I have to say that I don't usually write reviews. I am lazy about following up, I'll admit, but Simply Gourmet went above and beyond our expectations. I scouted out A LOT of caterers & chose Simply Gourmet, in part b/c of the wonderful word of mouth reviews from others, they were the most affordable for our budget and Becky was very willing to work with us to make sure we stayed within our budget. Becky is top notch. She is professional and genuine and very good at what she does. I appreciated that she was the only one who corresponded with me rather than talking to multiple people. It made for clear and concise communication. Our big day was magical, despite unexpected rain. Becky & team made it all seamless. We felt like royalty. The staff doted on us & the food was EXCEPTIONAL! We had the chance prior to do a tasting & meet chef Larry. We loved his energy and passion for what he does immediately. Everyone at Simply Gourmet is simply THE BEST. They are caring, dedicated, and experienced. We were in the best hands in the business. Larry's food is fit for a fine dining experience. So many of our guests raved about the food. It was hot, delicious, and thoughtfully crafted to be a work of art in our mouths. Simply Gourmet is a fantastic catering service! We met with Jamie, who owns the business with her husband, over a year prior to a planned birthday party and a follow-up next day brunch. Jamie spent a considerable amount of time assisting us in planning a menu and all the accessories needed for a terific party for 32 people. She was always accessible for consultation as questions came up and changes were considered. The food was as good as it gets, as was the service provided by Marlene, Erin and Jeremy. All was picture perfect! It should be noted that Jamie spent about 20 minutes at the Saturday evening event to personally insure all was to our satisfaction. The following day Marlene came to our home and completely took charge of the entire brunch and again, the food was tasty and plentiful. Simply Gourmet is a five-star plus catering service. The entire experience with Simply Gourmet was nothing short of perfect. Jamie and her husband Chef Larry are simply wonderful, their staff are absolutely superb, and their food is AMAZING. Our wedding guests cannot stop raving about how great the food AND service was. The staff were so wonderful that all of our guests still remember each and every one of them by first name. Jamie is an absolute sweetheart, and was always available whenever I needed to contact her. She listens well to what your wishes and vision are, and does everything in her power to make your vision come to life. Chef Larry truly has a talent for creating dishes that bring out the natural flavor of each ingredient. He does not need to use heavy sauces and overload on salt and spices to make food taste good. He travels all over the world and nation to find the best ingredients, then does his magic to make the natural flavors come out. Simply Gourmet catered our daughter's wedding on June 12 at the Crosley Estate. Using SG was by far the best decision we made. From the early planning stages to the day of event the experience with SG was flawless. Jamie and Larry do such a wonderful job, I can't recommend a better caterer. We went with steak, salmon or vegetarian selections. The meals were perfectly prepared, tasty and the servings were very generous. Jamie and her staff ran a seamless event serving over 150 guests in a timely manner. The SG staff was attentive to all of our needs and took very good care of all of our guests. I can not say enough good things about Simply Gourmet. From the beginning of our planning over a year ago we have had a great experience, from picking our food to linens etc Becky was a great help! Hiring her as a day of coordinator was hands down the best decision I have ever made. We did a 70th Birthday Party for my brother this past weekend. All I can say is WOW and Double WOW! This company handled everything. I was over a 1000 miles away but when I arrived two days before the event all I had to do was relax. Everything was taken care of. The servers, Shannon, Kelley and Jason were all exceptional. The food, everyone completely cleared everything away. Always a good sign. Every single one of my guests all from the Sarasota area complemented me and said, "Where did you find this caterer?" They were so easy to deal with and worked with us on a quick wedding menu matching our budget and made it look like a gourmet buffet menu. Simply Gourmet is definitely our go-to caterer. Over the past few years, they have catered five large events for 80+ people. Recently, they catered our small Thanksgiving dinner party. It was with the same professionalism and attention as in the past. Their entire team is the personification of service! We had a Siesta Sunset SendOff party in our back yard for about 40 friends - from the first contact to the last minute and clean-up they took care of my every need: helped me plan, set up the tables and flower arrangements, served up outstanding food, attended my guests at the bar and with passed hors d'ouvres, interacted with the guests, and left everything as if nothing had happened there! We attended a wedding recently for family friends and we were amazed not only at the wedding itself, but the professionalism, attentiveness, and amazing work Simply Gourmet did. We were wowed by the food entirely. From the appetizers that kept flowing, until the last morsel on our dinner plates. For the first time, we were too full to even try the wedding cake! Simply Gourmet did a party for 30 people in my home. It was the most wonderful, professional, delicious experience! They came and previewed my house so when the ladies came to set up they knew exactly the space, theme, color scheme, etc. They did the set up as if they had been here a hundred times.
