Our cat hides from strangers so Alexis didn't get to meet her. I explained that our cat is a little bit wild, a picky eater, gets hairballs, and is weary of strangers. We were worried that our cat would just hide and barely eat. But after the first visit, our cat warmed up to Alexis. I just need to say that years after my first review Alexis is still my go-to for caring for my cat. She is so reliable and kind. Brody has kidney disease and requires daily subcutaneous fluid infusions (lactated ringers). When I found out I was so worried I was going to have to board him at the vet whenever I was away, but Alexis didn't even flinch. She administers fluids to him with love whenever I am away, and I feel better knowing Brody is stress-free and comfortable at home. She keeps an observant eye out for his well-being: She'll turn on the AC or heat if the temperature is uncomfortable, administer medicine if he needs it, text me updates, and let me know if anything seems different - like a lackluster coat or change in habits. I used Alexis for the first time this past weekend for my cat. She was awesome! My cat normally hides under the bed when strangers come over, but Alexis sent me a picture on the first day and her and Sage were BFF's already. We refer to Alexis as "the other woman" in my house because my dog loves her so much. She comes every weekday when I'm at work and takes my boy out for a good long walk and then back to the house for fresh water, treats and some lovin' and brushin' before turning his "stories" on the TV for him when she leaves. On those occasions where I have a late meeting Alexis may swing by and make sure he gets a potty break and dinner also. We are so glad we found Alexis in time for our most recent trip. As much as I liked our previous pet sitter, he didn't spend as much time with our two young cats as I would have liked. Alexis took the time to get to know each of our boys, giving our outgoing Wesley the attention he needed while giving shy Jordi the space to warm up on his schedule. Our second use of Alexis was a big test for both us as worrisome pet owners and her dedication to her craft. We hired her for 25 days in a row - and she blew us away with her service. She kept us informed daily with texts, including a worrisome couple of days of nothing in the litter box and then a text with "SUCCESS!" as out little boy apparently stopped his protest from us leaving. We came home to a clean little box, full and clean water, food, etc. She even cleaned up a little accident while we were gone. We have already scheduled her for a weekend trip next month.
