This past Saturday my daughter had her hair done for her senior prom by stylist Kate Vose- we requested her again as she did such a gorgeous style on her hair for last year's prom. Could not have been happier. My daughter looked and felt like a princess. She was able to interpret and adapt a personalized look from a few photos and it came out beautifully and lasted for ten hours through pictures and all of prom! I am here to speak truthfully about my experience with most specifically, Erin. I am whole heartedly advising no bride to book with this group. Unfortunately, I was in a very vulnerable position a few months back when I decided to move forward with my wedding during COVID. I should have done my due diligence. I signed a contract with Simply Gorgeous before receiving a trial. When the time finally came, after being rescheduled many times (this is where the lack of consideration came in), I was displeased with the entire experience. I don't want to bash the stylist, it just simply wasn't a good fit. I finally spoke to Erin about this, simply asking if I could get another stylist. Forewarning, they only promote certain hair stylists & makeup artists, the girl who did my trial is nowhere to be found on her Instagram, and in general with any service I've ever received I was informed who would be working with me. I mean it is my WEDDING DAY. The second I talked to Erin, I knew what I was in for. Extremely defensive and refused to understand that I was her client, on the most important day of my life. Everything that I said she twisted it into me really just being delusional. I wasn't there to slander, bash or hurt anyone's feelings. I solely wanted a different stylist and to really work with this team. She only offered a second trial, with the same hair stylist while she watched. I mean what? As women we know what works and what doesn't. Not to mention that would have been awkward and I didn't want that vibe on my wedding day especially. The conversation got so bad I had to cancel. Now, this is where the true colors really shined bright. She sent me a NDA where I had to sign stating I wouldn't dispute any charges, or discuss her business in any way. I reached out once more trying to reach an understanding and was met with, again, blame on me, absolutely no refund for services not even rendered, that I still owed her and some legal talk. It really truly blows my mind how anyone can pride themselves in making women feel amazing on their wedding day but treat someone with such disrespect. I only wanted to work with someone else, I never even brought up a refund until I felt severely taken advantage of. This woman is out for money and that is it. Please be hesitant, request a trial beforehand, if she will even grant it. I was left ONE WEEK before my wedding with no hair or makeup artists for my bridesmaids, and had to spend thousands more to book new ones read more

I had my color done by Rachel today after, um, years of not having it professionally done. I have crazy long hair and it's a pain to deal with. I was beyond excited with the results, it's a brand new line they are using, and it's not harsh, smells amazing and left my hair super smooth and shiny. I went a little over a week ago to have my eyebrows microbladed by Erin. I was SO nervous (as to be expected). Erin was very understanding and she helped to calm my nerves with her positive attitude and confidence in the procedure. She assured me that I was "in the drivers seat" and she would not do anything I wasn't comfortable with. Erin was very knowledgeable regarding the procedure and was able to answer all of my questions I had at the time. I was a little forgetful and even emailed her shortly after and she was quick to get back to me. Also, the salon itself is beautiful and staff is very friendly! Concluding, I absolutely LOVE my brows and am SO happy I went through with this! I have so much extra time when I get ready by not having to pencil or shade in my brows. Simply Gorgeous by Erin made the hair and makeup process for my wedding completely seamless and so simple! From the initial call with Samantha who answered every tedious question I had, to the day of with Melissa and Jessie- it was honestly one of the easiest parts of my wedding planning. Also, the whole payment process is flawless (not having to deal with cash on the day of is amazing). Where do I even begin with Jessie and Melissa? My bridesmaids and I have gotten our makeup done numerous times for weddings and have never actually loved how we looked.... until Sunday. ALL of my bridesmaids, my mom and my mother-in-law could not stop raving about how much they loved their hair and makeup. Jessie and Melissa listened to exactly what each girl wanted and nailed their looks spot on. I changed my hair slightly from what we did at the trial and also wanted to add some greenery and a flower... Melissa was an actual magician making my hair look absolutely incredible! Jessie also knew how much I wanted to emphasize my eyelashes so she made sure to add a couple extra and really took the time to perfect my look- I really couldn't believe how flawless she made me look. They were on time, very quick and precise with each girl and just so much fun to hangout with that day. Not to mention, they also were such a huge help when my bridesman needed helping tying his bow tie and again when I had a slight dress mishap. My daughter went there 2 days before prom to get the bayalage hair color. She walked out $240 later and was not happy at all with the results. I called to ask that they either fix it or give me some $ back and they agreed to have her come in to have it fixed. She gets there the day before prom and they inform her that she will need to pay an additional $80.00! Very disappointed, would not recommend. First and last time we are going there and my daughters prom is tomorrow! read more

I am pretty disappointed in my experience here. I got my eyebrows microbladed in March and my skin did not retain the pigment. I went for my touch up appointment and again, my skin didn't really retain the pigment. Erin told me this was strange and in her whole career, this has never happened to her. I paid $500 for this service and even at my non-refundable consultation, I told erin that my skin can be strange and I was afraid this service wouldn't work for me and that if she felt that there was any doubt that my skin would reject the pigment that I was okay with losing my $150 deposit. She assured me that she's microbladed clients of all skin types and races and that I would be just fine. I trusted her professional judgement. I got the Microblading done and my skin didn't retain the ink so I was advised to wait until after my touch up and that I would have a much better result. Weeks after my touch up, I got my hair done at this place because I knew the hairdresser. Erin came up to me and asked me about my brows. Now, I have been extremely polite throughout this whole process but I couldn't take it anymore. My eyebrows are a part of my face and I was just so unhappy with the result that there were times I've cried myself to sleep because I hated them so much. I told her that I hated them. She offered to do another "touch up" and I just told her that I wasn't interested at this point and just wanted them to fade off of my face because only specific areas retained the ink making my eyebrows appear as patchy. She said "oh okay" and walked away. For my touch up, she had to go deeper in my skin for it to retain more pigment and it was super painful. There was no way I was going to do it a third time. It is now November and my skin is so sensitive where my eyebrows were microbladed. I can feel discomfort when I just shade my eyebrows in with a pencil. Now don't get me wrong, I 100% understand and support businesses and by no means did I expect a full refund, but when people go to a salon, they pay for a service and a result. I did not get a result even close to what I was promised. I watched Erin's work on Instagram for months before I went to see her and my result was not even close to the pictures she posted. I'm actually taken back that I wasn't offered a partial refund. I wouldn't never expect a full refund, as erin did take her time to provide a service, but a partial refund would have been appropriate since I didn't get the result that erin was confident I would get. I know many people in the salon industry and they also agree with the fact that I should have gotten a partial refund. I did sign a consent form that said results vary and that's okay. But for erin to admit that she's never had anyone's skin barely retain ink and offer no solutions except to keep doing "touch ups" seems like a crooked way to do business to me. By no means am I upset about the service itself, just extremely disappointed at the fact that a resolution to my issue was avoided by erin. Any business owner who stands by their business and their work would have addressed this months ago. I did not expect this from a "reputable" business owner and avoiding a client's dissatisfaction in a service you provided is completely unethical. Her tone of voice when she talks to you is nice. I had a horrible experience here. Got microblading done by Erin, but when I returned for follow-up they had lost my appointment, and wouldn't even accommodate me, even though I had taken the day off from work to go there. Also, wasn't happy with the brow shape and color, and not only did Erin blame this on me, but I would need to come back another day, take another day off work, and pay another $100 to fix them.
