When I first walked in, it was about 5 seconds (tops) before Jonathan said hello and asked if I needed help. Although this was my first time here and I wanted to explore, I was picking up something for work so no time to lollygag. So I rambled off the two items I needed, gave him the two SKUs that Brian had given me over the phone, and voila. Easy peasy. I guess I should've mentioned that I called on the phone to check stock on the items I wanted. Brian answered. He physically checked the shelves because the numbers in the system showed quantities really close to the amount I needed. He wanted to put eyes on the product in case any had sold since system updated. He confirmed everything was in stock, but said he was leaving in less than 10 mins. That's how I got to deal with Jonathan in person. As I got rung up at the counter, Drew (he was at the neighboring cash register) asked about one of my co-workers. Aww, isn't it great when workers remember their customers? All in all, great customer service from Brian & Jonathan. Bonus for Drew remembering my co-worker. Store is clean and well-stocked. Although their online inventory shows certain items as "in stock", I would call the store if the quantities are pretty close to what you need. read more

Dallas, in the cabinets portion of the business was outstanding. Originally went to big box store! That was a mistake. Spoke with him on the phone and we were able to complete our order. He worked to expedite the order. Manufacture had delays but Dallas jumped in and made arrangements to get us our order as soon as it arrived. If you need a specialty item, or an expert to assist with a project or be able to give advice, Ace is the place! Yes prices may be higher than the big box guys, but nobody can tell me they provide service anywhere near the quality Ace does. We went into Six Points hoping to replace two tiny but instrumental screws on my daily driver a small motor electric scooter. Ed and his colleague (Ed wouldn't share your name the devil) went above and beyond to make sure we got the right part and had it installed safely before we drove out the door. The whole time they assisted us they never made us feel bad or as if it was our problem and we were in their way. I truly felt like we were all a team trying to arrive at a solution. If you have a hardware need, don't hesitate to walk in and find Ed or any other employee and they will make sure you get the job done! This is the ACE I use for work. I need to purchase a great variety of supplies, sometimes I don't even know what exactly it is that I need. The folks at this ACE are pros. They've been here for a long time and they know their business. They are always able to direct me to what I need when I describe my projects. In addition to being incredibly knowledgeable, they are extremely helpful. They are accommodating with all of my questions, and I have a lot of questions. They've got a fantastic nuts, bolts and screws department. Anything and everything in any size you need is here. And they can advise what is best for your project. You can purchase the exact number needed and not have to purchase a pre-packaged box of too many. It's a smaller ACE in an awkward location. But they know their stuff and they've got it stocked wisely. Wish I had a bigger budget every time I go in. read more

The people at this hardware store are WONDERFUL! Keith, the manager, was so very helpful to me and my mother on our first visit, when we had no idea what we needed, and he so kindly and patiently talked us through each of our options. We had some issues with a paint purchase and he, as well as well as Julie, went above and beyond in making sure everything worked out to fit our needs and to our benefit. Six points cabinets/hardware Promises made and promises kept. Well, not so much the kept part! Promises made: Six Points is to work with you to design your dream kitchen. Order and receive the cabinetry then confirm that the order is undamaged and correct before delivery to the customer. Supply you with a detailed drawing. Sent your info out to several installers that will be contacting you eager to provide their services and all you have to do is just pick the bid/one you like best. Promises kept... Left blank intentionally! What actually happen: We asked for a spice rack and on the other side of the kitchen a Lazy Susan. David Kalmick of Six Points decided since we wanted the Lazy Susan we no longer needed the spice rack, so he didn't order it. We asked for a cabinet to face backwards designed to utilized what would be dead space located under a 10" countertop overhang, a cabinet with what would be a useless drawer was delivered. As far as the eager installers none of which contacted us so I got a hold of David he give me the names of only two installers one was booked for the next two months and the other one, I'm still waiting for his bid. We had to find our own. Regarding the wrong cabinet, it wasn't discovered until after my old kitchen was tore out so we had to put the countertop installation on hold and wait until David re-ordered the correct one. Living without a working kitchen for over a month is real inconvenient! The drawing he supplied was so poorly written/incomplete the installer I hire could not make sense of it so mistakes were made. What David did order that we did not want or need were three planks of 3" crown molding that would never fit our project two complete refrigerator enclosures, we only have one refrigerator and also way to much kick paneling. He said don't worry you didn't pay for the extra items but he didn't supply us with and is ignoring my repeated request for an itemized part list. Originally I asked David to keep it in the same footprint of the old cabinets not wanting to cut floor tile in order to keep down expense, he agreed. We didn't find out until the cabinets were installed that was impossible unless you are okay with draws hitting things. David would say "your installer should know that" he's was just trying to follow your drawing. The cabinetries he sold us are okay if you like a lot of particle board and plywood for premium prices with a horrible fit and finish. Update: I asked David to pick up the extra/wrong material and leave a check for their value and maybe something for our inconvenience and added expense due to his mistakes. David said he would pick up the extra parts but no check and he still has not provided a itemized part list. Business will make mistakes but owning up to them is what separates good ones from the bad. David claims that the cabinet manufacturer were the ones that made the mistakes! I didn't order from the manufacturer I ordered from Six Points and Six Points was the ones that were to confirm that were correct and they are the ones that did delivered the order to my home. read more

Horrible company. David should not be working for this place. He sent out 93" tall cabinets for a 99" soffit height with 3 1/2" crown molding. Called him on this and he made the excuse that we needed Crown stop material. So now the 1 day install turns to 2. No problem it's in my contract for the 2nd day in case of problems. We tell him there is a 6" bust and he only sends out 3" material. If you install the 3" crown stop and then the crown there is nothing to mail the crown to. It still falls into the opening. Minimum of 4" material was needed and we told David that but he sends out 3". We were supplied with no drawings except what I had on my phone with only the room width and a height number of 108". The soffit was 99" and the ceiling height was 120" so what that 108" mark was we have no clue. He won't admit to his mistakes and when you try to talk to him he constantly cuts you off. The homeowner called me 2 days prior to the install asking if I was aware of the changes that were made, after my initial bid was accepted to which I wasn't aware, so I called Six Point and they said oh ya sorry we forgot to tell you. Homeowner had the 24" deep island cabinets cut down to 12" and now the deco panels won't fit. Just a very poor company and David shouldn't be in charge of layouts or field measure. Been in the install business for 35 years and this is the worst I've seen. read more

My better half drags me to hardware stores occasionally and they usually end up in 45 minutes wild goose chases that leave me cranky. Not here!! The staff here is so helpful they make it easy for us to get in, get out, and get started with our project. They greet you at the door and will walk you to the product that you are looking for. This is especially helpful when I am sent to the hardware by myself (eek!) with a description on what to tell the staff I am looking for. The prices are more expensive than your big box home improvement store, but I will eat the cost for an amazingly friendly staff and a smaller store that I won't get lost in. A note about the name: I'm not sure why it is called Six Points, but the sign out front says Ace - the Ace Hardware website it was listed as Six Points also? Hmm... read more
