil theft, he continues to remain unresponsive to any efforts - we even offered he keep the deposit and nothing. He is an unethical photographer chasing a buck rather than doing the right thing. So I want to make sure future clients don't fall for his trap.

One person that made my life easier during this time was Paul from Orange Candy. He met us at our venue, not once but twice in advance to discuss shots. He was open to my suggestions and responded to my constant emails about shots I saw on Pinterest and wanted to emulate. Day of the wedding he was super professional, showing up to my hotel room early and relaxing me with his joking nature and calmness. He took beautiful shots of me getting ready which I will treasure forever. Since we did not see the need for a limo to go 30 blocks from the hotel to the venue, Paul drove me to my wedding! What more can you ask for in a wedding photographer?! During the wedding he let me be the boss and was hands-off and let me tell him what I wanted pictures of (lots of dancing and partying). After the wedding he delivered exactly what he promised, images of my wedding edited and burned onto DVD's in a timely fashion. If I had to do it all over again there are some things I would change (my florist and event planner) but my photographer would definitely be Paul!!!

A friend…read moreand I celebrated the bdays of our 2 daughters in a bday party space, and Danilo managed to convince us to hire 2 photographers. First it took at least 1 month for the delivery of the pictures, and then we received a heavy link to download over 700 photos dumped into it. There were several poor quality, dark images and duplicates and, even worse, just 5% or less of the pictures showed the bday girls. It was very disappointing. The second photographer did a good job taking family pictures of the guests, but the bday girls were neglected and special moments were never recorded, sadly lost forever- for that was the purpose of hiring a photographer, in our case we even had 2. After feedback, Danilo offered to do a family picture session, but we prefer a different from his style of picture for family session and I proposed a fair refund of 50% of the service. He said he would edit the work, which he should have done in the first place. After 4 months, the results came basically the same, some images were not as dark, but dumping images was still there and of course there were no new pictures of the bday girls, as these were never captured. Danilo gave back 10% of the service and said he would charge for extending the validity of the link with the heavy 700 pictures. Danilo was very unprofessional, he lost track of the purpose of his service- bday girls and their families rarely appeared in the pictures, and what was delivered was very poor in quality and content. If you look for professionalism look elsewhere, Danilo does not deliver.

Nakita is such a talented photographer. She understands posing and lighting like few other…read morephotographers do, and I've had my fair share of photoshoots. I hired her at the very last minute for branding photography and she not only confirmed the booking right away, she even scouted a dream location for the photoshoot as well. She handled all the logistics and made the setup a breeze. It went from a nightmare situation that I had been dealing with for months to an instant problem solved the minute I booked with Nakita. (Thank you Nakita!!!) She is extremely friendly and kind, and is very prompt with communication which is a must for a photographer. Brides, I see she does wedding photography too, and I would highly recommend her for all your photography needs! The best part about her is her photography style: she is into very natural lighting and minimal editing that compliments the natural you. That is so important!
