We stopped in for our first try of the six Penny Jug. I can't say enough about how cute this place is. It has indoor and outdoor seating and is freshly decorated. It's definitely a pub feel with great mood lighting and really delicious food. We decided to get some fried pickles some fried shrimp some wings and burgers. Everything was fantastic and the food was plentiful and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and even though the place got a little busy the service never lacked attention at our table. The beers were cold and the food was hot what more could you ask for. It's just redone so it's very clean and very nice I would definitely recommend this to anyone check out the pictures you can see how crunchy and delicious the food was

Cowboy burger, meant to be 2 smash patties but didn't even come close. Two crumbly burger patties with a handful of fries

Truly one of the worst food experiences I've had! It motivated me to make this account because other reviews say the owner likes to delete them. Ordered 3 things, a swiss mushroom burger, a cowboy burger, and an order of cheese curds. The bread on the swiss mushroom burger tasted like cleaning chemicals! Got a dozen or so fries on the side. Of each burger. The Bbq "smash" burger was just two regular patties, that were slightly squished and crumbly, the bun was stale. I'd definitely avoid it. Cheese curds that were so salty, the breading tasted like jarred garlic, and it came with what tasted like canned pasta sauce that they tried to pass as "marinara". Me nor my friend barely touched the food, not worth the $50 that went down the drain today. I would never go back

This is a must stop when in Norridgewock, ME! A friend had drove by and said it looked like a cute little place and was always busy so instead of fair food we decided to give it a try. Cute was right, I loved the cozy vibes inside with the lighting and bar space. While there isn't a whole lot of space there is plenty of room inside or outside to dine, drink and enjoy! I loved the variety of food choices beers and unique specials and homemade sauces! While I didn't order anything fancy the tater tots were the best I've ever had and the jug sauce was delish! Highly recommend! We will be back! Also for those who ride sxs or four wheelers this is right next to the trail system!

Great ambiance and very friendly staff! A clean, lovely little pub inside. Definitely expect it to be a bit loud, even on a Wednesday night - seems to have a fun group of regulars, and typical for a good pub to be a bit more boisterous. It was an extra cold day today and unfortunately while the back half of the pub was toasty, the front half was extremely cold. The food was served piping hot, so stayed reasonably warm in spite of how cold it was (had a sweater & had to keep my winter coat on) but if you come prepared for this possibility, perhaps with a few more comfortable layers besides a coat - the food & friendly service is worth it! I ordered each of their specials (altho the soup to go, will have to update my review tomorrow night, after I enjoy that for dinner) the Raspberry Habanero Wings were delicious. Very raspberry (sweet raspberry jam) forward flavor vs. pepper forward, but it had a pleasant kick. Not actual habanero level spice, but enough of a kick to tickle the tastebuds. I'd go a bit more savory/pepper side vs. the heavy sweet raspberry end of the scale - but still very, very yummy - 8/10, would order again. The "Tommy Touchdown" sandwich - Parmesan crusted chicken cutlet, roasted garlic aïoli, fire roasted red peppers, sautéed spinach, and melted mozzarella on top of a toasted French roll. Served with fries - was also VERY yummy! And HUGE!! 9/10 and the fries were crispy and perfectly salted. Very pleased overall, will be back!

The tables appeared to be cleaned with a gentle mist of wishful thinking, and I'm fairly certain the dust on the windows qualified for historical landmark status. As for management, I've seen more organization in a flock of startled pigeons. Every problem was met with the same expression: a blank stare that suggested they were hearing about the concept of customer service for the first time. The owners must be running a revolutionary new business model where profits are protected at all costs, including basic maintenance and paying employees enough to pretend they're happy to be there. The staff looked exhausted, underappreciated, and one server blinked "help me" in Morse code. Learning they've fired a server over a hearsay review confirmed my suspicions and compelled me to share my own experience in this unworthy establishment. The food arrived eventually. I'm assuming it took a long journey and stopped to see relatives along the way. On the bright side, I saved money on entertainment because the entire experience was a live-action comedy. Would not recommend unless you're conducting research on what happens when nobody is in charge.

The only thing holding me back is the crazy wait time on a not so busy Sunday, for the food to be served. Like over an hour wait time for a sandwich and fried fish special. But I digress...on to the good! The fried fish was outstanding! There was a very large amount of flaky fresh haddock that had the perfect coating and was not greasy at all. I would say - some of the best I've had! I opted for the side salad instead of the fries. I'll not make that mistake again. Don't get me wrong, the salad was fresh and very nice...but those fries that came with the Reuben were excellent! I'm not sure, maybe hand cut? They had a great seasoning on them and were so crispy with a soft center. If they are from frozen- I want the company name to figure out where to get some for myself! My husband enjoyed his Reuben as well. Oh, and bonus was that they had my favorite hard cider - freedom's edge, sweet mulled, as well WHICH they served in a chilled glass. Love it! We will definitely be back, but not when we're super hungry or in a hurry to get either upta camp or home. I get things run slower in that neck of the woods, but moving things along in the kitchen a little faster would do wonders for those passing through!
