The 1st time I went to her, I'd never ever considered a Brazilian. The thought of having my hair ripped from my body seemed like pure torture. Why ANYONE would want to do that to themselves was inconceivable to me. But, alas, I let my friend talk me into it. Alex was incredibly patient with me and my barrage of questions as she talked me through the process. She cared about my well-being during the entire process. She had a firm but gentle touch and I was hooked. She's since done my armpits as well and now I'm on a maintenance plan. I moved to the Tampa area last summer and make the drive to have her do my waxes. Yes. She's that good. If you know the torture of I-4 traffic between Tampa and a Orlando, you will understand that I really mean it when I say SHE IS 100% WORTH IT! I even talked my husband into going! Today was his 1st time. He felt it was pretty intense but is considering doing it again. He was impressed with her skills. The "sugar" substance was gentle and forgiving on my skin. It left zero irritation or redness. My skin is usually ON FIRE after waxing but this was a dream. Because I had an unpleasant beginning to my overall appointment experience but a really great sugaring service. Starting from the beginning; I usually go to a waxing service but wanted to try something different and this place is super close. Looking at their website I saw the "firstservicefree" promotion and thought why not! I scheduled my appointment for the Winter Springs location and used the promo code they provided on the website and it brought my total down to $0 (I still tipped cash). SWEET! This was a week ago. This morning I received a call (a little over an hour before my appointment) that they would not honor the promotion because their store no longer participates. That's kind of frustrating. So I spoke to the manager and explained that there was no notation that the promotion was only at participating locations and that the promo code worked when booking the appointment. However, they resolved the issue and I proceeded with my appointment. Note: during this week period I did try contacting the store on Sunday to modify the appointment and move it up one day. No one answered the phone (I called twice). The sugaring experience with Meredith was great. She was very sweet and explained everything in detail. She was very meticulous and clean and I noticed that new gloves were being used often. Not sure if the process is less painful than waxing (I think in certain spots it may have been more uncomfortable) but I left feeling like a smooth mermaid. Everything was clean and the vibe is welcoming. Would I recommend? Not sure and I guess it depends on what you're looking for. I would maybe give this place a second try based on Meredith and the fantastic job she did but the customer service may make me feel otherwise.
