Tried all of the danishes offered that day which was cheese, multi berry, and raspberry, I preferred the multi berry. But my mom preferred the raspberry. The staff was nice and knowledgeable about the breads and pastries offered. I also got bread (sourdough rye) it was crunchy on the outside and bouncy on the inside. I'll make a trip out here again! I could not wait until this weekend for my treat. I have been thinking of their danishes for days since the storm had them closed on my usual Treat Sunday. This apricot danish was heavenly! It was the only flavor I had not tried, yet. I like to heat in oven at 350 for 10 minutes. The filling was perfect. Apricot is such a lovely, fragrant flavor. This is my go-to spot when I need to bring something for the office. Your coworkers will appreciate you when you bring croissants, kouign amann (pronounced queen amann) or sandwiches. The coffee is also phenomenal. The staff here is exceptionally friendly and passionate about their work. I really appreciate how clean and spacious the facility is. Croissant was delicious, and truly made in house! I thought the bread was missing any flavor, but it had perfect combination of soft on the inside and crunch on the outside. The counter person was pleasant and helpful. While I really appreciate that you have a bathroom for customer use, the toilet was disgusting, with what looked like a ring of mold that did not flush away. Please bleach your toilet & if that does not help, replace the toilet bowl. Food establishment bathrooms are a reflection of how cleanly their kitchen is, usually. BTW, their kitchen looked clean, so hopefully they are the exception. read more

Woodman's Artisan Bakery has been selling their artisan breads and baked goods at local farmers markets for about 4 years. They have finally opened a shop, which is located in the former Great Harvest Bread Co. space at intersection of Amherst St and Sunapee St . They sell a variety of their fresh baked goods including their artisan bread loaves, baguette, pastries, croissants, German pretzels, pain de mie, brioche, plus A&E coffee & tea drinks. I stopped in here recently to pickup some treats for myself. I picked up a Chocolate Croissant ($3.50 plus tax), Blueberry cake slice ($3 plus tax), and Kouign Amann ($3 plus tax). I enjoyed my tasty sweet treats with a large iced coffee since it was very hot outside. The Chocolate Croissant and the Kouign Amann were very buttery on the outside and the blueberry muffin cake was very dense and not super sweet. I plan to check them out again here or at the Salem Farmer's Market. read more

This baker has incredible sourdough breads, croissants and assorted pasties of the day. Amazing and the owner has such pride in his work! Love their egg sandwiches too! Would love if they stepped up the coffee sales a notch, maybe have a bit more like a flight set-up because the coffee's just as good here! Don't let these guys go out of business, show them the love consistently and stop buying from big chains! This bread is healthy for us and made with love and wonderful expertise! read more

We love this place! It is near our house and a close walk to visit. We have had loaves of bread, I believe it was bacon cheddar ? amazing. Recently we got some new pastries. We had the Kouign-amann (i believe) and it was unreal. We couldn't stop eating them. It's like a croissant but soft, crunchy, sweet but not too-sweet deliciousness. We also got some raspberry danishes that were just as delicious. The service was great. The owner was so knowledgeable and the staff helpful. Small dining area with some chairs and warm lighting. Nice to grab and go or sit in with a friend. There was also a local artist section that they now have that we love. We were sad to see Great Harvest go, but this place is even more delicious! read more

Finally! I've always thought there was a need for a bread bakery like this in the Nashua area. Finally someone is filling that void. I noticed their sign while driving on a Saturday afternoon and promptly hung a uey. I was rewarded for my vehicular negligence with perfect croissants and fresh bread. I had a huge buttery flaky croissant, a delicious kouign-amann (queen aman), and an oily soft focaccia loaf. This place reminded me of my favorite bakeries (Annarosa's in Salisbury, Mamadou's in Winchester, and Berkshire Mountain Bakery in Housatonic); simple quality baked goods in a no fuss setting. I always get their multigrain sourdough which is quite good. However, I also got their pumpkin bread at the farmer's market this weekend and it was wonderful -- I don't enjoy very sweet pumpkin bread, so it was great with a lovely balance of spices. I am hopeful that this bread will appear again at the market. I always enjoy the couple at the Concord Farmers market-- they rise early to get the market set up and she appears very proud of her son! read more

I am a newbie to Woodman's, I drive by almost every day, but decided to stop in one day. I am so glad that I did. From the smell of the fresh bread baking when I got out of my truck, the smell of the bakery as I walked through the door and the soft-spoken and knowledgeable young lady who greeted me. She explained each bread that they were offering that day as well as the pastries. I left with the Kouign-amann (sweet, fluffy and buttery - so good) and Focaccia - without a doubt this is the best Focaccia that I have EVER had. I have returned several times over the past couple weeks to try the different offerings and have NOT been disappointed with anything. They do offer sandwiches on their fresh bread, which I have not tried yet, but it is on my list. Bill, the owner, has been there every time I have stopped in. He is very passionate about what he does and takes the time to speak with his customers, to explain why he does what he does and his plans for new product. This place is amazing! This is by far the best bread bakery around. We love the Semolina Bread and croissants and the baguette is the best I have ever had.

I went based on these reviews. No sourdough which was the purpose of my trip. Instead bought the cranberry. When I took it out of the bag I had my doubts. Just didn't feel right. Sawed it open and sawed off a piece. The inside was as dry as the crust. A shame as it looked from the visual behind the counter as a loaf made with love. Epic fail. read more

Fantastic European style bread. They use all the right ingredients to make the bread the way you remember from France and Germany. The crunchiness and chewiness of the breads are spot on. So far I have tried their croissant, the sweet version of the croissant (amazing), baguettes, and sour doughs. read more
