Saw Dr. Joshman Singh for my first appt. He's super easy to be around/ talk to. I felt comfortable while he repaired a preexisting filling and filled a cavity. I appreciate him looking over my x-rays and explaining/answering my questions. He saw some tiny cavities but recommended we use a solution that helps dissolve the bacteria ( hopefully explaining that correct.) instead of drilling a hole to fill them. He seems current and knowledgeable and moves quick which I appreciate with my TMJ I've had fillings in the past where its misaligned my bite, he does good work making sure your bite is balanced. . read more

I have been taking my mother in law here for quite a few years. She has advanced dementia and several health problems that limit her mobility including a fused neck which keeps her from being able to tilt her head back. All this to say, she is far from an easy patient. Despite all of her challenges, the staff have always treated her with incredibly gentle caring and the utmost respect. The last time we came, we could no longer get her out of the wheelchair into the dental chair so instead the hygienist did some crazy acrobatic moves to clean her teeth while she sat in her wheelchair! (Did I mention my MIL can't move her head/neck at all? Not an easy task for the hygienist at all!) Dr. Calcagno treats her like a queen every time we come and she loves it!! I like the environment friendly staff however I will not be returning after only one visit. After changing my cleaning app 3 times I finally got in and it was a pleasant experience. I got two appointments for deep cleaning months in advanced because it was booked up as my appointment came near I get a confirmation text to confirm app which I did than two days later get a call saying the the dentist will not be in that day and will be on vacation and will have to reschedule literally 4 days before my appointment after I had already taken work off. This is not the kind of business that I want to patronize I will find another dentist who is better with scheduling. Maybe if your retired and have no life and can swing there crazy appointment cancellations and rescheduling this will be the place for you. read more

I can't say enough about how great Dr. Calcagno after two years of dental neglect due to a bad experience with a prior dentist. Upon my first visit Dr. Calcagno laid out a treatment plan that entailed quite a bit of work (numerous fillings) but I appreciated how he laid everything out up front and we set up a plan to take care of everything over 4 visits. Getting fillings is the worst and no one likes that, but Dr. Calcagno made the process as painless and easy as possible. The touch I liked best was a call from him a day or two later to check in and make sure all is well. One time my bite was a bit off, after getting my last filling, and all it took was a call to the office and I was in the next day to get that fixed no problem. His staff is friendly, efficient and very good at their jobs and Dr. Calcagno is top notch. My new dentist even said how extremely well all my fillings were done upon my initial exam after moving away from Capitola. I've been using these guys for a year and really appreciate how wonderful they are.
