We went on the Singing River Tours on 11/21/25 and it was excellent! The pontoon boat is spacious and very comfortable to ride on. Jon was an excellent tour guide and entertainer as well. Andy piloted the boat. The tour lasted about one and a half hours and was a very affordable trip, only $25 per person. The rivers were beautiful and we saw quite a bit of Florida wildlife. If you enjoy nature and learning more about it, this is the tour for you!

The tour guys are awesome A special treat (not to be spoiled) but the singing part was a very special part of the tour

Jon on the Singing River Tours in Dunnellon, FL is a wealth of information. Anyone interested in nature, wildlife and history about Florida will enjoy his tour. It's a great way to spend an hour and 1/2 on the Rainbow and Withlacoochee rivers. The visual of the crystal clear, spring fed Rainbow River meeting the Withlacoochee River is a cool sight to see.

Wow! John sure knows how to educate and entertain! Being a native Floridian I still love acting like a tourist on occasion. This tour takes about 1.5 hours and is just filled with useful information about the Withlahachee and Rainbow rivers. The wildlife is everywhere and it was a pleasurable and rich experience. John is not only knowledgeable, but talented as well. It's the most worthwhile tour in the area!

Just loved this tour! Highly recommend for any visiting Dunnellon, or near. The tour guides were very friendly, funny, and knowledgeable about the area. I learned a lot about the water ways, the local town, sea creatures, land creatures, all from a locals perspective! I've added a few pictures, but you'll have to take the tour to see it all :)

Excellent day! I went on the Singing River tour with my folks and my son and daughter in law. They were out visiting from Colorado and loved the nature and wildlife of the Florida river. Jon was not only interesting and informative but an excellent singer. Thank you Jon and Andy i highly recommend the Singing River Tour to all!!! Jan Joann & Gordon Skyler & Tina

This is the trip I take my visiting friends on. Great educational tour and very relaxing. A bunch of local restaurants before or after the pontoon ride to grab a bite.

What a great Valentine's Day spent on the Singing River Tour! Captain Andy and Captain John were very accommodating to our group of 9! We learned so much about the Rainbow & Withlacoochee rivers and all of the amazing wildlife that call this special place home. Andy navigated our vessel into the twisting waterways and scouted wildlife while John shared stories, sang songs, made jokes and spoke about the many interesting facts about this pristine area of Dunnellen. We highly recommend this tour..the nine of us had a memorable time and will definitely bring visitors back! Thanks for a wonderful outing!

From the moment we arrived, the place had this incredible energy -- the kind of spot that instantly makes you think, I'd camp here in a heartbeat. The grounds were beautiful, the amenities looked top‑notch, and the whole atmosphere felt like a hidden gem waiting to be discovered. And the staff? Absolutely phenomenal. Genuine, warm, and the kind of people who clearly love what they do. I hesitated to wander into the camper store since we weren't staying overnight, but now I wish I had -- the whole place had that welcoming, "come on in" vibe. I wasn't sure if the campground and airboat tours were run separately, but everyone we met felt like part of one big, enthusiastic team. Before the tour, the staff came out and gave us a fascinating crash course on gators -- and then we got to hold Luke the gator. Let me tell you, once you hold Luke, something changes. You walk away feeling like you've bonded with a gator. I'm not kidding -- I still catch myself wondering how Luke is doing. Then came the airboat ride. We loaded up, the engine kicked in, and suddenly we were flying across the lake. Our tour guide Kyle was outstanding -- knowledgeable, funny, confident, and able to answer every question thrown his way. For my first airboat experience, I was genuinely impressed by how smooth and skilled he was behind the controls. We spotted plenty of baby gators and even a mama gator. Sure, I would've loved to see a few more, but for the price, the thrill, and the overall experience, it was absolutely worth it. We were on the 12:45 tour, so the time of day may have played a role -- but honestly, I left feeling thrilled. If I could change one thing, it would be knowing ahead of time that tips for the guides are cash‑only. We weren't carrying American cash, and Kyle definitely earned a tip. Adding that note to the FAQ or confirmation messages would be super helpful for future guests. All in all, this was an unforgettable experience -- exciting, educational, and genuinely fun from start to finish. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for something unique, thrilling, and full of heart.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles, warmth, and encouragement. I was personally a bit nervous since I hadn't paddle boarded much before, but every step of the way we felt supported and truly cared for. Hearing about the family's passion for protecting the ecosystem and the manatees, along with all the helpful tips they shared to optimize our experience, was absolutely incredible. When we got to the dock, we were guided so kindly - Mike even held our shoes in his truck for us! When he noticed me struggling a bit, he took the time to give me multiple tips on how to better move in the water and maneuver the board, which made such a difference. We saw so many manatees, including mama and baby pairs, which was unforgettable. When we returned to the dock and shared how excited we were, Mike went above and beyond once again by recommending another nearby location we could walk to where we ended up seeing even more manatees up close and personal. I would 10/10 recommend Manatee Paddle to anyone looking for an incredible manatee experience. I am so grateful to Mike and his family for making our day so special. THANK YOU!!

The area is a bit small and there isn't really a lot of sun spots for you to chill at. It is cool to experience once but I think if you tube, you still will be able to get a swim in because parts of the river are pretty deep. After the swim area, we headed to the tubing section. It is a 15 minute drive from the main park entrance. The fee was 54 for two people that had an annual pass. Highly recommend bringing a small cooler with snacks and drinks and an extra tube for it. It took us about 2 hours to float back to our car and the river is very calm and relaxing. I've floated a river in San Antonio but wasn't as nice as Rainbow springs. Very clean and the water is sooo clear. Overall, really enjoyed our day visit to this state park!

We kept getting stuck in trees and bushes. The fun part was getting to swim in the clear water and passing off our tubes to a floating friend to hold onto. We also saw an otter. The lady at the rental station was very generous and let us borrow multiple pairs of goggles and masks. There were a bunch of motorboats passing by and blasting their music. They disturbed us with their waves and noise. It was around $27 per person in addition to $5 for one vehicle, and we paid all the fees upon entrance to the parking lot. They take you on a safari-like tram to get to the tubing entrance. I strongly recommend water shoes because my friends were suffering while barefoot on the hot ground. The walk was unexpectedly long and painful for my barefoot friends. They don't have showers or any sort of water spout/hose, so it was kind of gross to not be able to rinse the river gunk off then drive hours back to a major city. They have restrooms, but they were already closed when we walked from the river exit back to the tube station, even though the actual park wasn't closed yet, and there were still employees there. This was very inconvenient, and I wish they had at least told us in advance because we didn't have a place to change. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the restrooms to stay open while the park is open. Also, they have you sign a waiver that says you must wear a lifejacket at all times. They didn't even offer us one, so I was baffled why they made us sign a waiver that said that. Can't they get into legal trouble if they don't actually provide lifejackets? I was troubled by the fact that we had to sign something that wasn't in the slightest bit enforced.

Elizabeth took us to Lemon Tree Gift shop first where you have an opportunity to see so may unique gifts many produced by local crafters. We were treated to unique American dishes, BBQ, seafood, and home made doughnuts and ice cream.
