Got a facial from Tiffany a couple of months ago and my skin has very been the same (not in a good way) For one, I came in requesting one facial and she did something totally different based off her own determination. I also don't like when service providers upsells you on products without your knowledge and automatically add the product to your bill without asking you. She did one of those "I'm going to send you home with this" and then I got home and looked at my receipt and saw that the product she added was an additional $200!!! I loved 1 of the three estheticians I had. However, one esthetician was extremely rude to me, and they did not fully honor the Groupon that I purchased and thus the 1 star. I asked to speak with Tiffany on this, but that never happened. Response to owner: Thank you for reaching out, Tiffany. When I spoke to the lady over the phone, she said she could not see my Groupon anyway and treated me like I was ignorant. Before I left to live abroad, the staff told me not to worry as the company doesn't follow Groupon expiration, but upon my call over six months later, the lady said that it wasn't the case and that you, Tiffany, would call back. I don't know how to fix the issue. The memory continues to stick out as I am planning on trying to find the right esthetician or business for me. Background: -We bought a Groupon for $41 for the facial and booked online for sept 10 @ 10am. -I don't use phone much and prefer email so I would have a trace. I did notice that Tiffany does not respond promptly or read her emails very carefully when I asked a few questions via email. -They eventually called my friend asking to reschedule our apt to 11am rather than emailing me to reschedule, clearly they prefer the phone. -My friend accepted it which to me means verbal/telephone is considered an adequate medium to make changes to the original online appt. - Knowing that they prefer phone over email, I called on Sept4 to ask whether they are open on Sep 5 since the Sept 10 @ 11am apt which they asked to move us to does not work into our schedule. They said they are not open on Sept5 so I cancelled our appointments over the phone. Inappropriate Charge: They charged me $199 (full price), not even the Groupon $41 price which I originally booked using for services not rendered and was cancelled verbally over the phone on time. My Attempt at Resolving: I had a very unpleasant phone conversation with Tiffany today. She said if I don't have proof that I cancelled then it is not cancelled. I regret not continue to use my preferred method of communication (email) in order to accommodate their preferred communication - phone. Now I have no way to prove it. In fact, I was so caught off guard at her remarks in general that I didn't realize until much later that I should have said do YOU have proof that I did not cancel over the phone. At least I have someone standing next to me when I made the call. note: I found it peculiar that almost all of the 5 star ratings came from people with zero friends. Also, I rarely wear makeup so I did not want a "glam" look. Christian assured me that the lashes are light- weight and non invasive. He was meticulous in his application and educated me on aftercare for lashes along the way. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly he was able to apply, about 45 minutes. I have heard of others who took 4 hours! The lashes were not heavy or irritating at all. It felt like I had mascara on, so natural! I've been coming to Tiffany for a while now, it's been amazing. My eyelashes are very thin and fragile, so finding a place that won't put heavy extensions on that make all my lashes fall out has been difficult. The last few places I've been to have also been good, but, I always felt like I still needed to give my lashes a break after two or three months. However, for Tiffany, I don't feel that way at all. She uses 0.05 lashes on me which are really thin and blend in perfectly with my natural lashes. They're light so they don't make all my lashes fall out and they look great! I get compliments on my lashes all the time and since the extensions darken the base of my eye lids, I no longer feel the need to wear eye liner on a daily basis. I was really nervous to have a tattoo gun so close to my eyeball, but she remained calm, professional and didn't waste time. She was quick, which I appreciated. After she was finished she handed me a mirror and asked what I thought. I told her my line was looked much lighter on my left eye than on my right. She replied by saying 'let's check it out at my touch-up appointment'. I have gone to Tiffany in the past for eyebrow tattooing and was very pleased with the outcome. As time goes by, the tattoo fades and it is time for a retouch. I tried to book an appointment online and no appointments were available so I put myself on a waitlist. A few weeks went by and I got a call and was able to make an appointment for three weeks out. When getting them on TIffany had the door open and had an employee come in to chat. They talked about a getaway and the lady's husband for about 10ish minutes. I didn't see this as professional as I'm laying down getting my eyes done. One eye had more lashes than the other. Within one week they started falling out badly even though I was caring for them the way I was supposed to. She told me they would last 3-4weeks. Nadine called and asked how they were and I told her my problems she told me to come in for her to fix them. Little did I know her fixing them was an $80 fill. She couldn't tell me a reason as to why they were falling out. As soon as I left I had 6-8 eyelashes fall out in the car. I'll update on how long they last after my $80 "fix". I was 9 minutes late to my 1030 appointment. Shame on me (the client) because according to Tiffany's response to another client on Yelp, it's the client's fault. Tiffany expects clients to care that she has a tight schedule and a family (don't we all?), but she couldn't care less about her clients being in that same place. I found the office and, when I walked in, the receptionists told me "She" was already seeing another client in my place because my appointment was at 1030 and I was late. What's the point of taking my phone number down during the scheduling if they don't call clients to make sure they're not just lost or looking for parking? I'm sure the walk-in client was ready to pay more than my $200 facial. This money driven spa preferred a walk-in over a scheduled appointment. Good thing Napa has other spa businesses that actually care about their clients, with better locations and more reasonable staff. (This is a repost.
