Groomers are excellent but consistently late. The owner said that I was disrespectful? and lacked understanding because I didn't understand a 2 plus hour delay on a Friday evening. I AM PAYING FOR A SERVICE WITH A SET TIME. 15-30 minutes fine. 2. 1/2 hours. And cancelled us. Never called back. Unprofessional Apparently their mobile grooming vehicle spends a lot of time in the shop. That's been an excuse/reason twice. Barklife is so much better. I would welcome her response. We used the mobile grooming service at Barks and Recreation for the first time and couldn't be happier. Our golden retriever, Weasley, needed a summer cut. Amy was great with him. Pups safest...least of thier concern even though stated by Mindy. Rex. Groomer swaying while driving groomer truck, that groomer openly states how she drinks all the time etc. Speaking of drinking employees have smelt alcohol on another employees breath even arriving for an 7 pm till 8 am overnight shift. Sagety? Employees constantly on thier phone except one dealing with personal issues, vaping (yes, smoke blown in dogs faces while they sit in employees laps} and no attention to dogs, poisono worms live in the oak trees out back and if your dog is bitten by them, illness or death will result, employees not spraying the poop spot with disinfectant after picking up poops, employ not changing drinking water during shifts and spot cleaning etc. Be Careful!For. Also, when big dogs are aggressive, mean, humping etc they move the big dog to the small dog area. Unsafe and wrong for the small dog. Also, several dogs bit and almost lost a tooth {had to go to vet er) due to several dog's aggressive fighting behavior. Be careful! read more

The owner showed me around the beautiful new environment! I love that someone stays overnight. This is the only place I've found that has someone there 24/7. There are videos in each room so if I left my fur babe I could see him. Looking forward to using this for some socialization and grooming. I can't say enough wonderful things about this place! We first went to Barks & Rec to board our dog Toby when we went out of town for a couple days! When we picked him up he was soo exhausted. We then decided to try the day camp where he can spend all day with the other dogs! Toby absolutely loves this place! I think every time he is in the car he thinks he is going there and darts to the car! I would definitely recommend this place if your looking to board your dog for a vacation or just to have your dog play with other dogs! Thanks so much guys!! read more

I've taken my pup here twice, only to get a nail trim and they've done great! We have cut his nails a few times at home but I'm terrified to cut them too short and I was concerned that he'd be anxious when they did his nails but they told me both times he was calm and so sweet! As a dog momma, this made me so happy and relieved! read more

Whitney dId an AMAZING job grooming my Yorkshire terrier, Jedi. I gave her a few details about what I was looking for his cut and forgot to tell her I wanted his ears clipped. I called to pass a message a few minutes after I dropped him off but I misspoke and said shaved. Whitney knew that didn't sound correct and she called me to make sure I knew what I was asking for before she just did what I asked. He looked even better than I was hoping for when I picked him up. She also had him finished in less than 2 hours. His next appointment is already booked! read more

My Dobermans Axel and Aja love everything about Barks & Recreation and so do I. This is by far the best daycare/boarding facility around. It is clean and efficiently run. The staff is knowledgeable and treat my Dobies like their own. They also take amazing photos! I've boarded them for long periods and they go to daycare at least twice a week - and they can't wait! Diane from Barks and Recreation watched my two dogs and cat while I was away on vacation. She came to my home 3x a day for an hour each. EXCELLENT SERVICE! Not only did she send pictures and updates during every visit, I also came home to the trash taken out, mail collected and packages brought inside while away. The prices were extremely reasonable for in home care. Would highly recommend and will be using them again in the future when we go on vacation! read more
