When I arrived, I reminded the nail tech that I was there for a dip manicure. It appeared that she was the only employee working at the time and there were no other customers. From the moment I sat down, she never greeted me or spoke a single word. Mind you, she was the one I spoke on the phone with. She didn't ask what nail shape I wanted and simply placed a few color options on the table and tapped them. The entire experience felt very awkward and uncomfortable. When she began removing my previous dip, she wrapped my nails in foil with alcohol twice and then used the drill to remove the rest. I get dip manicures every 2-3 weeks, so I'm familiar with the process, but the drill speed was extremely high and began burning my nails and cuticles. It hurt enough that I was repeatedly flinching and pulling my fingers away. Despite this, she never acknowledged it or checked in. She then began filing my nails very aggressively and filed so hard that my cuticle started bleeding. I pointed it out to her and said "I'm bleeding," but she still didn't respond or acknowledge it. At that point I almost left, but decided to give the service another chance. She did eventually slow down and finish the set. After washing my hands, I noticed my pointer finger was missing powder and asked her to fix it, which she did. I paid, tipped, and left because I just wanted to get out of there. However, a few days later my cuticles are still damaged and sore, and I'm very unhappy with how the service was handled. The lack of communication, the painful drilling, and the aggressive filing made this one of the worst nail experiences I've had. I didn't get the technician's name because she never spoke during the appointment, but she appeared to be the only employee working until another male employee arrived around 5 PM, so it should be easy for management to identify who it was. I'm leaving this review so others can be aware and hopefully the salon can address the issue.
