The first day we arrived went well, aside from the storm. I arrived with just my two young children because my husband couldn't come that day. I had a broken ankle, an autistic 8-year-old daughter, and a rambunctious 4-year-old son. As I unloaded our things, the storm rolled in and my son became frightened and started screaming. I wanted to turn on the TV to calm him, but I couldn't get it working. My hands were full, and I hadn't had time to read the paperwork, so I didn't know the Wi-Fi password needed for the TV was listed there. When I called for help, the employee I spoke with didn't know about the password either. She and the maintenance man came to the cabin. Before I could explain much, he started talking about the internet and Netflix. I had to explain that I simply needed the TV turned on first. Eventually we figured out it was the password. The employee left, but the maintenance man stayed for a while to cool off in the air conditioning. He was polite, but being alone with my children made me a little uncomfortable. The next day everything changed. My children wanted to ride the slide. They were scared to go alone, so I rode with each of them once. No one said anything about riding double. Because of my broken ankle, I had to remove my boot and painfully climb back up each time. Eventually I asked if they were ready to ride alone because I couldn't keep climbing the hill. My son later became scared at the top and refused to go down. I climbed back up to get him, only to find him sitting on the slide while an older girl was trying to push him even though he was screaming and holding on tightly. I calmly asked her not to push him, and she apologized. The manager's teenage son was supervising the slide but wasn't paying attention to what was happening behind him. As I prepared to take my frightened son down, he suddenly told me I couldn't ride double. I was willing to use the stairs instead, but I physically couldn't. The staircase was narrow, there was a long line extending beyond where it should have stopped, and I had a broken ankle with a terrified child clinging to me. I sat there for about 30 minutes waiting for a safe way down. My mother called, and after hearing what was happening, suggested I contact the front desk. I explained everything to Daniel and told him I simply needed help getting down safely. Instead of helping, he sarcastically asked if I wanted to shut down the whole park because someone might see me ride down with my son. I replied that I didn't care how they got us down--I just needed help. He hung up. The maintenance man eventually came but first scolded me for riding double. Once he realized I truly couldn't get down safely, he helped us. Afterward, he discussed the entire situation in front of other guests, even bringing up the TV issue from the day before and saying he had left a child with a head injury to help me. I was humiliated and left in tears. Back at the cabin, I called Daniel again to ask for the corporate number. When I tried explaining why I was upset, he became defensive, argued with me, and criticized my parenting, saying I needed to watch my children better. After everything that had happened, I lost my composure and ended the call. I had read the signs. The sign said the line should stop before the stairs so people could safely go up one at a time, but staff weren't enforcing it. The teenage attendant had also allowed me to ride double several times before suddenly refusing when I was stranded. My husband eventually received a partial refund, but that doesn't change how we were treated. I wasn't upset about a rule. I was upset that there was no compassion or reasonable help for a mother with a broken ankle trying to safely care for two young children. Because of that experience, I will never return. read more

We extended our monthly stay through the business number then we were told by staff we couldn't keep our lot because it was completely booked for Memorial Day then a few weeks later we were told there were septic issues and we had to leave the site. We were told no employees could move the camper as we do not tow our camper ourselves. We were given a number of a tower who quoted us $225 to move our site within the campground so we decided to leave to a cheaper campground as the lot rent increased due to summer rates (it's not summer yet). We were told we'd get a refund of the lot rent we already paid and we never received one, when we called to follow up we're told there's no refunds on monthly stays. $1,010/month for a parking spot is absolutely criminal. If I could leave 0, I would. The photos online are definitely not accurate about this place. The roads are tight especially if you have a big rig like we did. We have a dually and a 42' fifth wheel. The trees are not cut back, and they scrape your camper terribly. We were placed in Site D11. The campsites are not marked very well and ended up parking in site D9. Luckily, we were able to stay in that sight, thanks to the neighbors who were renting it long term. But Site D11 was rented to a motorhome so did they make a double profit? The pool closed at 7:00 and it was disgusting. The amount of HAIR that was in that pool significant. We found eyelashes around the pool that was there the entire time we were there which was a Wednesday to Sunday. The chlorine smell was never present. I can understand debris from the trees, but this was just lack of maintenance which was present at this entire campground. The water slide closed at 5:00 each day which was a bit early for the summer especially a holiday weekend. The trash dumpsters were overflowing the entire time we were there. There were a couple of children that were left attended that were entering people's cabins and campers taking things that did NOT belong to them. The SOS numbers we were given at the time of check in did NOT answer in a timely manner. I have been camping since 2005 and NEVER felt the need to lock everything we had. This campground at first glance is very nice. But as you get closer it leaves a lot to be desired. My husband and I got what they called a premium site. It was nice in the shade but it was very uneven. When we sat outside if our chairs were not close to the RV we felt like we were going to fall over. The bathhouses were not well cared for. Cobwebs every were. I don't like spiders and they should be knocked down once a day. Now let's talk about how this place nickel and dime you. They give you these wrist bands, like you get at an amusement park, so you can use the pool and other amenities and charge 8 dollars each if you lose them. There is no FREE wifi, you have to pay for it and then it is $15 per 3 days and only 3 devices. When you use the laundry and pay with the app. It will be $4 to wash $4 to dry and a $8 temporary hold. So if you are hoping to spend less here than you would at a hotel try somewhere else. If you just love being outside come here . read more

So sad to have to give a bad review but we will not waste our money at Hidden Creek again. We were put in a gravel lot made into campsites. The general upkeep of the campground is pitiful. I am sure it is because Spacious Skies does not put money into it. This was not our first stay here so I can truthfully say it can gone down hill so much. Do not pay attention to old ratings. I never visited this campground prior to this year and Spacious Skies owning it, but these reviews seem based on past ownership and do not speak fairly to current circumstances. New management and employees are working tirelessly to upgrade amenities and are pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. The pool and water slides are now open after several setbacks, and the planned weekend activities are enjoyable and provide a sense of community. There are still upgrades and improvements to be made, but they take time. They will happen. In the meantime, I have enjoyed watching the families seemingly have a great time and enjoy each other and their time at Spacious Skies Hidden Creek. read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Sites over grown. Amenities not open and the website doesn't say they have specific hours. Not to mention the NEEDLES IN THE BATHHOUSE. I went to the bathhouse at 7am!!! No one was at the front desk so I call corporate. No one from the campground responded until 10:30 and didn't even clean the bathroom. Devin from the front desk even agreed that No one with a diabetic issue would leave open needles in the floor. So stop using that as excuse. Shut this place down immediately!!!! read more

These reviews need an update. We camped there this summer (visiting family in Nemo), and had a pleasant stay. What people need to know is that this campground was in horrible shape before being taken over by a new manager who has been working very hard to get the place back to where it should be. There was much grading of camp sites going on when we were there. The area around the pool seemed was also under renovation. The mini golf course and water slide were still unusable but the sites were the priority at this point. This seems to be a great place for family stays, with children looking like they were having a wonderful time. The only negatives-- as a senior couple we were just looking for a place to put our camper so it was a bit out of the way for us. Also the internet signal was very weak, but I suspect that could change in the future. Marion was a fun town for shops and ice cream. read more

Lots of hate being shared in these reviews that I do not agree with. This is one of the better camp resorts we have been to. We like it so much we have been back 3 times. Many sites have hook ups for power 110 and 220 along with water and sewer. They have all kinds of thing to do like shuffleboard, horse shoes, ect with are pretty standard. They also have canoes, paddle boat, fishing, arcade, Gaga ball, and a great huge water slide. The camp resort also has quite a few activities for adults and kids everyday. Worst experience we've ever had camping in our RV. The sites were so steep, all three campers in our party couldn't be leveled. We couldn't push out our bedroom pullout because my husband was afraid it would tip over. Yes- it was that steep. We also had to call maintenance to find our sanitation line, as gravel covered it up and then it was full of gravel and they had to come back and clean it out. One travel trailer actually slipped off its leveling jack and had to be removed before they could hook it back up to their truck. Again- yes that steep. Also, there are no trash cans at each site. We put the bags out before we left one day and the ducks got into it. It was a hot mess. read more

I have an RV ...I do not tent camp...I did not use any bathroom facilities but can say the RV spots are quite nice and the staff there is friendly, helpful and very sweet. They have seasonal spots too which is a plus. The overlook is pretty and has great views of the mountains...someone complained about its lack of trees but honestly you don't need huge huge trees where people are trying to drive and pull the 50 foot RVs....common sense...It's a camp ground...take it for what it is... read more

Camping is fine. But the water sucks! The fish look terrible and besides, there are dead fish floating here and there along the banks. The restrooms look like crap and need to be cleaned better, the showers need to be sterilized with bleach and a way to keep the water from running all the way back to the door and the water needs to be regulated better between to he hot and the cold. The service at the front desk needs to be better as well. This is the last time I come here to camp. read more

Just because they have spots for large 5th wheels doesn't mean getting in and out without damage is an easy task. We stayed in section B for an extended Labor day weekend with 5- 5th wheels and 1 large t.t. The un-repaired storm damage made both pulling in and out very difficult for seasoned campers. The park is dirty. Trash lays around and bees are an issue. Yellow jacket traps and a couple trash cans would solve these issues. The pond is much smaller than the pictures would have you believe and the water is very dirty. The pool at the bottom of the water slide is a brown and disgusting. The same cars of the full timers run in and out enough to draw attention and remove any peaceful atmosphere from the evening. And when they say "no refunds " they mean it. One of the members of our group needed to cancel weeks in advance for bypass surgery. They were given a voucher for an upcoming stay that will never be used and rented the site to other travelers. Another paid the extra $35 for the drive through site. They needed to switch with another to allow a larger toy hauler. Rather than allowing the 35. to be applied to the toy hauler they charged both and offered a voucher for amenities, which of course were never used. Here's the good... the view. If you walk to the top the view is beautiful. If you walk the trail in the woods it's cool, peaceful and lovely. One last note, someone may want to check the offensive odor (something dead) on the road just past section B, 1st or 2nd camper on right. read more

I'm going to leave a video of the site they put us in and let that speak for itself. The original one they put us in was occupied by a full time resident and we were almost out of a place to stay! No discount offered for the mix up. Other than that ...The staff was friendly although mostly young ( The manager and most employees are teens) and disorganized. Travis was very very helpful and the pool was very clean. the lake is ehh. The bathrooms are atrocious! backed up and gross. Don't stay in Overlook area... no shade, all red clay and mostly full time camper residents. Far from amenities. The cafe is good and the people in the cafe very friendly. We won't be back for the price there are better options near by!! Also!! Mind the hours because all of the amenities close when the office does. 6pm on Sunday nights! read more

It's obviously never been anything but that, no matter what you call it now. Just because the grass started growing in the lot doesn't make it a "Tent site" now. These sites are intended for people with campers or RVs. Promote them as such. Don't lie to people. We were also told by your staff we couldn't be moved because all of the other tent sites were booked. Even the ones directly beside of us. The other sites are "primitive" sites. No hookups. Not what we were promised now is it. Also would be on the other side of the place away from our group. Again, unacceptable.Not what we paid for. Take a look at your reviews. They are ALL BAD. Your response to mine was to try and make it my fault. That says everything I will ever need to know about your site. So, next year when we have another group of 30+ people going on a trip it won't be there. Also, I love to no refunds policy. I will never go back to this campground again. As a pop-up owner, I rely on campgrounds that provide bathroom and shower facilities. I do not expect facilities to be immaculate, but basic cleanliness is important. I know things get dirty, but I also expect them to be cleaned regularly. Clean bathrooms and showers were not a priority for this campground. My wife told me the women's room was filthy all weekend long and the showers were filled with mud. I experienced the same thing in the men's facilities. In fact, one of the toilets was clogged from Friday night into late Saturday afternoon. Even after several people told the front desk, the response they got was, "We know and are getting to it." Even after the toilet was unclogged, the bathrooms/showers were not cleaned until Sunday morning (when we were leaving). We had friends visit us Saturday afternoon. When my friend used the men's bathroom located next to main office/campground store, a pile of feces was on the floor by the toilet. The shower curtain in the same facility looked like it was never changed, covered in mildew. The pool water looked like you were swimming in milk. The water was so cloudy, and one woman told my wife, "It looks better than yesterday." The campground offers canoes, paddle boats, kayaks, and hydro cycles. To use them, you needed to pay the front desk for a wristband, allowing you use them as well as the pool, mini golf, and the waterslide. The canoes, paddle boats, kayaks and hydro cycles were being used by kids who did not pay for wrist bands and there was no one from the campground to sign them out or monitor their use. It was a free for all. They were even using them at night (when it was completely dark) and the staff closed up shop and went home. According to the website, quiet time starts at 11 pm. We did not know this because other campsites we've stayed at state that quiet time starts either at 9 pm or 10 pm. We were shocked to hear so many kids yelling, screaming and carrying on well past 10 pm. The sound echoed across the lake. Also, there was way too much vehicle traffic driving through the campground at night. It felt like every 15-20 minutes, high beams were piercing through our campsite. read more

This place is not worth the stop! $40 for a night of complete and udder disaster. The showers???? Couldn't find any. The bathrooms looks like a 4yr old tried to clean with a dirty mop. We drove in late so the young lady said she would leave our packet outside. Nope, not where she said she would leave it. Even other customers said it's run by teens that have no time for there job. So we drove in asking people who were staying there where to go, because nobody in charge is on site after 7. Tell you the truth you could probably drive right in and pop your camper out or tent late at night and be gone by 9am and not one person would know. This place is a joke for $40 a night. Everything positive was from the previous owners of the place. These new owners have no idea what is going on. I see this place closing in two years once the word is out how bad it is. read more

I was sadly mislead by other reviews for this place. It's terrible!! The bathrooms were the nastiest things ever! Clogged, no soap, no paper towels, mold in the tiny showers, holes in the walls and I'm being brief. When I reported that the bathrooms were in bad shape, at 10:00 am the girl at the desk said she knew bc someone else has already reported it. At that point it had been over 24 hours since their was ANY form of cleaning done on the poop covered bathrooms. HELLO COVID and More!! The dock at the lake looks completely unsafe with boards missing and rotted. It was very narrow with mud all around it. It was very easy for kids the slip and fall into the slime on the lake. Our sloped camp site had a picnic table with rusty nails sticking out from bench and the table. Our trip to the pool was equally as gross and unsafe. The over sized pool was filled with very cloudy water and I heard someone claim " It looks better then yesterday". Employees were taking about kids stealing over $40 in quarters out of all the video games in the arcade and breaking the ticket machine. When we curiously asked if the kids/family were kicked out of the site they replied "No they are still here " Lastly, I think, there quiet hours are 11:00pm, something rather unusual for us. Cars And motorcycles going full on in and out of the camp ground with high beams blaring across the lake at all hours. Kids running around and screaming at 10:30 PM and even some kids in the dark unsupervised lake on hydro cycle and canoes. The place is screaming for some order, an update, some cleaning and maintenance work. I hate that it ruined our trip. read more

The site is very nice. But the staff is pitiful and the policies are absurd. This appears to be a small-time operation. We rented a nice cabin at a fairly competitive rate of $169 per night, taxes included. The staff is comprised mostly of pretty little co-eds, who, while appearing helpful, don't seem to have a clue about what is going on. You get a different response from everyone you ask . No one seems to have been trained in simple things, like showing your guests around the cabin and describing how things work! (The TV did not and no one showed us how to get it going.) They did promise to come up sometime and demonstrate, but we could not hang around waiting. The A/C for the bedroom has a fan that delivers the air from the main living area, but you have to figure out how it works. There should have been a walk-through when we got there. Still, we decided to stay an extra day. When I went to the office and gave the SAME credit card I used to pay for the first night, it was rejected. I knew it was good. So I tried another one. Rejected too. The manager said: "You will just have to call your bank and see what is going on." I can't fault her for being suspicious, BUT after I called the bank in her presence and was told there were no rejections on the card, she called the people who service their credit card transactions and said very clearly: "We have had this problem all week and I have called you several times to fix it!" Even so, she was reluctant to let me stay until they got it fixed. After 20 minutes of my wasted time, I left saying do what you have to, but I am not hanging around waiting for you to fix a problem you were aware of! Then there is the $200 security deposit that you have to put on your credit card. The little co-ed said it would be refunded AFTER 10 days if the inspection was OK! Have you EVER heard of such a joke? Tying you credit card up for 10 days! EVERYWHERE else I have been to in the past 50 years places a pending charge on you card and releases it after inspection. This place needs good management and staff training. read more

Well, there are both negative and positive aspects of Hidden Creek. The bathrooms are awful. There are 2 bathhouses for dozens and dozens of campsites. 2 toilets and 2 showers for dozens and dozens of sites. So basically it's always fouls smelling and you have to wait on a long line to shower. The shower is nasty too. The lake, pool and activities are good so that makes up for it. The site itself was fine. Overall, I wouldn't return because of the bathroom situation. If this changes then I'd consider it. read more

This is the absolute best campground a family could ever ask for!! There is so much to do in the campground to keep you entertained and having new experiences. They also do lots of activities for families and the kids on the weekends Travis was a huge help in setting up our camper since it was our first time doing so. He wouldn't even accept a tip, he genuinely just wanted to help. It's hard to find good people and clean fun these days but this is certainly this place for it! read more

By the way the only solution offered was to put us up on the hill. I spoke with the general manager as well as a few of our other group members too. That is not a solution for us, have been in those same sites for 7-8 years. I was told to come in by Friday to book our sites, came in a day early and they tell me they are booked from the weekend before campers and the dance was not the same. No DJ running any music, just a phone. The biggest thing is sites for us and like I said you lost 10 total families. You can run your campground any way you want but we won't be a part of it. Hidden Creek, Marion, NC: DO NOT BELIEVE THE WEBSITE PHOTOS!!! This was absolutely the worst campsite that we have ever stayed at, period. I don't even know where to begin. Trash is the first thing that comes to mind when reviewing this site - the grounds, as well as the majority of the clientele. Candy wrappers, cigarette butts, soda/water bottles, etc. were found littered throughout the campground. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. It was a complete free-for-all for the kids staying there. Plenty of signs stating rules for the water slide, pool, and lake equipment were posted, however none were enforced or monitored by staff whatsoever. Large groups of unsupervised teens roamed the campground at all hours. Young children, throughout the day, participated in dangerous activities - alone on the canoes and paddle bikes in the middle of the lake with no lifejackets, flying down the waterslide two and three at a time, etc. (This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen.) Outside of the filth and chaos factor, I should mention that we had to pay an extra $50 to use amenities that seemed to be included when we booked the site. I should also mention that when they advertise free WiFi, that means going up to the office area to get service, not at your site. Needless to say, we will NEVER stay at Hidden Creek again, ever. I feel that this "campground" was very dishonest with their online advertising. I hope that you don't make the same mistake that we did! read more

The water slide water looks filthy! The pool needs repaired, The roads need repaired. Very disappointing campground! One positive was the water pressure for the showers in our RV was good. Grass was mowed with piles and clumps of grass left everywhere. Some money invested back in this RV park could make it a much nicer place to stay. Pride of ownership is needed. read more

VERY disappointed with this camp ground. The pictures are nothing like the real thing. The lake is more like a pond and is nasty and shallow. Don't waste your money on the extra amenities. No one even monitors the 3 thing you get with it. Stayed for 5 days and never seen anyone cleaning the arcade or playground. No covid 19 policies are being followed. Dirt roads make everthing dusty. They pack tent campers in like sardines. The lake view and creek view is just a big parking lot. I should of suspected somthing when the photos on the website didn't show much of the camp ground. I know why now. The only nice thing is the cabins, still way over priced for what they are. If the rest of the campground would of been nice it might have been worth staying in the cabin. Decided not to do the water slide because the pool you land in was so dirty. Canoe was full of slime and life jackets were nasty. If you like some trees, don't get camp site on the overlook. No trees at the top of a mountain with a not so good gravel road. (Washed out) . Don't waste your money on this place. Would not recommend. Will not go back. It is run by a bunch of teens that don't care about their jobs or the campers happiness. They just repeat the rules of the campground. We stayed for 5 days in a cabin and they only allowed 2 rolls of toilet paper for a cabin that sleeps 6. Cheap. Steps going from cabins down to parking lot are dangerous. The are leaning and the nails are sticking up. I tripped on several. VERY dangerous. read more

The management of this camping park is severely lacking. We booked a full hookup RV site for two nights and took a loss as we could only bear to stay one night. First off, booking online is... oh wait. You can't. You submit a form with the type of site you want only to get a message to call them to reserve a site. When we got there, we almost left immediately however there is a zero refund policy. The weeds were taller than my 4 year old daughter at our campsite as well as at the putt putt "course". Don't get excited about the prospect of the putt putt and waterslide as those amenities cost extra money. Our site was up a steep embankment and was hard to find. The whole place seems to be run by high school kids. Absolutely zero shade in the "S" campsites. The "S" sites are also about a 20 minute walk to any amenities. Not a problem because they offer golf cart rentals but, you guessed it, they were out. Found at least 5 screws and a handful of nails in the driveway of our site. Bathrooms are atrocious. Had to borrow a 30 amp converter from them as our site didn't have 30 amp access (though we had asked for it). Should've checked other yelp reviews before booking. They tell the same story I'm telling. I'm sure, much like the other reviewers, that I'll get a curt response from the owner(s) saying that they would have gladly "moved us to another site" or "had their excellent staff take care of our issues" yet the only staff member I saw that didn't appear to be in high school was too busy riding around on a golf cart wearing a Hawaiian lei making sure my family was not in the way of the huge RV's that needed momentum to make it up Mount Everest to their campsite as we walked the mile back from the pool. $114 for two nights and there wasn't even a grill. My family has been going here for 9 years. This used to be Jellystone and has now been purchased by Hidden Creek. We went on Memorial Day weekend and when we checked in, they had no record of us and called us liars. Even after we showed proof of our reservation which was made over a year ago, they did not apologize. They stuck us in a bad spot and gave ours to someone who booked 2 months ago. We found out they did everyone there this way. Many people left. Pool and waterslide closed even thought they advertised as being open. Management was horrible and disorganized, blaming others for their mistakes. Kimberly, the manager, was observed by one of our children "making out" with a guy in the parking lot. She also made promises and did not honor them, and told us we were lying when we asked asked her about them. Don't take a chance with this place. Spend your money where you know you will get treated fairly and with respect. Update-Hidden Creek posted they are making changes in management and blamed all the problems on infrastructure within the park and previous owners. Not once did they apologize for their horrible treatment of us and we were not the only ones. I commented on their post and they blocked me. I have not lied and kept my review clean. This is their idea of customer service. I wish I could say they are turning it around because this place used to be wonderful but now, it's horrible. Also, the "management change" is the same manager's husband. Yes, the same one who attacked us and called us liars. Absolutely done. read more

First let me say I booked our cabin under previous management, when it was Jelly Stone Park. I never received a call stating there was new management and the planned activities would be canceled. One star for the cabin, it was immaculate!! Clean, cool and enough space for our family of 4. One star for the staff, they were pleasant each time we encountered them. Ok, now to the negative. Nothing posted about operation hours for any of the amenities: pool, water slide, arcade. Or how to use any of the paid extras: golf, boats etc. Upon arrival I was told it was $50 for a family of 4 to use the boats and water slide. I was never given an option to pay just for my kids, later found out from another camper she paid $25 for the entire week ( we were there 2 nights). Another issue is how to check out before 9am, nothing posted on how to leave the cabin (trash/dishes etc) or how to return key if you are leaving before 9am. Overall I would not recommend this park to interested campers, they have a long way to go in terms of managing their amenities and information for guests. Oh and don't forget the $200 security fee they charge upon arrival and you are given a note that says if you do not call them within 14 days of departure, your card will be charged...what?? Never had an experience like this and sad to say I hope I never do again. HUGE let down. read more

Absolutely unacceptable! The place is in disrepair and desperately needs some adult intervention. It appears to be run by teenagers. Roads are washed out with deep ruts that you are expected to drive across. Children activities are non existent. The pool was nasty. Would not let my children in it. It was so bad we left. Requested to speak to the manager and was told that he was tied up with the health dept and could not help me. I left my name and number for a return phone call and 10 days later, I'm still waiting on the call. Definitely would not go back here. read more

We went to Hidden Creek Camping Resort (formally Jellystone Marion) this weekend (Memorial 2017). We have been going here for the last 8 years 3-5 times a year. This weekend was the first time under the new management, I have to say, it was the most poorly run and mismanaged campground we have ever visited. We booked 4 spots on May 28, 2016 (like every year) and when we got there, ours and our friends were not showing up and they had booked someone else. After 20 min of going back and forth and showing our Confirmation, we were let into our site and were told that our friends were set as well....fast forward 2 hours, a golf cart with the GM named Kimberly and a young worker pull up, she literally jumps out of the golf cart hands spread wide open and says "Ok guys, I need you to listen up, we are pulling in a camper in your friends spot and it isn't the last name you want hear, however, this is what is going happen and you if you don't like it you can do what you have to do". We asked her about our friend who paid for the site a year ago and she said "well they didn't get moved over and these people paid too, so they are going here, you don't have to like it". After arguing that our friends have a paid confirmation "She said, well this is my campground and this is what is going to happen, if you don't like it then do what you have to do. Also, these people have a baby, you all need to keep it down and you better not be a problem". Please note, this was not an isolated incident, the whole campground was musical campers on Friday, they would move someone and put them in a spot only to find out someone else was already there. People were leaving the campground because of how she was treating them and finding out that their sites were given away. They were completely disorganized and had no clue as to what to do about it. The next day, we were all told that the pool was open and slide was closed, it was all over the website it was open and when we went to go swim, we were there for 5 min and a young worker walked up and says "Hey, I am here to piss everyone off, pools closed". The reason was they had failed inspection due to the emergency phone being down, come to find out from some seasonal, the phone had been down since Thursday! They lied to everyone, so they would not cancel their reservations. So many people went to Wal-Mart and purchased pools and slip-n-slides because it was so hot. The campground isn't being kept up as it used to be grass wasn't cut, trash everywhere, dryers not working, pool not working, there were only 4 canoes, no golf carts, the new cabins failed inspection as well (people lost their spots because they were not ready) all of this on top of the nasty attitudes, not to mention that our kids spotted the General Manager in the parking lot making out with a man while they were up at the ranger station playing. From one camper to another....spread the word and stay away from Hidden Creek! read more
