I felt singled out as i was the only person drinking from a soap scum build up cup. I wasn't paying too close of attention when i first drank from my glass, as i am coming in walking from discount tire with my 1.5 year old in tow. After taking a needed drink from my glass i look down and it looked funny, i then take my finger and scrap out some of the build up. Immediately i was so grossed out. I began to look around and noticed every one else had crystal clear (as much as plastic cups can be) glasses they were served. Ok y'all, it's a chili's. It's not the best food, but it is nostalgic as hell. You're eating at a chain that's only slightly better than the others. Here's your order: You're going to get the 3 for me special. Upgrade the drink to a house margarita. Get the guacamole, caesar side salad, or the salsa with chips as the app - it won't blow your mind, but this is NOT the main focus here. Crispy honey chipotle chicken crispers - THIS IS IT. This is what you're supposed to order NO MATTER WHAT. It comes with corn and fries, but you can substitute for the other sides. I recommend keeping as is. If you're feeling fun, get a dessert, but tbh the only one I'd get would be the skillet cookie (which is not subsidized in the special). Regarding service here- they were great. Honestly the best service I've had at a chili's in my lifetime. I came here for a quick and easy dinner to-go and the food was exactly what I was hoping for! I ordered the 3 for me (which was a perfect deal for me) and got the Shrimp Fajitas, Southwest Chicken Soup and Strawberry Lemonade. The fajitas were delicious! I loved all the toppings and got guac (you oddly have to ask for it, but they delivered) and everything was great. Soup and lemonade also hit the spot. I did curbside pick up which was super easy to navigate and I was grateful for it after a long day at work. My only issue was I didn't get a straw or utensils... Yes, I did indicate that I would like some when ordering. This was only a big deal because I do not live in Brenham and was staying at a hotel, thus I have no access to straws or utensils and actually needed them. Luckily for me I had a spoon and fork in my lunchbox that I used. Let's be honest...you don't go to Chilis for fine dining and that has never been my expectation, but the Brenham location gives new meaning to mediocre and the service pushed in all the way down. The table we were given was dirty, the appetizer plates landed on the table, fresh out of the dishwasher (thankfully clean) with puddles of water in the stack - the server we stopped, apologizes and asks if we want her to dry them? Really you have to ask... she returns with paper towels (from a restroom dispenser), almost as if to make a point of how inconvenienced she was. We ordered a large appetizer platter for our group of 5 and it looked like a variety of Taco Bell food. Needless to say the quality of our main meal was edible at best. I went there for dinner tonight and sat at the bar because I was alone and wanted to watch the Astros play on TV on their amazing big screen TV A lovely personable woman named Casey was tending the Bar section and took the time to be attentive to me, in spite of being busy making drinks for the tables. A server named Holly cruised by and asked me if the Fajitas I ordered were satisfactory. I was so impressed by the service I received tonight I had to give them an outstanding review. I am visiting from San Diego and have eaten out for a month now at different places and the servers and the ancillary staff made me feel at home. Bravo to these hard working and friendly staff who went out of their way to make their customers happy. I have not experienced this at any other restaurant since I have been here in Brenham. Don't waste your money here the food is hardly worth it and the service definitely isn't. I have come multiple times had multiple terrible experiences, there is probably a total of 3 good servers that work at this establishment, the rest are inattentive, rude, and wreak of weed. One of the days when I was pulling into the parking lot my boyfriend and I saw 3 chilis employees smoking and the second we got out of the car we knew it was weed. To top that experience off we also got to hear them talking shit about the customers, god forbid they actually have to do their job well for a decent tip and no complaints. I've been served cold food on more than one occasion and just the other day I actually had a cook serve me my food because the servers were moving that slowly. Food was good and the staff was nice, but please bring back REAL menus. I understand the issues with Covid, but we shouldn't come to a restaurant to look on our phones. Is it mandated that this chain provides poor service across the board? Because it sure seems that way. Based on literally the past twenty years of negative experiences at Chili's in multiple cities and states I sadly never am able to convince my husband to give any Chili's a try because, despite me also knowing about the level of consistent suck, sometimes Chili's chicken tenders and chips and salsa sound good. Today he specifically wanted to watch Baylor play so we decided to give Chili's a chance. We tried to order food to go about a month ago and I sat on hold for the entire 20 minute drive into town. But hey, somehow they are always busy, right? We also thought they had finally closed because they've had caution tape across one of the entrance drives for a good while now. Nope - just a huge pothole. Walked in to no employee in sight. A customer was at the bar - no bartender. A couple was seated in the restaurant section - no employees. No greeter, no one. Another couple walked in and we just stood there and chatted about how Chili's was living up to their own standards. "Hello?", I hollered in the direction of the kitchen. No one. Finally, seriously about five minutes later, a young girl wandered out and offered to seat us. This is where I expressed my unsurprised distaste in the situation. What gets me is that we can't be the only two people in America who consistently experience crappy service at Chili's. The couple who came in behind us wasn't surprised at the situation and actually was happy I was going to say something. So why aren't things better? Chili's used to be reliably good. Horrible experience! We ordered cheese fries and the cheese came out burnt and crispy. Asked them to remake them and the second time the came out, they were the same. The manager made them a 3rd time but they were still over cooked. We ordered the sirloin "medium" and it came out rare. We sent it back to the kitchen and it came out medium rare. Finally I just asked the manager to remove it from our check. The manager and server was very nice but we won't ever revisit this location. read more

If I could give this establishment 0 stars I would have. First off it took a while to be seated. When we got to our table another server took our drink order after waiting almost 10 minutes. Then another 10 mins later our server came by to take our order. Didn't even say his name. We gave our order, we ordered the 2 for 25 and some other stuff. We ordered the chips and salsa, which never came. We finally stopped our waiter after about 15 mins to ask where the chips and salsa was and he said, oh let me get that. What he did next was the cherry on top of our visit. He walked off before we could ask for anything else, walked into the kitchen and shook his head and went... "ughhh". Like he was annoyed he asked for something we already ordered. The food took forever to come out. People who came in after us left before us. I even had to go to the bar to get a refill. Not once did our waiter come ask if we needed anything. We felt like we were an inconvenience. We asked for the manager, and the manager and told him our experience. He blamed it on not being able to get any staff hired. I counted 12 front house employees. Not including the manager or cool staff. I counted bartender, Togo staff, and waiters. So how in this little restaurant is 12 people not enough staff? I head an HR department for an entire company and know how hard it is to find staff, but other tables are getting good service, we were not. You have the waiter but they are too busy sitting and putting together silverware packets and staying in the back then checking on his ONE table. Unacceptable. Hope management, starts managing their staff and reminding them what good customer service is rather than ignoring your customers who tip by the way. Then at the end the waiter brings us the wrong check. I just can't even make this stuff up. It's that bad. read more

The is one of the smaller Chili's I have been to. Server did well even though she got a couple things wrong or messed up. But she corrected them well. Ordered the spinach artichoke dip. It was okay. Certainly not the best. But ehhhhh Had the carnitas and steak fajita. It was surprisingly good. Steak was cooked medium and pork came out very lean. Onions and green peppers where semi-charred and well seasoned. But the best part was their 6 sample of different topping to put on your fajitas. Pico de galo. Guac. Shredded Cheese, and a pickled onion and jalapeño salsa which was super tasty. All and all it was tasty for a change. read more
