Six corners is my favorite stop when out here for wine. They always have something new to try that's actually good. Service is always friendly and accommodating. They will deliver the same or next day. From Montauk to Manhattan they state but so far just tried locally and had happily surprised friends. A good selection of champagnes from well known and small batch producers. Good Italian and some good local North Fork wines. My favorite is their Sparkling Point for a festive east end toast. read more

Bar none the best place to get wine in the area, with local wine options too. The staff are honest and so are the prices. Some interesting liquor selections as well that other spots just don't get. I go out of my way to come here and always stock up when they have a sale. read more

One of the biggest challenges when buying wine is to find those elusive $20-40 bottles that can compete with others more than two or three times their price. And I don't care what people think, that's not something you can easily achieve with Vivino or online. While they have plenty of rare and expensive bottles--old world and new--they have a fantastic selection of French, Italian, Spanish, German, and South American wines that drink way up in price, not to mention their selection of Champagnes. That includes Burgundies, Bordeauxs, Rosso de Montalcinos, Riojas, Chiantis, Cotes du Rhone and dozens of others. And with 20% off mixed cases, I often go nuts for all of the above. Just give them your price range or food pairing requirements and they'll do the rest. Like I said, you just can't do that with a smartphone App. And if you're like me, you appreciate that old-school knowledge that goes back more than 2,500 years! If you like spirits, no worries, their experts on that as well. Their selection of bourbons (my second favorite after wine), not to mention dozens of scotches and vodkas, is amazing. I'm not as much of a new world drinker, but there are hundreds of outstanding wines, not to mention as many as 50-different California and Oregon Pinots to choose from, some of which even compete with the old. I was pleasantly and surprisingly pleased with a number of Oregon Pinots grown in the sort of "Burgundian" tradition. And with their staff, I can honestly say that every time you go to the store is a learning experience. Somewhat frequently (especially if you're purchasing volume) the proprietor will pop open a $40-50 bottle of wine or champagne for an on-the-spot tasting. I tried an estate grown and produced bottle of rose champagne called Guy Larmandier Champagne I had never heard of, that was a ridiculous value at something like $45 a bottle. As I understand, because of the owners 20+ year relationships with European producers, those are the type of deals you can find (and impress your friends with, if you're so inclined). Between the ambiance, the staff, the music, and the value, it's impossible to go wrong. I also try to encourage people to support this 2500 year old business instead of undermining it by supporting huge distributors where there is zero ambiance or knowledge. Even if you're a $10-12 bottle kind of person there's plenty to choose from. read more
