The concession stand staff had a complete attitude from the moment I approached them. I ordered a corn dog and when I received it, it was completely ice cold. I brought it back and explained the issue, only to be met with looks and attitudes as if I was making it up. They took the corn dog from me and put it in the microwave to heat it up. I'm sorry, but who would have thought that a $3 corn dog was being cooked in a microwave instead of being properly fried? What a waste of money. I went back later to get some ice cream and, once again, had to deal with the same kind of attitude. When I went to pay, the employee looked at me and told me they were out of quarters. Seriously? How does a concession stand run out of quarters? The food quality and customer service were both extremely disappointing. I understand that everyone has bad days, but customers should not have to deal with rude attitudes simply because they are asking for the food they paid for to be served properly. read more

We had a birthday party booked for tonight 7/17 in celebration for our son's birthdays. We encountered the most disrespectful experience we have ever had with a birthday rental company. Marina Wells the lady that runs the place had no consideration to call me herself and tell me that the rental was going to be cancelled she had a teenage girl do it. Even though it rained a bit in the AM it was sunny and blue skies outside and there was no more inclement weather happening for the rest of the night. We had even called at near 4:30PM to check and make sure the guy reassured my husband we were good to go. This was a joint birthday party for my two sons with 18 other kids in attendance with pizzas ordered, cupcakes ordered/picked up, and balloon bouquets ordered/picked up and all for what NOTHING. We will never return to your establishment. When the girl called earlier to cancel the party, We had requested a phone call from Marina and still have not received that phone call. No decency, no respect and no sorry. That is blatant disrespect, and it is no regard for anyone else. We let all the parents of our 18 attendees know of the communication with Pelican Bay and the way this establishment handles business. If your looking to book a party steer clear of this place its a joke. I took pictures of what they call inclement weather. I made sure to take one with another phone so you can see date and time. Went here for a church function. The kids enjoyed it, and it was free. But If I'm blunt, this place is anti climactic. The Mitch park ymca swimming area is better than this place. Also given the fact that the place has a leak an will be shut down this fall for repairs. They did a good job of having it well staffed with life guards, as a parent of 3 kids a good chunk of them were messing around and not paying attention to the swimming area. It's an ok place to be honest, you're better off at the frontier city water park, and white water park. read more

Okay so the pool/park part isn't bad for the value. It was packed when we went and there was seating only in the pavilion (which we didn't know had to be reserved). Once a birthday party started setting up there we realized it and we found some chairs to swoop up. They have a decent area for the little ones. The lazy river was so small though and is basically just a herd of people all bumping into and pushing each other in the same direction. The adult / deep end was awesome and less busy although you would get the occasional kid blocking the ladder. We brought our own waters and didn't visit the snack area. On the way out I wanted to change out of my swimsuit and put some dry clothes on so I entered the ladies restroom. Oh my gawd y'all...I'm still recovering from the sheer horror I faced in there. The floor was covered in -what I initially thought was water....nope...sewage!! And feces on the floor!!! The other side was not even better. I immediately ran out of there. The worst part was watching all the kids and babies walk in there with no shoes. So based upon the fact that I would not want my babies using the restroom there we will likely not ever return. read more

Beautiful little water park with EXCELLENT employees! Life guards are super friendly & helpful! The goal is for everyone to enjoy the facility! Kids are safe in the shallow area with a small water slide & splash pad area. The bigger slide is so fun! The rock wall is challenging & adds to the entertainment in this hidden gem paradise pool! Not too crowded. Mixed ages from 0 to 100 can enjoy the lazy river stream. We highly recommend Pelican Bay for a day of cool wet clean fun! There's also a snack bar with a nice variety of yummy snacks! Dressing/bathroom areas huge & handicap accessible! I'm physically challenged & always let lifeguards know. They were so very sweet & happily made sure I enjoyed my day! We absolutely love this place! Everytime we go to Edmond this summer, we're going to Pelican Bay! Our kids are still too afraid of the big slides at water parks, but like the smaller scale slides, so this was perfect for us (and much cheaper)! We just went for an afternoon, and all of the kiddos enjoyed it. They have typical concession stand food and snow cones as well. We will likely be back next time we're in the area! read more

Pelican Bay is a fun small water park to go to for a day. It's super affordable at only $6 a person. There are a ton of options for entertainment for the kids. My kids who are 9, 7 & 5 all had a blast. The park includes a small lazy river, whirpool, small toddler play area with zero entry, splash pad, larger deep pool, rock climbing wall, diving boards and some extra big slides. My kids were entertained for hours. There are life guards on duty and they do take a 10 or 15 minute break every hour so everyone has to get out of the pool. Not super convenient but it gave me a chance to make my kids drink some water and re apply sunscreen if needed. The facilities are older and could probably be cleaned better but it was fine, I didn't feel like it was super dirty or unkempt. I'm guessing because of covid the concession stand is running a super limited offering and you can only pay with card. I highly recommend bringing snacks, drinks, lunch. Which you are allowed to do. We will probably go several times throughout the summer because it's a great escape from just a normal neighborhood pool and it's totally affordable. read more

This is a great place to take the kids to swim. They have several fun play areas for small kids, a climbing wall, 2 slides and a small lazy river area. There are many lifeguards, one for each different area of the pool. Outside snacks are not allowed in. There is a cafe there that reminds me of the concession stand at a high school Sporting event. There are options to eat and the food is reasonably priced. What was missing was a clean place to change my baby's diaper and get him dressed. We've come past summers and loved it. Honestly. But with covid they had regulation changes, understandably. No where online does it say though, with the cafe open, that they are not serving food. You can get drinks and like ice cream. That's it. But you still cannot bring outside food. This is a place for families, you should at least say this online. My 3 y/o loves this place! It's $7 for adults and $5 for kiddos. Great place to cool off for little and big kids alike. My preschooler loves the playground and and the lazy river. There are ample supply of life jackets for free. Ya they are a little strict with their rules about outside food/drink, wearing life jackets, etc. but cmon what do you expect from a small water park in the middle of Edmond!? It's so dang convenient! There's no massive crowds to fight. Plenty of chairs available. There are lots of lifeguards on duty. I sure wish the splash pad was working... I wonder if it's ever worked? Locker rooms leave much to be desired. We spent a super fun afternoon here and I'm sure we'll come back. read more

Went here today for the first time ever for a birthday party. Upon arriving we walked into the cabana which my friend paid over 200.00 to rent for a 1 hour party. The floor was disgusting with sticky liquid on it and trash everywhere. It also had 3 other families that stayed in it for the first 30 minutes of the party. It took 25 minutes to get the drinks and very burnt pizza out to us. Unlike what the website said about getting ice cream with the party they brought out popsicles. To which even the kids said dont go with cake. We have never been there before and I told them at the front that my young son could not swim and they put a bracelet on him. Me thinking it was for the party let them. Not knowing it was for him to go on the big slide. He goes up it and they REMOVE HIS LIFE VEST... My son then told them that he could not swim and they still sent him down the slide.... We spoke to a manager. She said she has no power there and cannot return any money for the party and for us to speak to the general manager. After waiting 45 minutes for her to finally show up she comes and and says its ran by teenagers what did you expect. And she refused to make anything right. Never going back! read more

The line system is screwed up, the customer that just bought something waits there until their food is ready (ex. A whole family ordering holds the line up for at least 5 minutes). This was a fun pool. My son (he is 10) loved it and enjoyed the slides. The lazy river was tiny compared to other pools I have been to but the large public area for swimming was larger than many others. Honestly, I would have to put this above Norman's pool but below the one we used to go to in Midland, Texas. It was nice ... nothing special, but it wasn't super busy and we had a good time, so what more can we ask? The bathrooms and changing room was kind of run down and probably could be improved upon. read more

Why do I keep coming back you ask? Well, it's close and my kids need an outlet plus We love the staff (the star I gave was for them). This summer we've traveled to a couple of city pools and noticed the differences. As a family we like pelican bay because it's close, that being said, it's pretty run down. Considering Edmond has so many white collar patrons, I would expect that they would take better care of their public places. Everyone complains about the food and drink rules but I get it. If you bring in your own cup, they will fill it with ice and water. We pack a pick nick and eat during the breaks. Oh the breaks are somewhat unnecessary- we know this because out at Paul's Valley pool, they never do these. I would give Pelican Bay 5 stars if they would make repairs to the kids area (where the actual pelican is) and upgrade the restrooms (which are disgusting). read more

The front gate was grossly understaffed long line getting in then my four year old daughter was able to walk out unnoticed with a big blue life jacket on provided by the facility. After all this drama the cops being called and management being involved as I was leaving I asked my daughter to walk out the front gate again with the life jacket on and she did the same thing Unnoticed while I video tapped it so obviously the problem was not corrected I would not recommend coming here if you're concerned about your children safety read more

The owner/management are rip offs. Check in people were rude. The splash pad hasn't worked in more than 2 years. Only 1 window at the concession so it makes a long line. You can't wear a life vest in the whirlpool so my kids couldn't enjoy it. The kids slide area is broken so it's gushing water out and it blinds and scares the kids. What a waste of a day. There was a RUDE lady working the concession stand that was yelling for the line to go a certain way instead of saying can you please move the line this way. If they are so picky on where the line should be, then they should post a sign on where to line up. Also the big dinosaur that the kids used to climb on isn't there anymore, the splash pad area wasn't on, there isn't near enough chairs for guests. The pool was cloudy and dirty. Overall, a good deal for the price. I wish the splash pad would have been working as it would have been nice for my 6 month old. My almost 3 year old loved the small slides/play structure and sitting on the large sea monster. He was too small to ride the large slides (must be 48"), but they looked fun for the older ones. This place is a rip off. My family and I visited Pelican Bay , Saturday the 27th, 2017 for 1 hour. There was a storm coming ( understand) clearly there's a protocol in a situation like this. However, they asked that we all vacate the pool.. ( fair enough ) everyone there had to wait for an hour to see wheather ot not we will have rain, lighting, tornado etc.. in the process of all this we talked to the cashiers asking them what can we do since we were only there for an hour? 54 mins to be exact.. they were not going to open up unless, we waited out for an hour to see if the pool will open. They stated we can get a raincheck "but' it has to be approved first... Young kids working the front, so we asked to see a manager. Young lady explains... you show your receipt and they will give a raincheck because we wasn't there long... As we reached for our receipt, the young lady stated she will still have to get a ok from the head person, or we can wait 35 more minutes to see if their going to open the pool. Keep in mind it was burning hot.. & we never did receive a raincheck, nor did the head person that was over this talk to us regarding this matter. Total rip off. I understand we all have protocol but what they fail to realize.... It is your customers that keeps you in business..and to rip folks off spending money for our family to enjoy a good time is very sad. Granted had we been there 2 or 3 hours COOL this review would have never been posted. They would have received 5 stars. They won't be in business long trust me. read more
