Greg is a smooth talker and made it seem like it would all be good. He said payment would be due upon completion although there was no mention of this in the "contract." Turns out "Remove vanity and install custom vanity" means ripping out the large existing vanity, sink, and huge mirror and then popping down the pedestal sink THAT I BOUGHT. Period. Red flag #2: When I asked Greg about the massive drywall damage, he said "Is it in the contract?" The agreement does say he does not cover drywall repair, but this was literally left in a demo state. On Day 2, while the entire floor was ripped up with the crawlspace exposed, Greg asked me for a check. I said I planned to pay him with a credit card and it would take me a few days to move money around to give him the equivalent of cash. Day 3 he walked off the job claiming non-payment. After I calmly explained that I could not be in non-payment because no payment was due, Greg came back the next day like nothing happened... All of the insulations under the half bath was wet so it had to go. Greg did not want anything to do with replacing it. I went out and bought insulation and installed it myself. Either Greg or his plumber, Drew, cracked the first sink basin during install. Luckily Home Depot replaced it with no questions and Drew came back and installed the new one. Drew was actually great. I did all of the leg work for the return, so don't expect Greg to actually stand by his work or take responsibility for mistakes. Greg made it clear he does not do hardwood floor repair and I was fine with that. Turns out, my hardwood flooring guy discovered that there was a strange strip of plywood sub floor installed to fill a gap that was not actually supported. We found out why when he pulled it up. See photos. Don't expect structural repairs to actually connect to other structural members. Don't expect your tile OR subfloor to be level or flat. Don't expect a professional job.

I contacted NHRC and Greg came out the next day for a consultation. He quoted me a price that I thought was very good for the entire bathroom remodel. Greg and his other worker were very efficient and even though we ran into a few issues (old plumbing and uneven walls), Greg was able to troubleshoot the issues and did a fantastic job with this renovation. As you can see from the photos, the bathroom turned out beautifully! I'm very happy with the results. Greg did such a great job. I will be contacting him for future renovations. They used a cheaper interior paint than was in our contract, which I think is fraud. I'll have to make sure to share my experience with our new neighbors to see if their paint was switched out too. They put siding paint on the trim, where the trim meets the siding and try to tell you it looks better that way. I have mostly dealt with men from Robuck, I feel that they have talked down to me because I am a woman. I found water damaged flooring from a faucet leak that they missed. They told us 2 business days before our scheduled closing that the house was not going to be ready to close and moved that date out. This is not a comprehensive list.

Bobby, the owner, failed to complete the project, walking away after months of delays and only about two thirds of the work done, having paid him over 85% of the quoted amount. He has refused to pay us back for the incomplete work. We were forced to hire another contractor to repair low quality work and to complete the work that Bobby failed to finish. Our experience started off well. Bobby was very responsive and seemed confident in what he was doing. However, after multiple incidents and mistakes, both small and large, it was clear that Bobby was more concerned about covering himself than making things right. He was dishonest with us about the costs of our countertops, he completely mismeasured our kitchen which caused a huge error and delay in our cabinets and he refused to meet with us to discuss these issues. His paint job was of such low quality that we had to pay to have the entire house repainted. Overall, his conduct was beyond unprofessional and borderline illegal. It all culminated when he quit on our job, mid-project, walking off with money for poor quality work and for services not yet rendered. When hiring a contractor, it is important you get someone you can trust. Unfortunately, Bobby failed that test.
