That's exactly what I walked into when I was checking out FreeStyle CrossFit. This box has to get a lot of drop-ins from out of towners. They are right downtown and super easy to get to. I happen to be a new local and am on the hunt for my new box. I was welcomed right away and signed in. I met the coach/owner for the Saturday class and shown where to put my stuff, bathrooms, etc. The space itself is small. Very simple, garage style gym. The movements were broken down before the workout and I felt like I was in great hands with the members and coach. I just moved to the area and I'm not used to the heat. Towards the end of the workout (which was a partner WOD: workout of the day) I actually had to sit down because the heat was getting to me and my vision was blurring. Instead of pushing me to keep going, I was encouraged to sit in front of the fan and drink more water. That says a lot about what type of community and support this gym offers. I'm still checking out a few other spots, so event if FreeStyle CrossFit doesn't become my new home, they certainly will see me back for a drop-in now and then.

They played some metal, but when I'm trying out, I generally don't hear the music so that was ok. The WOD was pretty grueling, but I didn't go there to sniff flowers. Bobbie Reese was a great coach and asked me what I was going to do for HSPU, I told her that I'd kip and she grabbed me an abmat. She was very welcoming, encouraging and kind. They don't get a lot of drop-ins because of how far away they are from the Strip, but if you have the time and money, it's definitely worth the sweat. I'd highly recommend dropping in if you get a chance!

There is a water bottle refill station that produces high quality H2O. The treadmills are top of the line rigs made by WOODWAY, which looks like some sort of running Batmobile and truly provides a white glove, high quality experience. Unlike conventional treadmills with a conveyor belt style running surface, WOODWAY treadmills feature a patented running surface made up of vulcanized rubber tracks which feel like a more nature surface to me. The workouts are amazing and can be personally tailor to any fitness level. Like their slogan says walk, jog, run. You chose how hard you want to push yourself. There offer a variety of workout classes focusing on walk/run, core, and/or strength and all the coaches are really great at keeping me motivated during the 55 minute workout session. If you are looking for somewhere that is affordable and flexible check them out. They offer membership package to fit most lifestyles and the owners are actively engaged in your growth and success. I am so glad I am a member and that I found this wonderful community. After working out here for less then a year averaging 3 days a week I have been able to cut almost 30 minutes off my 1/2 marathon time and ran the 2023 Roll & Roll half marathon at a personal record finishing in the top 8% of all participants.

I had sent him a text (number listed on the website) in the early am and he responded pretty quickly. He advised me to go to the back of the building where there was a roll up door. I arrived about 10 minutes before class and Brad was friendly and inviting. He never made me feel like I didn't belong and treated me as if I had been a member there for a long time. The space was very organized and there was plenty of good working equipment. They have many white boards so the week prior was still up with the results and also the WOD. PFC CrossFit was the best part of my Tuesday! I loved the vibe, the members, and the space. If my schedule allows, I'll go back this week while I'm still in town.

My schedule is crazy so it's easy for me to do a morning workout. So Sidney Wilson will arrive when you need him. Let me just tell you this. If you want a change and need a push. Sidney Wilson won't hesitate he is going to: shove, drag, murder you, and give you the encouragement to keep pushing yourself. You will go one week saying, "I got this" to him telling you we are: "lifting 90 pounds now." I honestly didn't think I could do that. I would think. this guy is on one today. But he pushed my body to physical gain the strength that I've never seen before. Everyone at work could tell a difference. The moment I got on his diet I felt better, and I felt lighter after four days! Like everything about me. I drank enough water and I was eating the right kind of foods. Of course I hit a mark where I was not loosing anymore weight, and we figured out I wasn't eating enough. If I ever had questions about if something really works or not he would explain how it does. I have never been to a Pilates studio where I felt more welcome. Every single person welcomed me and were so warm and inviting and supportive. You can really tell they have built a great community. The classes are small with only 5 or 6 reformers so you definitely feel you have individualized attention during your session. I so very much wish this studio was closer to my house. I would be there everyday.

Regardless of political views, I would never support a business that can't stop pushing politics…read moreinstead of acting professionally. It's embarrassing. Speaking loudly doesn't equal being informed--especially when your confidence seems to come solely from who you're married to, not from actual understanding. Serving by association doesn't make you an expert, and it definitely doesn't excuse the ignorance. At this point, silence would do you far fewer favors than continuing to talk and publicly embarrass yourself. And let's be honest--calling yourself a "coach" while running classes that are mostly chatting and social hour isn't fitness. It's not a workout, it's a hangout. You talk a lot, but there's zero substance to back it up. Big mouth, no follow-through.
