I requested a roof inspection as my roof is over 16 years old, built in 2009. Jon Kitchen contacted me the same day and we spoke re what I needed. He provided me with a next day appointment. Prior to his visit to my house, he kept me informed on his arrival time. He arrived on time and immediately began the inspection. He first took pictures of the house and roof from ground level. Then he got on the roof and inspected it. He was very thorough and found a couple of small things to be done. He caulked around several vent areas and some bare nails He did find on my back gutter found where it had become separated from the siding. He fixed that also. He took his time and finished the inspection and repairs in less than 45 minutes. Afterwards, provided me his appraisal. He stated the roof is in very good shape and wouldn't need replacing for at least two or three years. The inspection was free and he didn't charge for the small repairs. Legacy was great, You cannot get your roof replaced under insurance unless you deal with a roofer who is an expert at dealing with insurance companies. Legacy is that roofer. They guided me through the entire process. I called in an insurance claim and on the day the insurance inspector came out the Legacy sales guy was there to get on the roof and show him the damage. Several years ago I had Legacy Construction and Roofing replace my shingle roof because of hail damage. Jonathan Arnold was the person who helped me. I was very happy with the entire process. Jonathan worked with my insurance company (USAA) and I didn't have to do anything but pay the deductible. I was amazed at how fast Legacy completed the work and the quality of the installation. I would give them more than 5 stars if that was possible. My neighbors who used somebody other than Legacy did not get as good a result. Recently I had Jonathan Arnold come out and inspect my roof. The shingles are doing great but he found squirrel damage that needed attention and areas where wood has rotted. I am using Legacy to repair all that damage. I have decided to ask Jonathan to come back every few years to do a roof check up and I plan to use Legacy to repair any type of roof problem I have in the future. read more

I was extremely satisfied with the work of Legacy Construction and Roofing. Our roof was about 25 years old and had hail damage, however, they were able to obtain a full insurance payment for 100% roof replacement. But beyond the payment the entire process was smooth. The Legacy project managers kept us updated on the progress and process every step of the way. This began with coordination to schedule the insurance inspection, to material drop off, roof removal and reinstallation. As a construction specifier myself, I know the materials they used were of excellent quality and all approved by the shingle manufacturer for use in their roof system and warranty. This included the underlayment, the ice and watershield, shingle starter strips, the shingles themselves and all the way up to the vented ridge cap. The triple layer redundant valley construction was appreciated too (galvanized sheet metal, ice and watershield, California cut woven shingle valleys). They worked with us to get a slightly upgraded shingle and install perimeter metal drip edging around the entire perimeter of my roof as well (a personal request that I had). Finally, their clean up went very well too. While it is expected there will be debris during roof removal and reinstallation (and while no one can be perfect) my yard and bushes were very clean upon completion of the project. They even helped install a new roof vent fan (I bought separately) and spray painted my existing sheet metal furnace chimney black to match the roof shingle color. Of course, the biggest test was that within a week we had our first rain and there were NO LEAKS! My wife and I are very glad we chose Legacy Construction and Roofing to perform our roofing work. read more

Typical storm chasers. Just like some of the other roofing companies who drive by the community after a storm and approach you, claiming to work through the entire repair process including working with the insurance company only to drop off and disappear when the insurance adjustor's assessment doesn't meet their expectations. I had some wind damage and this roofer was expecting a whole roof replacement. In his words "my goal is to have the whole roof replaced". The insurance adjustor recommended limited repair instead. After informing the roofer of this assessment - no response, total silence. They seem to be not interested to do the repair. Lesson learned. Don't fall for phony ratings and accreditations, and stay away from the storm chasers who come knock on your door for roofing service! read more
