There were two tables outside with customers. There was no one at the bar and maybe 3 tables seated inside. We walked in and were talking about whether we wanted to get a table or sit at the bar. We started walking towards the bar when the bartender walked by and in a very rude tone said, Can you all wait to be seated? We stopped and said oh sure. We were caught off guard because the bar seating is typically open seating. After digesting how rudely the bartender talked to us we decided to go elsewhere and left. Could have been a completely different situation had he asked us nicely or greeted us and said something like, we'll be right with you! As someone who has worked in the service industry for years, specifically high end restaurants, it was no way to be "greeted" or spoken to. Won't be back - plenty of other businesses in town to spend our money with!

That 1st smell of a good cigar bar is awesome. It's way bigger than it appeared from the street. I wondered into one of the two walk in humidors as the wife headed to the bar for a glass of wine. I selected a few Rocky Patels and then got me a rum n coke. I passed on lighting a stick up as I knew we wouldn't be there that long. Visited with the owner, who helped me select some of the sticks I selected. Nice guy. The wife and I had a good time. Next time I'll plan for a longer visit. Later.

The shopkeeper came out with a sandwich board and told the people that they had to move down the sidewalk so that he could put out his signage. He was not conducting business during the parade. He was just out there, puffing on his cigar. Why couldn't he have waited until after the parade was over to put out his signage that advertised cheap cigarettes boxes?!

The selection was great. Whites, reds, rosès and sparkling from near and far. We landed on a lovely Spanish red after sampling a few options. The ladies running the place were so knowledgeable and helpful. We had some nice conversations with other folks at the bar as well. Not surprising, as Brenham usually provides warm conversation whenever folks are out for a drink. There is also beer, sodas, and other beverages in the cooler. We also enjoyed a small focaccia bread pizza at the end of the visit. It was the perfect snack to end the afternoon of sips around time.
