In a world filled with more than one dermatology office, choose another place to call up…read more No one ever answers the phone...BUT WAIT...They claim they'll call you back in one business day...HA! I waited a week before leaving a second message...and here I sit, and the end of the second, one business day, after leaving a second message...annnnnd no call back. So there won't be a third attempt at getting an appointment at this place. I'll take my business elsewhere.

However, when I arrived, I was told my appointment had been canceled because my prior heath care provider had left their practice. At some point, over the past 12 months, Warrenton Dermotology apparently decided to "chase the money" and added a "Skin Therapy Center" (aka Botox Center). With that, they began innundating my email In-Box with an avalanche of unwanted promotions for their Skin Therapy Center--which I eventually began deleting without opening them. Somewhere in the unwanted hail of unwanted Botox promotions, according to Warrenton Dermatology's Office Manager, they sent me an email--one email--advising me that my practioner had left their practice and my then-current appointment would not be honored. According to their Office Manager, when I did not respond to their lone email, they felt they had fully discharged their duty to me as an existing patient. So, they did nothing. No follow up whatsoever. No phone call. Not effort to reschedule. Nothing.

When visiting dermatologists in the past, I would often spend more time with the nurse than the actual doctor. Dr. Edwards entered the room, sat and listened to my acne life story from beginning to end. Her genuine concern and determination to provide a lasting solution was so comforting. The initial regimen she subscribed didn't provide the results she was satisfied with, so on the next few visits she tweaked the regimen until she was satisfied with the results. But the visits weren't all about her satisfaction! Dr. Edwards informed me that she was quite the perfectionist and told me to slow her down or say pause if it seemed like she was seeking perfection beyond my comfort zone. As months went by, my face totally cleared up. I've suffered with acne off and on since I was 15 years old and my face has NEVER looked this good. I've had a clear face before, but there would always be bumps under the surface. My complexion is as close to flawless as I've ever experienced. In my first visit, I was almost in tears due to the severity of my acne. I would cry myself to sleep each night and didn't want to leave the house during the day. My most recent visit to Dr. Edwards left both of us hugging each other and feeling relieved at how much my life had changed as a result of her efforts to clear my skin. I will pay any amount of money to continue seeing Dr. Edwards.

I have seen the PA at this office twice for mole checks and had several areas frozen off. One area…read moreon my upper back/shoulder was frozen but just kept getting a tiny scab on it but it wouldn't bleed. Just gave me a bad feeling so I went back and asked to have it removed and sure enough it was precancerous and more surgery is required. In the meantime, I got new insurance and the front desk called about coverage and they were told I didn't have benefits which was incorrect. I called and found out that I have limited benefits which I relayed to the office. Today I showed up for my back surgery and was told that I had to pay $1500.00 in order to be seen. I was told that the insurance will only reimburse me and not the doctor so the doctor wants payment which I get. I asked why no one notified me and this is where the "blame" game started. Front desk said the billing department called me and told me I'd have to pay that amount - I never got a call, text, email or anything. I then spoke to the billing department Loretta who reiterated what I was supposedly told and I explained again -no one contacted me about anything. "Well, I wasn't involved with that conversation" was the answer I got. When I called the front desk back, again, was told "I'm just the receptionist" when obviously I was distraught. Not only the behavior with which I was treated, but I'm the one who asked for the spot to be removed -not the PA who examined me so now I have no confidence in their capabilities. I realize it's my insurance and I should know but the office knew I only had the insurance 2 months - but to not be notified that I had to pay $1500.00 or I wouldn't be seen for an obvious oversight the PA made I find very upsetting. Terrible customer service - it went quickly downhill. I have since left to go to another practice. Save time and just go somewhere else. Casandra called me back and was really nice and understood my frustration but the damage had been done.

She stated she would call in the creams I had been using as well as an antibiotic cream. I received antibiotic pads like hemorrhoid pads not and antibiotic cream, and as told by the nurse that the creams I had asked for were not necessary and would not be called in. This was not the conversation I had with the PA.
