This is our go to place now before heading to the beach! Yes, it's on the expensive side, BUT they have the BEST scones I've had in my entire life. They are wonderful-perfectly moist, flaky, and packed with flavor. You can tell everything is made fresh and made well which is so hard to find nowadays. I came in on a Friday afternoon and needed a pick me upper so order a cold brew. WOW! That bad boy hit the spot and had me up again lol. The inside is very welcoming and I love the decor. after paying $20 for a coffee and a breakfast sandwich, I asked for a glass of water and was told I'd have to pay for it. She went as far as to take the water dispenser down off of the counter while I was in the ladies room so that I couldn't help myself to water in the cup that I had brought in with me. Nasty and rude staff. My husband and I stopped in today for coffee and a pastries. $34 for a few scones and one coffee. We stood behind the plastic shield between us and the pastries when we ordered. At one point, I pointed to the cinnamon scones, by gesturing with my hand way above the plastic divide and the owner literally barked to stay behind the shield. I was behind the shield the entire time and was stunned. I said so. She kept on about the purpose of the shield and staying behind the shield. My wife & I stopped by the other day and we will DEFINITELY be back. The pastries (scones & cookies were outstanding and the young lady who made our coffees was amazing. It's too bad that self centered and helpless "Karen's" don't have enough smarts to know that if you are comfortable when you walk into a restaurant then turn around and walk out. I feel sorry for those people because they really missed out on an excellent bakery and coffee shop. I've been waiting a year for the Cranberry Orange scones, I'll be picking up a dozen for Christmas Eve tomorrow! I ordered Cinnamon and Lemon Blueberry scones all summer long, clearly I'm a fan! I recently tried their Iced Chai Latte and wished it lasted forever, so good! The folks making noise about the ladies doing their commercial (which educates others on THEIR perspective and experience) aren't basing their views/reviews on the actual business or service. Alexa is so talented and you'll be delighted with anything you choose. It's a family run business, you'll regularly see her mom Tami making coffees, working the register, and chatting with customers. Her dad and brother are also in there helping where they can. It's a place to gather and enjoy delicious baked goods, coffee, etc. regardless of your political affiliation. It was hard to rate the quality of the food considering the disturbing sight I beheld upon entering. No employee nor customers were wearing masks during the worst month of a global pandemic. I bought my food but immediately threw it out. If that is the safety procedures that they want to show their customers publicly ( basically, I don't care about you. Give me your money and go) I can only imagine what safety protocols are like when people are not watching them. I really wanted to support this local business but when I stopped in there this week and saw that the people working there are disregarding the current covid regulations and not wearing masks, it was a big disappointment. The 5 other customers I saw while I was there also did not wear a mask or even appear to have one to put on if required. I actually looked around to see if there was a sign that asked people NOT to wear a mask. (I should have left immediately and was angry at myself later for not doing so.) I believe mask wearing is done to protect others and since this business does not care about protecting their customers by following the current state mandate and wearing a mask, I can not recommend this place to others. read more

Why are some people so awful? I found this place today after waking up with a sweet tooth. When I looked them up on Yelp and Google I noticed some bad reviews. I almost didn't go until I read them, and I'm glad I did. Apparently at some points employees were seen without masks? In this fairly large bakery in the middle of tiny Bedford, NH? And these "reviewers" were so *enraged* by it that they tried to cancel the business with a flood of bad reviews? They tried to bankrupt these (surely struggling) small business owners because they didn't wear a piece of fabric over their face? They tried to make it difficult for them to put food on their tables because they didn't wear a piece of fabric that's done nothing to heavily curb infections all around the country (see: California). And no, I'm not "conservative." This is just gross behavior from gross people. How low can woke extremists go? Have they lost all perspective? As for my experience: I went in and they were, in fact, wearing masks. I bought a scone and a flourless cookie and both were among some of the best baked goods I've had in New Hampshire. The service was swift, courteous, and attentive. The latte was spot on. If you're looking for good service and something sweet, pop in. This isn't a "3.5" star place, it's one of the best bake shops I've visited in New Hampshire. As for the woke mob: it's time to grow up. You can make your own risk assessments in life and if you're uncomfortable going somewhere because they don't agree with you...just don't go. But to try to burn them down on your way out? Classless and a sign of how insane many have become. No, I don't know the business owners. Neither of the employees were wearing masks while they stood within one foot of their open case of baked goods. There is no plexi glass or anything in between the register and you and a lot of the customers weren't wearing masks either. The service was not great. I was in town for a wedding and was asked to get some cookies for welcome bags at the last minute. I drove to Simply delicious Bakery and I cannot say enough about the professionalism and welcome I got when I arrived. I needed 96 cookies and was asked if I could come back in less then two hours and they would have them done - And they did! They are excellent quality and will make a big impression on the people checking into the hotel! I also had some coffee which was first rate as well - also a local roaster produced! Great shop. Wow. Thank goodness we have this bakery in Bedford. There are a few other bakeries around but you can tell they just load everything up with sugar. You can tell Simply Delicious Bakery uses high-quality ingredients and less sugar. And the flavor really stands out. I've tried almost everything in the place: brownies, fruit bars, cake and pie. My favorite is the chocolate chip oatmeal cookies. Also the coffee is really good and the ambience is nice. Anyway, so glad I can finally ditch places like Starbucks. read more

If you want to eat the most delicious cinnamon scone or lemon blueberry scone, you must go to Simply Delicious Baking Co in Bedford, NH. Their double chocolate cookies and their brownies are also the most delicious, chocolately, fudgy goodness you will find around. My absolute favorite by far, however, is the Cherry Pie. I maybe had cherry pie once in my life, if ever, and I decided to try it when I found it here. It is the most delicious pie, and I wish it wasn't seasonal (wintertime)! I crave it all the time and look forward to buying myself an entire pie when the cold weather comes around again. It's obvious they use the best quality ingredients. The young woman who owns the place is very kind, and amazingly talented. Her mother works the counter, and is such a kind and sweet woman.
