Last time this year I was in the emergency room to hear a dr. telling me that I would need my arm amputated due to a horrible accident. Imagine waking up in the emergency room frightened & flat on your back... a group of doctors and nurses huddled over you with grim faces... and hearing the words amputation... thus ending my career as a painter. I call him my "Angel". Dr. Rayham... he was on his way home to have dinner with his wife. As he passed through the emergency room he heard the words amputation- he walked over read my chart & looked at my xrays.
