However, there was a ton of live plants and truckloads of fresh vegetables for sale. Couple that with gourmet cheeses and baked and canned goods and you have a situation you could spend a lot of money on. As a snack, we bought a jalapeño cheese roll which was very good. You could definitely do some wallet damage here. I'd like to see this place on a weekend. My one criticism are the produce prices. $3.99/lb for slicing tomatoes and $12 for a watermelon. Other produce is equally expensive. This is rather boujee pricing and it's obvious they aren't targeting the average consumer. I love supporting local farmers but prices like this make it difficult. Come and check it out for yourself. It really is a sight to see and you could spend a whole morning or afternoon here. But guard your wallet. It would be easy to get carried away here.

But like most farmer's markets, "most" prices are no cheaper than your local grocery store, but the selecatiosn here are great. Espeially now in the Fall with tiomns of pumpkins & gourds, Saw stands with huige selections of plants & shrubs for home gardens & landscaping. Bought some fresh NC corn & honey. While we waited for the event to begin, we walked around the shop and loved seeing the beautiful variety of flowers with everything from potted plants and hanging baskets to herbs and vegetables you can take home and plant yourself. When we headed back outside, we noticed a huge strawberry field behind the store, plus an ice cream area serving fresh strawberry ice cream, which was such a sweet surprise. It made the whole experience even more special. Such a cute spot for families, especially during springtime!

Most of the time, you will only find maybe 4-5 stands selling local produce, and maybe a booth or two of various other local artisans and sellers. The produce is always great, I just hope we start to see a wider variety of options. It would be great to see some organic options as well. The prices have always been excellent when I have visited. My husband and son wandered around the other side of North Hills since no one was there and I went to grab our Farmers Market items. Almost everyone had a mask on and it was a quick and safe way to continue to support local farms at this time. I walked away with great peaches, lettuce, tomatoes, flowers, cucumbers, zucchini, and a breakfast sandwich from their visiting food truck! The flowers that I scored from Blackdog Hops were beautiful AND lasted two weeks. A lot of times cut wildflowers don't hold up, but their flowers did. I also loved all the organic produce I bought from Nourishing Acre Farm, oh and of course Michael's English Muffins is a continued favorite. Can't wait to head back over soon!
