    This campground at first glance is very nice. But as you get closer it leaves a lot to be desired…read more My husband and I got what they called a premium site. It was nice in the shade but it was very uneven. When we sat outside if our chairs were not close to the RV we felt like we were going to fall over. The bathhouses were not well cared for. Cobwebs every were. I don't like spiders and they should be knocked down once a day. Now let's talk about how this place nickel and dime you. They give you these wrist bands, like you get at an amusement park, so you can use the pool and other amenities and charge 8 dollars each if you lose them. There is no FREE wifi, you have to pay for it and then it is $15 per 3 days and only 3 devices. When you use the laundry and pay with the app. It will be $4 to wash $4 to dry and a $8 temporary hold. So if you are hoping to spend less here than you would at a hotel try somewhere else. If you just love being outside come here .

    The first day we arrived went well, aside from the storm. I arrived with just my two young children…read morebecause my husband couldn't come that day. I had a broken ankle, an autistic 8-year-old daughter, and a rambunctious 4-year-old son. As I unloaded our things, the storm rolled in and my son became frightened and started screaming. I wanted to turn on the TV to calm him, but I couldn't get it working. My hands were full, and I hadn't had time to read the paperwork, so I didn't know the Wi-Fi password needed for the TV was listed there. When I called for help, the employee I spoke with didn't know about the password either. She and the maintenance man came to the cabin. Before I could explain much, he started talking about the internet and Netflix. I had to explain that I simply needed the TV turned on first. Eventually we figured out it was the password. The employee left, but the maintenance man stayed for a while to cool off in the air conditioning. He was polite, but being alone with my children made me a little uncomfortable. The next day everything changed. My children wanted to ride the slide. They were scared to go alone, so I rode with each of them once. No one said anything about riding double. Because of my broken ankle, I had to remove my boot and painfully climb back up each time. Eventually I asked if they were ready to ride alone because I couldn't keep climbing the hill. My son later became scared at the top and refused to go down. I climbed back up to get him, only to find him sitting on the slide while an older girl was trying to push him even though he was screaming and holding on tightly. I calmly asked her not to push him, and she apologized. The manager's teenage son was supervising the slide but wasn't paying attention to what was happening behind him. As I prepared to take my frightened son down, he suddenly told me I couldn't ride double. I was willing to use the stairs instead, but I physically couldn't. The staircase was narrow, there was a long line extending beyond where it should have stopped, and I had a broken ankle with a terrified child clinging to me. I sat there for about 30 minutes waiting for a safe way down. My mother called, and after hearing what was happening, suggested I contact the front desk. I explained everything to Daniel and told him I simply needed help getting down safely. Instead of helping, he sarcastically asked if I wanted to shut down the whole park because someone might see me ride down with my son. I replied that I didn't care how they got us down--I just needed help. He hung up. The maintenance man eventually came but first scolded me for riding double. Once he realized I truly couldn't get down safely, he helped us. Afterward, he discussed the entire situation in front of other guests, even bringing up the TV issue from the day before and saying he had left a child with a head injury to help me. I was humiliated and left in tears. Back at the cabin, I called Daniel again to ask for the corporate number. When I tried explaining why I was upset, he became defensive, argued with me, and criticized my parenting, saying I needed to watch my children better. After everything that had happened, I lost my composure and ended the call. I had read the signs. The sign said the line should stop before the stairs so people could safely go up one at a time, but staff weren't enforcing it. The teenage attendant had also allowed me to ride double several times before suddenly refusing when I was stranded. My husband eventually received a partial refund, but that doesn't change how we were treated. I wasn't upset about a rule. I was upset that there was no compassion or reasonable help for a mother with a broken ankle trying to safely care for two young children. Because of that experience, I will never return.
