Our children have been patients at two of the "top-rated" pediatricians as we've moved over the years--and this is the only practice where you're truly treated as a person, not just a number. If you're looking for speed and convenience, you can always go to an assembly-line pediatrician. But if you want a true care team--literally two doctors who will know your children by name, provide thoughtful and individualized treatment, and actually keep you informed--this is the place for you. When I first called, Anastasia let me know they're a smaller practice. So yes, I may wait on hold for a couple minutes while they're helping another patient--but I'll take that any day over the rushed, impersonal care we've experienced elsewhere. At the other offices, they'd order multiple bacterial infection tests based only on symptoms I described over the phone--without even seeing my children. That's not care--that's just billing insurance as quickly as possible. Sky Valley is the complete opposite. Here, they take the time to listen, assess thoughtfully, and treat your family like their own.

The office assistant I spoke to was rude and unprofessional on a "follow up" phone call a week after I called multiple times and left voicemails requesting insulin. During my first visit I was prescribed an antibiotic that didn't help. When my symptoms continued, I returned and was prescribed a different antibiotic and asked to submit a stool sample. I dropped off the sample and then spent the next 10 days waiting for results while continuing to have significant symptoms. During that time I called the office at least four times. Each time I was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. The only guidance I received was to drink more water, stop taking Imodium, and stop following the BRAT diet by avoiding bananas and applesauce. After 10 days and multiple follow-up calls, I was finally told that my stool sample had been lost or the results couldn't be obtained, and I was asked to come back and repeat the test. By that point, I had spent weeks feeling miserable while relying on the office for answers that never came. I understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of communication and follow-up was the most frustrating part. If you need treatment for a minor illness, this office may be fine. But if you have an ongoing or more complicated medical issue that requires follow-up, test results, and communication, I would recommend looking elsewhere.

Here I am, on meds: can't work, can't drive for a month while I wait for this appointment. Here's the timeline readers: End of Feb first appointment, MRI March 2nd. Follow up March 7th. Hang on, here is the fun part...DUDE TELLS ME ITS NOT YOUR BACK, MUST BE YOUR HIP. MY BAD, LETS DO ANOTHER MRI FOR THE HIP. WILL CALL TO SCHEDULE YOU. Guess when that appt was folks? March 18th. I know now bc I called to get them for my March 21 at a different office. Also, decide if that parking lot is one way. Too small, too round, and too many people dropping off patients. He restrung a cadaver ligament through and with PT, I'm almost as good as new. They are lax on HIPPA enforcement and can be cranky. It's a tough operation so I can imagine the pressure. I was not pleased to be pressed about picking up a narcotic while I was in the PT office nextdoor. I repeatedly discussed that it was not mine since it was over a month old. I finally asked them to bring it over and it was another patient's with a similar last name. UGH. So, now I see a prescription belonging to someone else and just the lack of attention to detail is unnerving. This doesn't detract from Dr. Weidner as an excellent orthopedic surgeon as in most medical offices is the case. You can trust your parts with him! The Therapists were professional, kind, caring and concerned for his overall wellbeing and he looked forward to his sessions twice per week. I have been a patient at a couple of other clinics in Gainesville, VA since July of 2024, and when my prognosis grew stale and outcomes were either unchanged or actually regressed I searched for different options. Kayla actually seems to listen to me each time I visit and addresses my issues with manipulation, massage, and exercise recommendations. I recently updated my treatment plan with my podiatrist and Prime PT had implemented the changes to my treatment plan in time for my next visit (proactively, which is a big change from other providers). I will continue as long as needed for weekly and then infrequent visits when my issues become more manageable. I truly enjoy, and don't dread my sessions here and couldn't recommend them more.
