They always are very helpful when I ask questions and even gave me a recommendation for which color is right for my skin at each time of year to look the most natural since I'm a very pale red head. (I use medium clear in the winter and dark clear in the summer and get so many compliments!) Sometimes the machine wouldn't start and I'd have to pop my head out to ask for help and the girls are always really nice and quick to help restart it. I usually come in kind of close to closing like 15 minutes but they always still let me tan and have never seemed annoyed by it. I really like it here and plan to keep coming! I do wish they updated their hours a little better for holidays and things like that but I just call ahead to find out and they let me know. Highly recommend for spray tans.

Because now that's my job too? I'm very frustrated by their lack of compassion and desire to uphold the law. I cannot recommend that you frequent this place if you have mobility issues and no one to drop you off at the door.

The owner himself gave my mom the "411" and a tour to see if she was okay with it. Then she brought me and bought me a month. Now, every so often when I need a bit of color I ALWAYS go back there. All the girls are very friendly and remember your name, which I think is very nice. The prices are a bit higher than their local competition, but what the others lack in, Velocity makes up for in every way. You really do get your money's worth. It's always very clean! I know that in other salons they only give you 4 minutes before your bed starts, I've felt rushed and I never quite get the full time in the bed because I'm still putting on my lotion! But at Velocity, you get 7 minutes before the lamps automatically come on and you have the option to start them before if you don't need the full 7! There are speakers with the radio on in every bed. Sometimes it seems a little loud and I wish they had music with no commercials but hey, it's still pretty sweet. There are several different beds they offer. The 12 minute lay down beds are just fine for a basic tan and on a budget. They have nicer lay down beds that have much more room, so if you get nervous in small spaces, that bed is much better. That bed is quite a chunk of money but I've found that my face gets a better tan and it has lamps on the sides so you get a more even and natural looking tan. The stand ups they offer are just as nice. I would only say to go in the 8 minute stand up. It's alittle more money but it is well worth it. You get a very even tan. But no matter which bed you go in, the staff is very educated on how much time you should start out with and when to up your minutes to avoid burning. This a very thoughtful process and I think it really shows that Velocity Tanning is the best tanning salon around! **This is the only place I will go to!

The Beauty Bar saved my wedding day! I got married in NYC and hired a company there initially, but I absolutely hated my trial. I contacted the Beauty Bar and lucked out that they were available on my day and were able to travel to the city. Adriana did my makeup (I chose airbrush) and she was fantastic. She won't make you look overdone and she truly listens to what you like. Sierra was my hairstylist and she was also excellent. She knew what I meant before I had even shown her pictures. These two ladies arrived with some time to spare on the big day and were very well prepared and professional. They were also just a pleasure to have there helping all 8 of us get ready. We were all finished a bit ahead of schedule even with some time for some touch-ups for those that went first. We had a ridiculously hot day (real feel was about 100 degrees), so some of our hair did start to droop a little, but after pictures! Believe me, it could not have been better given the circumstances. My maid of honor's hair last all night, though! Makeup also seemed to last very well despite all the heat and humidity.
