So on Valentine's Day of this year , I went to Manhattan Laser Spa and had the coveted VI peel done on my Face for a Melasma patch. The technician was a woman and she talked to me for almost 30 minutes about what to expect. I really think she was sizing up my face. She applied the peel everywhere but where I needed it. It was horrifically painful over the next few days and where I had the Melasma , no peeling nothing. I called spa and spoke with a Gentleman who said he was the Director of Operations and explained what happened. He never offered a refund and went away on vacation. I called the owner he never responded. I ordered a Musely kit for my Melasma for like $60 and I promise you it cleared up in less than a month. No crazy peeling and no pain Oh yes I forgot they initially overcharged me and I had to call for like a $50 to $ 100 refund. . I would not recommend that you go to this spa. This is the you have to come multiple times at $300 to get relief. Musely did it pain free in less than a month for like $20% of the cost of this VI peel. read more

I had IPL at Manhattan Laser Center twice with no redness or results. The last time, which was done complimentary after the first $300 session yielded not even an ouch or pink skin, the straight goggles with no string and were set on my face over gauze, so they were sticking up in the air. The laser was done around the eyes and the light and lack of sealing goggles scared me. My vision has been off since then. Now I am less worried about the lack of results and more worried about my eyes. This place, which appearing nice in decor, was a big mistake. I fell for the sales talk and decor. When I had IPL with a dermatologist in the past I had great results and they used real eye protection that sealed around my eyes. read more

I would not recommend this place AT ALL. Please listen to the other negative reviews, there's a reason why they are there. The management is absolutely horrible. If you have an issue or concern, it is not handled properly and is dismissed. I would not get tattoo or laser tattoo removal here, the staff is not experienced enough with something so delicate. Unfortunately they will sell you a laser package and then treat you in areas you will not get results, leaving you with worse hair growth because laser is not ideal for fine hairs. The absolute worst experience. The woman at the desk was rude and had an attitude. I went in for laser hair removal and honestly was one of the worst things. The woman who did it didn't even introduce herself or make me feel comfortable. She started with my legs and then moved on to my bikini area where it was the most painful thing leaving actual burns on my body. She did ONE armpit because she was being so aggressive I couldn't even stand to do the other. I currently can't bend my arm all the way. So unprofessional. Clearly they don't know what they're doing. After coming to manhattan laser for over a year and purchasing multiple packages including lower arm, under arm, upper thigh etc Ive concluded this place provides very poor results. After 6 session of lower arm there is little to barely any decrease in the hair growth which is very abnormal. Based on my skintone, hair color, etc I should see very good results. I will be planning to buy packages from another laser hair removal place to counteract the time and money wasted at manhattan laser.
