We received a letter 2 yrs later from the IRS, and according to our tax auditor, it appears they had inaccurately lumped our residence in with a block of commercial property lots when cleaning off their books with the IRS, which kicked off a subsequent full-scope audit, based on it looking as though we had a sale of an undisclosed investment property, instead of our primary home sold after two years to fund another primary etc... We had to fight legally with the IRS for over a yr to resolve the issue and cost thousands for just a stupid mistake which 'Presidio' created and was able to wash their hands of and not be engaged or a part of the problem resolution they started because of their incompetence. Do not use this outfit they're sloppy and potentially dangerous fiduciary well-being!

I offered to pay it off so that would be one less thing to worry about. Katie told me no they would send the company a check and pay it off when we closed. Here we are in May and it still has not been paid. I have been receiving late notices and the late charges are starting to add up. Have been calling for over a month now. Called the company to see what was happening and they did not receive the check. Called First American Title and didn't hear anything back from them until today. They sent me a check and now I have to go to the company to get the unit paid off. Horrible company that doesn't communicate with their customers! I do not recommend using them as your title company. The customer service has been horrible. They did not offer to resolve the problem, just told me to pay it off when I received the check. So disappointed in this title company and their lack of customer service for their clients.

She discovered a problem with the title after I had a buyer. She said she would help me clear the title but took several weeks and at the end of that time she still had not got signatures that she was trying to get from the people to clear the title. In those weeks she made three phone calls and two emails. She didn't appear interested at all in trying to help, and told me that if she couldn't get the signatures that were required I should take it to court. I am now working with a lawyer to clear the title and when the house goes back up for sale I certainly will not work with this company again.
