The game room has a pool table which was awesome for us adults. Everyone in the campground was friendly; even the seasonals!! October was the perfect time to visit ! The drive from Buffalo was BEAUTIFUL to say the least. The campground had well kept trails that led to the tower and circled back. Again, AWESOME scenery!! We reserved the only cabin they had left which was to be the one without the bathroom but the great part it was across the road from the bathhouse which was not an issue. Well the day before I received a call from the campground stating they had a bathroom cabin open if we would be intrested and of course we said yes. Of course it was little more but bathroom in winter with snow on the ground was a major plus. When we arrived we could not believe how great the cabin was. The cabin was #7. It offered a seperate bedroom from the man cabin and an awesome size bathroom. The bunkbed with futon was also great with the small table and chairs. We also had an order of fire wood delivered and we did burn on Saturday. We would be the only ones out with campfire!! So why this campground you may ask! Interactions by staff with calling us to let us know of an upgrade available, answering the phone when you call instead of an automated message, the place is amazing and location along the Pine Creek was awesome. Remember if you travel in the winter they did have it plowed also and the bathhouse was open also if needed along with laundry facility. Thanks again for allowing us to make memories!

I like to use the term 'shunpiker' anyway... i just took out a map and looked it over until i found something cool. having already been to dozens of state parks all over the state i decided to head north. We decided to visit the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon in Winter. so i did some searching on google for other nearby attractions and things to do. got directions from google.maps.com and then started to look for accomidations. this motel was on the west rim on the canyon, right across from the enterance basically. we called and confirmed that we would be staying, since we were not going to get there right away they left the key to our room out under a box by the front door. we arrived there after several hours of driving. we went to our room, turned the tv and heat on and crashed. the rooms were pleasant and comfortable, there were probably about 15 roioms total. they had nice clean baths and clean floors. there was a desk, table and dresser with a notebook and calender on it. they next moring we went in and they owners were both there, we got a breakfast meal for about 4 or 5 dollars. and they cooked everything themselves. it was just coffee, oj, bacon, toast and eggs. great lodging, a step away from heaven!

Soul Cleansing! Petticoat Junction campground is nestled in…read morethe PA Grand Canyon with Pine Creek on one side and the Rails to Trails on the other of the campground. This ideal location provides a nice tranquil environment with opportunities for active adventures. It had been several years since our last stay at PJC, but the new owners have done amazing improvements and upgrades to many areas of the campground which are greatly appreciated. Everyone we interacted with (owners/employees) were friendly and gave us the feeling that they were glad we chose to stay with them. There are a variety of camping options from season sites, primitive sites, cabins, glamping tents, and RV hook-ups for water and electric (along the creek). We stated in one of the water/electric hook-up sites along the creek, which was wonderful. Very flat and larger than average in size, which was nice not being on top of your neighbor. Water pressure was very good and the WIFI signal was better than many campgrounds we have stayed. The location of PJC is perfect for fishing, floating/kayaking, and biking/hiking the rails to trail. There are many nearby hikes throughout the canyon for the more adventures travelers. The office has biking/tubing/boating rentals for its campers. Additionally the firewood for sale is priced well and is very good quality, not the cheap smoky pine found in most places. If you need a break from civilization to reset and relax, I highly recommend PJC!
