They are awesome! I can't believe how quickly they installed the panels! Liz, Dan and Wes are the bomb!! (And the crew is too!) Right from the start they were professional and very attentive. They designed our system exactly what we wanted and needed. We will be going through Six Rivers Solar again when we do a heat pump system and also replace the lead acid batteries in our water system (fe lithium), and any other upgrading to the system. Here's the breakdown: Design: The system design took into account our amount of usage and was sized accordingly. With 30 panels (11.1 KW total Solar Power.) The inverter was originally spec'd at 12KW but because of our requirements it was upgraded to 15KW. The Battery pack is a modular 4 pack (expandable to 6) at 19.2 KW total power. 5 out of 5 rating. Workmanship: The installation was fast and efficient with the panels going up on the first day. The Main panel upgrade took another day (they had to trench to access the shop where the inverter/battery is located) and the system was put into operation on the third day. All of the cabling/conduit runs are neat and well routed. All in all the workmanship rate 5 out of 5. Communication: All throughout the design and installation we were kept in the loop on all aspects. This includes all correspondence with P, G&E and the building department. The Solar consultant and the installation contractor (Abundance Builders) were very attentive and used several methods for communication (phone, email, site visits) 5 out of 5 rating. Customer Support: Unlike many of the Solar companies Six Rivers Solar is a local brick and mortar business that has been around since the early 80's and is very well established. We had one issue and they solved it with one call (they can do remote access to the system for monitoring and adjustments.) 5 out of 5 rating. Cost/Value: The system was not the lowest cost from the other quotes we got (we had a number of companies that did not respond to our request for quotes) however, I favor utilizing local established businesses over out of area or small garage businesses (here today, gone tomorrow.) All of the equipment installed is high quality and made in the U.S. A. and not China! The cost was a little above the median for a system of this size. We were given several discounts which definitely swayed us to go with Six Rivers Solar. 5 out of 5 rating. Overall: Six Rivers Solar treated us very well and the staff is friendly and helpful from design to final installation and hookup. I would not hesitate to go with them in future. We were spending $500 a month on our PG&E bills despite a medical discount. We're just two retirees, but there it was every month and $400 of it was for electricity charges. We had Six Rivers Solar come out to give us an idea of what we could do to save money. They recommended the Sunny Boy system, sixteen panels to be installed on a new metal roof. They thought sixteen could at least get rid of the higher cost peak period charges. We just had our one year true up with PG&E and it turns out between extra power pushed back to PG&E and what we used, we only had to pay less than $5 for the year for electricity! We saved $400 a month every month. At this rate, our solar system will pay for itself in just three years and four months. There were a couple times when the power was out and during the day, we still had enough to keep our fridge going. Also, whenever we ran into any disruption of service due to internet problems or power outages, SRS was over in a day or so to set things right, excellent service after sale. Don't know how much you're spending on your power bills, but if you're getting big bills for electricity, this is a really good idea. We're only sorry we didn't do it about ten years earlier. I had considered a solar installation on my house for 15 years and never pulled the trigger. We had pursued efficiency and our electrical use made it hard to justify on a payback basis. Our household now owns two electric vehicles and I wanted to generate enough electricity supply to fuel our driving and household need. Miguel and Megan made permitting, adjusting service plan with PGE, and installation very easy. I am a fan of projects that are executed efficiently, over one day if possible, and Six Rivers delivered. Wes Hodges was the installer and he and his crew are unsurpassed. Wes was very thorough in his estimation of costs, which were netted from total cost quote given by Six Rivers. I installed Pika system with battery and am thoroughly impressed with the form and function of the product. I now self supply my energy needs and have backup power if power goes out on my property. PGE is now my backup electric supply. My greatest learning is to size generation as large as possible, especially if installing battery system. Yes, 6 RIVERS does contract out the work. However, they only have a few contractors they use, all of whom know what they are doing. I don't know what all the negative hype is about. We had a great experience with 6 rivers, referred some friends, and now one of them is getting solar installed through them as well. We got the system we paid for. We are reaping the benefits of feeding the grid, even when it's cloudy. I was an investment worth making and worth every penny. After researching several companies, this is the one we went with and never had an issue from day one. I work for school and we are partnered with a solar company out of SF right now in a "buy-back" situation and the experience with them has been horrible. Nowhere near the experience, I had with 6 rivers. I also want to add I am a customer, not an employee. Nobody paid me to leave a review, and based on my experience, I would recommend them. We are currently still grid-tied and are looking into battery options as well due to the PSPS events. read more

Extremely knowledgeable and responsive team, from Miguel managing the free quote and sales, over Megan in the front office coordinating all the scheduling and fielding all our questions with professional efficiency, to Wesley and his team completing the installation of our 12 panel system with battery back-up perfectly, cleanly, and in a very timely manner. Although they did not install my system, Dan from this office has done an exceptional job of helping us repair the mistakes of the other installer who has since gone out of business. We have not produced power since April and Dan has us up and running after one visit and continues to check on our progress. These people do exceptional work caring for their customers. Six Rivers did a great job on my solar. Dan and Miguel are an all star team in the office, and their install crew was amazing. They designed a great grid tie system, the panels were all evenly spaced, all the conduit was hidden from the roof. They did it only 2 days, and definitely slayed the dragon! I had bids from 3 other local companies, and 6 Rivers had the best price, with the best panels. Hands down a great experience, and its awesome to see my meter turn the other direction for once. We had Six Rivers Solar do an install in May 2018. The whole project went off without a hitch. Miguel, Megan, and Dan are all very efficient and professional. Wes Hodges was our electrician.
