Imagine my excitement when I learned that there is a Goodfoot store on 17th Ave!!! If I had been a gymnastics baby, you woulda seen AT LEAST a triple hand-spring. If you've never been to Goodfoot, the best way for me to explain it is as a funky, urban sneaker boutique. They specialize in hard-to-find and limited edition sneakers (Nike, Adidas, etc etc.) and it's ULTRA chic. The staff knows their sneakers and they are extremely helpful in narrowing in on which sneakers you've just GOT to have for the season. They carry sneakers that you will NEVER see in any other store in town and if Goodfoot doesn't have it, then it's cause it's not available in Calgary. Goodfoot is where the sneaker gods reside; One visit and you'll be forever enlightened.

This obviously isn't a problem with Soft Moc per se' but definitely need to get some quality staff in there. Disappointed as there are not a lot of places that carry Blundstones, but I am not going to chase down service in order to buy 160 dollar shoes!

I recently wanted to find some flats, so I visited this location. The girl who greeted me and later asked if I wanted a certain size, was friendly and helpful. I tried on a couple very cute pairs for flats. They were $40 each and I didn't love the fit enough to buy them. They had a few nice styles on sale, the heels were still $50. They do carry some accessories and bags too. The cost of shoes at Aldo doesn't make it my first place to go, unless I am looking for something particular. I find the quality can be lacking sometimes. Yet I still own numerous pairs from here that have done we well! Its a great place to check out for up to date foot fashions!

Any who, I need ass kicking boots for the big Fashion Week event in town and although the ones I picked up today were not leather they were pimping and especially well priced because of their boot sale. The salesgirl who helped me was quite charming and had a raspy naughty response for any question I had about boots. She was quite funny and her customer service sealed the deal. No complaints, good productive shopping day here but what's with these evasive identity answers, maybe Aldo you should retrain your response team.

That does happen sometimes when you online shop, but like maybe reach out to your customer and let them know that? This has happened to me using SSENSE occasionally and they always let you know directly what happened, and often times even a small discount for the error. I was a first time buyer and treated myself to a birthday gift after staring at an item I wanted for weeks, so I was pretty disappointed. Even the response to my email was cut and dry. She didn't offer a hand or ask if I needed anything. In fact, she came out of the back when I came in, stood there for a moment, and then went immediately to the back again. I don't know what her deal was, but it was very unprofessional. I'll admit that they had some really nice shoes there, but I couldn't even believe the prices! They were waaay over-priced for what they were. I saw some flats there, which barely consisted of anything, that were still $115. Does that seem ridiculous to anyone else? Even the baby shoes were $60. Not only were the prices outrageous, but the selection wasn't that wide. They had one wall full of boots and such, and a tiny stand in the middle of the place, but that was it. For the size of the store, and the amount they charge, I would expect the selection to be greater. Two thumbs way down for this snooty, expensive, not-so-great shoe store.

Although I LOVE shoes, I sometimes DREAD going shoe shopping. The reason being, because I'm stupid picky. I often don't find EXACTLY what I'm looking for and I end up getting frustrated with the crowds and the service. Enter Mona. Mona was helpful, honest, patient, proactive, easy-going and she listened to me to get a sense of my innermost shoe desires. By the end of a 30 minute visit with Mona, I left with 5 pairs of shoes in hand and I absolutely ADORE every single one of them. I have NEVER had such amazing luck in ONE shoe store, let alone on the same day, but it just goes to show if you have exceptional service, anything is possible.
