At least the best one…read morethat is free as it currently is distributed widely through the newspaper stacks found in many local Asian businesses. They usually have a decent amount of content, well written and timely articles, and a fairly simple layout. It's uncannily similar to the Portland Chinese Times, but the AR focuses more on Asian news as a whole, rather than a specific niche in the community. I tend to catch a lot of younger folks reading this stuff while waiting for tables at restaurants or whenever they are bored. Like the PCT, there isn't much content and hence the paper is fairly thin and comparable to a newsletter. The parchment quality is annoying cheap resulting in plenty of ink smudges and easily torn pages. Among other things, their website is atrocious. The layout has reminded me not everyone has moved beyond 1995. It's like a lot of fashionistas who are stuck in the 80s, except in the online world retro is not cool or conducive. Most may be surprised it has updated news content on it. Either way, I give them 4 stars for being a community player with a good purpose but minus 1 for their hideous online edition.

I have worked with this paper for a few events and each time I get tremendous service. There are…read morejust some things that Internet does not do. I've also found them to be a great resource for business printing needs. They have plenty of staff and they are quick to respond plus they are excellent communicators. I've enjoyed the paper and miss the days of quiet time reading the daily news. The Internet may be fast but it's dry. It's nice to see locally based interest stories for keeping up life's goings on.

Citizens of Lake Oswego receive the Hello L.O. monthly, it has a ton o' information like which…read morehistoric trees are being preserved, that there is public art on display, special library programs for babies, teen Rockstar competitions, senior microwave cooking classes. It is pretty cool. I've been banned from the historic trees and senior cooking class, don't ask. There will sometimes be inserts on how to conserve water (free rain sensor), the Lake Oswego water quality report, or something about parks and recreation. It's mostly local news and advertisements, and gives me a good general sense of what's going on in these parts.
