A hidden gem in the middle of nowhere Texas. I happen to stumble on this place while looking for seafood in Brenham and I must say I was quite impressed with the options. The fish was very well season and didn't feel frozen. The fried rice was cooked pretty well also but the shrimp threw me off a little(didnt seem fresh). The service was really good though which made being here worthwhile. The actual restaurant itself I would say needs updating but compared to many in the area, I think its right on par with what we would expect. Overall I would come here again! For the vibes I usually get in this small town, this restaurant seemed like a safe option. read more

Pleasant lunch experience! Server Victoria Corey was helpful with wonderful personality. The catfish meal was hot and fresh, salad and coleslaw crispy and fresh. The menu is huge and there are lots of choices. Our server was new, and it showed. I don't mind at all being patient with a new server and did not take any stars off for the service, which was actually terrible. But her mom, who also worked here, stepped in several times and helped her out. She was very personable and I'm sure she's an excellent server. Everything we ordered was delicious with one exception, well, two. The rice that seems to come with everything was a little strange. Not sure what was in it, but it was very different. None of us cared for it, but some people must like it since they serve so much of it. Again not taking stars off, but I didn't like it. The biggest disappointment was the grilled chicken. My mom and I both ordered it, and it was so dry and tough, we just took it to go for our dogs. My mom originally ordered the filet mignon, but they were out. So, she switched to chicken. The grilled chicken came with that rice, grilled veggies, and choice of Cole slaw or salad. My mom got salad, which was good. The rest of us got slaw, and it was also good. I thought rice and veggies were weird sides and would have preferred a baked potato. The other two people with us got the grilled salmon and the grilled catfish. Both were very good. read more

Easily the worst meal I've had in Brenham. Rated one star so I could post a review, and I'm not one to post a review of what I'm assuming is a locally ran restaurant. The "Best Seafood" award must have been bought...or earned during happy hour with swayed tastebuds. Every dish we tried was off. Service was fine at most but it's a Wednesday so I won't hold that against them. Got our food quickly and somehow it was all over done. Our family had the calamari, stuffed shrimp, fried shrimp, catfish and chicken tenders. I guess if you go, don't try any of that. read more

I placed a Phone pick up order at this restaurant and it was ready with in 20 minutes; cashier was quite pleasant, which gave me high hopes for the meal. We ordered four ears of fried corn, 1 crab cake, two chicken po' boys with fries and two orders of hush puppies. All of the food came with multiple tubs of herbed butter, although tasty it would've been nice to had some tartar sauce as well . My chicken po, boys were not very good. They were not even assembled so that I could eat them. My french fries were absolutely terrible!; at least fry some signature fries; not so lame, crinkle cut fries that you get at an elementary school cafeteria. My wife's crabcake was also very disappointing. We should've simply have ordered the fried, battered corn and hush puppies. Our $50 meal plus tip was rather disappointing. Hands Down Best Long Islands I've had in forever!!! I thought Sealand's were pretty good, not anymore Well Yelp era this one is difficult to judge. I have eaten here a total of 3 times in 6 years. The first time the food and service were horrendous. The 2nd, the service was slow (Though the server was amazing herself) food was ok. Which brings me to today. I made time to sit back and get the best out of this local restaurant. My sons and I were sitting for 20 minutes before someone (not our server) asked us for drinks. Our actual server came by once our drinks were served and asked if we were ready to order. Not if we wanted appetizers (which we did), so when I said we wanted apps she nodded and asked us to say what we wanted to include our meal. We order the fried pickles and a 6 Jumbo Shrimp cocktail. Plus all three of our orders. Mine included a filet with a lobster tail. (Yes even this Mass girl is willing to give it a try in the middle of Texas!) I wish I took a picture of the 6 shrimp seated on an empty glass with absolutely no cocktail sauce in it, but I forgot. I asked the lady where it was and she said "I didn't have a pen to write your order down so I wasn't sure exactly what you ordered, I'll bring you the cocktail sauce." Yes folks, verbatim that is what she said. This should have clued me in on the rest of my order but nahhh... I held out hope. She brought cocktail sauce, ketchup and tarter sauce (no clue about that last one) to us in junky squeeze bottles from another table. I don't mean a squeeze bottle of a name brand sauce, I mean generic plastic red, yellow and white squeeze bottles. I have made a mistake of getting their salad too many times before so I asked for a side of cole slaw instead (picture to follow on how they served that Ahead of the meal). The steak I ordered medium rare came out medium well and since I hadn't seen my server since the meals were delivered, I didn't get a chance to say anything. With this said I don't usually hold out much hope after 3X at one place. However I have noticed the decline in customer service the past few years in our little town and the food we got tasted good (Just over cooked). Will I go here on a date with my husband, absolutely NEVER! Will I meet a bunch of sweet ladies for lunch, probably. So I give it 3 s instead of 2. Cruised up on a Spring Saturday for a Blue Bonnet trip for the wife. Went here after visiting downtown. Wife had one of the specials of the day a T-Bone steak with rice and broccoli... it was huge and cooked just the way she likes ! I had the Grilled catfish, shrimp, dirty rice and coleslaw. Also got an order of Hush puppies. Plenty of leftovers, it's a hole in the wall and was great. Tori was our server and she gets 10/10. All I can say is it's places like this I always seek out on the road. Some better some worse but I rank this place as one I would recommend and go back to. Came here for dinner one night during the week. We were the only people in the restaurant. The waitress was nice and the service was fast but the food was not anything special. In my opinion, some of it lacked flavor while some other dishes were tough (ie the fried calamari). Worst chicken fried steak ive ever eaten. It was extremely chewy. It took me 20 seconds just to jiggle my knife through the meat enough to be able to eat a piece. More fried batter than meat. My server was rude and kept rushing us. We went here for the end of the Super Bowl and they didn't even think to change the tv to the game where we were sitting. My server also charged me for the mashed potatoes which she said was a no additional add on. So, since she lied, I took the additional tip money to cover the additional charge I was lied to about. My favorited things are the fried shrimp, grilled shrimp, grilled red snapper, grilled flounder, stuffed crabs, and NY strip steaks. The menu is large, weighted towards seafood and steaks, as per their name. Now, for light eaters, keto people, aside from naked seafood or steak, there wasn't much. I had 4 shrimp eggrolls with peanut sauce. The sauce was delicious, but I think the shrimp must have escaped the net ... My companion had a steak. It was cooked per request. It was accompanied by small amounts of zucchini and broccoli, baked potato. It, also, came with a house salad -- you know, the pedestrian kind: iceberg lettuce, a few tomato slices. Bill: $31 apx. No beverages. I thought it was a bit high, but judge for yourself. Would I go back? Probably not, because there are a lot of other places to eat in Brenham. My son and I visited this place Friday evening and we were very disrespected and treated unfairly. The waitress was very ugly toward my son and I. She might as well had threw our food to us. She put our plates on the edge of the table and when I asked her to move my son's plate over, she responded he can too and walked away. People with this sort of attitude should not work with the public. My son and I were nothing but nice to this lady! We did not deserve this treatment. Decent food. Would have given a good review, but I ordered water with lemon. My water was brought to me with a lime. When I asked about the lemon, the waiter said they didn't have any. Ok..no big deal. Guess what came with my meal? A big slice of lemon. I asked the waiter about not having lemon. He said that his manager said they don't give lemon with water. I was enjoying my meal of crawfish & catfish until I got through half of my plate of coleslaw and saw a dead fly right in the middle. The waitress apologized yet seemed less than concerned and asked me if I wanted a new plate? To which I politely declined considering it was very obvious that it did not just fly onto the plate once it was brought to the table, it had made its way in as the slaw was being prepared. Yuck!! Out of oysters on half shelf. Out of t-bones. We had calamari as app. Husband had salad with Ranch and I had coleslaw - both terrible. Husband had fried Crawfish Tails and fries. I had soft-shell crab but waitress did not know the difference between stuffed crab and soft-shell crab so there was a bit of confusion with the order. Food was nothing special. Wait staff, with the exception of one waitress, were all in the back laughing and screaming at the top of their lungs. We could not get a glass of water until the other waitress, not ours, came by and took empty plates and brought water. First weekend away from home alone with my husband since my mother's death in December and my husband is now violently ill with diarrhea and vomiting. We can only assume it is food poisoning since it came on within 2 hours of dinning at this establishment. THANKS! Calling Health Department first thing Monday morning! The first thing that was a disappointment was that when the cheeseburger my daughter ordered came without cheese. We had to wait as the waitress was the only one on the floor so I finally had to take the burger to her to get the cheese added. When she brought back it was Swiss cheese in melted. I asked why Swiss not American she said they ran out. So maybe she should have mentor his before. The French fry's were cooked very well crunchy. The salad was great. The catfish was ok. Overall. This was not a great meal. The waitress was slow with service as she was the only one in the floor. Shame on management for not helping out. My wife had the coconut shrimp and she was pleased with it. I decided to have a simple steak and vegetables. I ordered the T- bone medium rare. It is suppose to be between 10-16oz it may had have been 10 as it was extremely thin. The bad part was how tough and stingy it was. Worst steak I have had in years.
