While I'm fiercely loyal to my home salon, I went to Golden Shears specifically to get my hair done with my two friends, as we prepared for an event. I'd happily recommend them for blowout services. One of my friends has been seeing Tasha for her hair needs for years and always looks amazing, so I decided to join her and another friend at Golden Shears for the afternoon. It's a convenient location, near the Wegmans just off Empire Boulevard. There's plenty of parking and a comfortable waiting area. The inside is full of mirrors and has plenty of gold accents, hence the "golden shears". My appointment was with Emily, and I asked for soft waves to match my casual yet formal dress, and she knew exactly what to do. Emily was a great stylist and my hair looked amazing. What else can I say? The blowout and style was extremely affordable and I felt pampered the whole time. Sometimes, you really just need someone else to do your hair. I've been there twice now as a friend who has been going for some time recommended her. The service requested both times was a trim.
