This place is great! My friend and I both got tattoos here today! Shane did both of ours and was a great artist! My bee came out beautiful! Shop was clean and comfortable. Another perk is that they don't have a minimum, so my tattoo was reasonably priced based off the size (didn't feel like paying $100+ for a small little tattoo!) I'd give 0 stars but that's not an option. Also, to be fair, I have seen a couple good tattoos come out of the shop. However, here's what happened to me. July 2014, I walked in to the shop and spoke to Rob. I had a tattoo that I wanted him to add to. He said it was a nice tattoo but that he would be willing to work on it. I made the appointment. I gave him a $40 deposit. The day of the appointment I got a call from Rob. He said he was not comfortable with the ideas that I had sent him via email. He said he would need more time to work on something. I was pretty surprised that he would call me so last minute but I said OK and that I'd come in and figure something out. Within about a month or two I stopped back in. Whenever I called they would just tell me to come in so it took me a while before I could get back there. Rob was away. I said I'd come back but it might be a while because I'm not in the area all the time. I stop back in again, Rob was not there and nobody felt comfortable speaking on his behalf. I forgot about it for a while, even though I knew he still have the deposit I figured it wouldn't be a problem. Also, since he wasn't willing to do what I had put the original deposit down for, I wasn't sure what to do. Fast forward to October 2015 when I walked into the shop again. He was not there, again. I told the guys what the deal was that I wanted to just use up my deposit and they made an appointment. I was just going to get a very simple outline of a star which imitates one that my mother has had since I was a child. When I got there, the guy who I had spoken to the day before said he would have to check with Rob. So he went over to speak to Rob, who was tattooing a client. Across the shop Rob question whether or not he was the one who had canceled the original appointment. I said I was 100% sure that it was him. I remember him calling me and what he had said. He got a pissy look on his face and said, and I quote, "Well, I'm not like a bank or anything. You should have come and gotten your deposit. You think I owe you $40 after a year and a half? " explained that I had stopped in several times and nobody ever mentioned this as an option. There was probably six or seven other people in the shop and he yelled this to me. How embarrassing! Like I need his $40? Oh wait a minute, it's MY $40! He halfheartedly said "well, I guess I'll do it but..." I was totally uncomfortable and embarrassed having had this weird conversation across a roomful of people. I definitely do not want a tattoo from a guy that does not want to give it to me. I also do not want a tattoo from an uncomfortable situation in a shop that clearly is unprofessional and lacking in customer service. I told him to keep my money it was his now. And then, as you can see, I simply yelped the situation. This guy was totally uncool. I have a regular shop that I go to that this would never have happened in. The yelling across the room, the miscommunication, the back-and-forth, and especially the canceling on me last minute - and keeping my deposit! Wow. Not cool at all. This ain't my first rodeo buddy! You can be sure I will repeat this story to everyone who mentions that they want a tattoo. I get asked all the time about my tattoos because they are beautiful and people love them. I will steer every single person who mentions skin city away from skin city. I hope it was worth it for the $40 :-) read more

Daron is awesome!!!! I cannot stress how thankful we are to him. From what I learned he has been piercing for 28 years and truly takes pride in what he does. He REALLY knows what he is doing and is no joke. Unfortunately there are many places around town that say they do "piercings" but they do not truly know how. My daughter's nose ring was done badly by a place in Washingtonville. Not only did it hurt and took over 10 minutes to get the ring in, but was done wrong using the wrong jewelry. We went so Skin City for some help because the ring was sinking into her nose and it began to swell and hurt. Unfortunately because it was done so badly we had to get it removed. Daron explained what was done wrong and I am so disappointed for not choosing skin city to begin with. Please when looking for a place to get a piercing done or a tattoo ONLY CHOOSE SKIN CITY!!!! They are awesome, take pride in what they do, and are TRAINED!!!! Thank you again skin city! We will be back once the healing is done for a re-pierce. read more
