I had a decent first experience at this Six Flags water park as far as their attractions go. Easy and quick entry at front gate. Nearly every seat was taken and we managed to find one spot semi-covered with sun (which is a score in this scenario). As you would expect, lines can be long and painstaking, and took 15-40 minutes each. Pools were about as good as they could be for a place this size, and not terribly foggy. Attractions- Again all rides had lines that were at least 15 minutes. We liked the lazy river, but nearly impossible to get a tube so we floated around on the lifejackets. My personal favorites were Twister Typhoon and Pipeline Wave which both had pretty long lines. Nearly half of the rides were shut down when we were there so we did what we could. The Wahoo Racers were also fun and the lifeguard working it was having fun as well. We also did the Banzai Pipeline not knowing it was for kids, but went super fast down it. Other than lines we had fun on most of the rides. Staffing- When first entering, the lady scanning my tickets gave me a dirty look and did not say a single word to me or gave me the okay when they went through successfully. Some of the lifeguards were talking behind some of the customers backs about the line for the Typhoon Twister and Pipeline Wave about how they were being stupid about it. Many of the workers did not want to be there which is understandable. I was once a lifeguard and the hours are long and stressful, but talking about customers in front of other customers can leave them with a sour taste. Also half of the rides were closed, not sure if that is for maintaining or staffing issues. Pricing- We got 2 single day tickets for $38 each, coming out to $98!!!! After tax and $12 "processing fee", we almost didn't go. Don't forget about the extra $20 for parking! If we lived closer I would consider getting a summer pass at that price. As for food, we read reviews that someone paid $15 for a cold hot dog so we got food before and brought water. Locker rentals were also $15+. Park suggestions- As many others have mentioned - maybe this park could invest in some turf pads or something cooler than concrete while either walking around or waiting in line. Many people, including us, took our shoes to whatever we were doing and leaving them at the entrance. Another suggestion would be to widen the stairs or separate the lines for some of the rides, especially Typhoon Twister and Pipeline Wave. Last thing is to hire more lifeguards and/or pay for training because it is a disappointment to see all of the slides and not be able to go down them.

Looked over the reviews and I still decided Togo TRUST ME your voice was heard! Everything was just right! Slides where open, plenty of staff, clean water, lifeguards alert, full menu available, every food station open, Adult beverages available and security very present! The only thing I didn't like was the Karen at the gate when we tried to renter... she told my bf he couldn't come in because his stamp looked old because it smeared WE ARE WET WHAT DO YOU EXPECT MAAM and it was day one of the seasonal

Fair warning, I haven't been here in YEARS. But since yesterday was 110 degrees, we decided to go to a water park since it was going to be blazing hot. They had a promo online for buy 2 tickets get the 3rd free! So of course we took advantage of it. We got there pretty early, like 11:10AM and lines were moving! So we got in fast. We got a locker, which didn't work and we had to tell a worker to get us another one, so be aware of that. And then tried to find a chair to leave our shoes and towels. Most of the shaded areas were already taken and the seats under a cabana were "reserved seating." We got lucky and chose a chair by the lifejackets where you can enter to the lazy river. The lazy river was nice, seems like they had some inflatables floating around. It was 4 feet so it wasn't too deep. I did wish it was wider because depending on how the inflatable is, it can almost take up the whole space leaving people trapped behind you. The wave pool was fun! Went up to 9 feet before they blocked it off. I highly recommend a life jacket to help keep y'all floating in the middle! In the middle of the 9 ft area was where it was pretty empty. Everyone hangs near the walls. Honestly once the waves start, I feel like the walls are more rough because they get slapped by water and slap it back on ya. The rides were fun too. There is a WEIGHT LIMIT THOUGH!! 250 POUNDS FOR A SINGLE RIDER OR 400 POUNDS FOR 2 RIDERS. SO PLEASE KEEP THAT IN MIND BECAUSE MY PLUS SIZE SELF BARELY MADE IT. Here are my recommendations if you're planning to go. Bring water shoes because this park has no shade. Straight up frying your feet when you're walking around. I felt the blisters forming on my feet later in the day. Bring sunglasses or a hat! It's so freaking bright that it hurts to open your eyes. Lastly, if you know you're going to buy food there go buy their refillable cups first thing so you can drink it all day. Here are some ideas I wish the park can change. Some fake grass or something to help their customers walk around without frying their feet. Y'all already ain't got no shade, so we all burning. Fix all the soda machines! We bought a cup from a station yesterday and they told us their soda machine was empty! So we had to stand in line somewhere else just to fill it up! Overall, I'm comparing this water park to some that I have been to in the past. It's obviously not the best place I've been to because other places had a bunch of trees, giving shade. Other places were so much bigger and not just off the freeway! But honestly I didn't have much complaints from this place. I've just been to better, which is why I give it 3/5 stars! Wave pool worked and the water felt great.

29.99...but wait next click it changes to 34.99
    David N.

So first the cost... Online starting at 29.99 Click on it and now it is 34.99 Cluck it and buy it is now 39.99 +online fee and tax so 50.00 This is a blatant lie and false advertising. They nickle and dime you at 20... Parking 20.99 for a drink. You want shade and a place to sit.. 199.99 Insane rip you every chance possible. You get one star as it has to have one to review.

The day cups, and if you take off the paper they put on you have to pay! But they don't tell you that.

For the price isn't worth it. They provide ice water free in stations, eat before you come and wear water shoes they haven't updated bottom of river it's ruff, but we are a tall family so walking and standing is normal but knelling isn't.bring water shoes and eat before you come!!!!

There was a fingernail left on the bathroom counter from the previous guests which is absolutely disgusting. I left it there in hopes it would be cleaned when they came in my room. Not only was it not cleaned up, a dirty rag was left in our room after they came to "clean". The AC worked wonderfully and the beds were comfy. The bathroom was nice, but the floors seemed like they haven't been mopped between guests. I love the amount of towels provided. Our dining experience at Smokehouse Social was a disaster. We ordered a rack of ribs, sides, and an appetizer. We tried to order a brisket sandwich but our waitress told us they were out for the evening. We asked 30 mins later again, and received the same answer. The food came out at a reasonable time. The appetizer and sides were delicious. The ribs were burnt and dry. Then to our surprise, two other customers outside on the patio received brisket sandwiches. We talked with our waitress about the ribs and they were replaced with ribs that were pink, undercooked, and flavorless. We spoke to another waitress that her table was able to order brisket and the had an attitude from the start of the conversation. She then proceeded to humiliate a family member saying loudly "I don't appreciate the hostility" disrupting everyone's dinner out of the patio. I intervened asking her to be professional at work. My family member made a joke and the entire patio returned to enjoying their dinner with their families after an awkward, tense situation was created by the other waitress. Our waitress Bryleigh was an angel! So sweet and patient. I reported all of this to the manager on duty. He claims the other waitress will be talked to, but who knows! We were shocked at her behavior and so disappointed in this pricey unsatisfactory experience. The pools, the slides, and the indoor water park were very fun. The hours are strange, but no complaints here. The elevators were slow. I think the technology there was super cool. However, they should consider displaying what elevator is coming for what floor for more than 3 seconds. Every time I walked up to the elevator people had the same conversation about "I already pressed it" with their family/spouses. Well you wouldn't know by the speed of the elevator or by looking at the keypad. The food was good. Pricey, but good. We ate at Chidos twice because the tacos and chips/dips were so good. At 10am a woman knocked on the door saying it was housekeeping and she wanted to clean the room. She had no cleaning supplies and was passive aggressively trying to let us know we needed to be out at 11am. She was trying to see if we left yet so they could start cleaning, I get that. Then at 11:04 she knocked on the door again and I said my husband is getting the car and bringing me a cart. You can see the room is all packed. We are leaving. She passive aggressively points at her phone and shows me the time of 11:04. I put my things in the hall so she could get the point. The passive aggression comes from the smiles, happy tone of voice, and the dozen I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry, but it's obvious she's trying to rush us out. I get the rooms need to be turned over asap, but as dirty as our bathroom was, you wouldn't think they'd have such urgency to clean the rooms. Worth noting, I did not pay for this room, my church did. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it as much if I had invested myself. I did enjoy the attractions and most of the interactions with staff. It's a cool place with so much potential. I hope they iron out these issues!

Cannot say enough good things about Shawnee Splash Water Park, it made MY WHOLE SUMMER SPECIAL My…read moreson left for California and I was sad and then I bought the senior pass to Shawnee Splash Water Park and had the time of my life. The pools are so beautiful and clean and the water is so refreshing during hot summer days. So much fun to come The pool is run by Sue Ellen with her assistant Crystal and top lifeguard David And I can't say enough good things about these folks. Sue Ellen is an excellent leader and Crystal and David have commanding positions under her and always act so kind and humble. Their joie de vivre resonates to all the lifeguards there, who always do their job safeguarding children and elderly and every age between but with a sense of joy and happiness that makes every patron feel happy and special. IT's soooo much fun to go. There's beautiful music playing but not too loud. Adds to the joy of the blue water and the sound of splashing water. Just H E A V E N. I"m a senior and I got the senior pass and I highly recommend getting a season pass. And making a regular stop, at least 5 times a week and swimming for 30 minutes I don't stay the whole day, I get my exercise and I go. And I feel refreshed and invigorated and happy and I sleep like a baby after swimming at Shawnee Pool. The lifeguards are all super attractive and nice and friendly, and the walk around in matching red swimsuits and it just adds to the festive air of the pool. So many people are having a blast going down the slide or climbing the AquaSlides, I love the top pool which is deep and has a nice breeze and it's fun to watch folks jumping off the diving boards from there. The bottom pool is awesome too and I love to swim in it, and there's folks playing basketball there and having fun. And then there's kiddie pools, even a kiddie wave pool. And the kiddies are all happy. It's just a VERY VERY VERY happy place to go and enjoy summer and COOL OFF! I love it and you will too! Thank you Shawnee Splash Pool! Every lifeguard there is special. DAVID is the managing LIFEGUARD and just friggin' awesome. Strong and supervisory all while keeping a humble kind attitude and always being there for his STAFF. Like ALWAYS being there. Terra is super supervising lifeguard, and shows signs of moving up the fast track, she follows the rules and makes sure patrons do. Great gal. RAIN in the snackshack is just an ANGEL, she looks like an angel and acts like one. Landon let me know she worked more hours than anyone this summer. She is sooo pretty and a light shines from in her, reminds me of a beautiful 60s flower child. Hadley and Maddie, I believe, are great guards, so pretty and have the whitest teeth. They are best friends. Supervising guards Landon, Lyle and Garrett all assist Terra and DAVID, the HEAD LIFEGUARD. John and MaryBeth are adorable guards too. I can't remember all the names but there wasn't one lifeguard there that didn't do a GREAT JOB and add a special flair to each patron's summer. Such a joy to see all those beautiful young people working together and bringing happiness to all of Pottawatomie County. Thank you all! AND ESPECIALLY THANK YOU TO SUE ELLEN, who brought this all together, hired the nicest, best people and makes a Disneyland style pool look effortless and brings all this joy to Pottawatomie County! And HUGE thanks to CRYSTAL and DAVID for being RIGHT THERE assisting her! David, you are just too friggin' adorable. Whoever marries this man will have a good life! Heaven is RIGHT HERE IN SHAWNEE! One sad thing, I am already going into SHAWNEE POOL withdrawal as it closes soon until next MAY! I will be be buying a pass PRESEASON! LOVE YOU ALL. GOD BE WITH ALL OF YOU WHO WORKED AT SHAWNEE POOL this summer and hope to see you ALL next summer. God be with you, you are all VERY special. 10 STARS
