I came in to Skin Habit for a facial and head and neck massage after not having one for years, and I loved it! Since it had been so long since I had a facial I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was really relaxing and actually felt incredible! My esthetician, Lauren, was super friendly and talked through each treatment and what to expect. She also gave me some helpful recommendations without making it feel salesy at all, which I really appreciated. I left with my skin looking noticeably better -- a lot of the blotchiness was gone, and my skin looked even and glowy. Even today I still look great and my face feels well hydrated. I felt like they balanced both the results of an effective facial and the spa experience really well. Also, shoutout to the receptionist who kindly gave me a little extra time to move my car so I could use their parking validation and avoid paying. It was much appreciated!! I've been a skin habit regular for the last year and a a half and put so many people on to their services. This place is THE BEST! For so many reasons, the quality of the service feels luxury without the luxury pricing. They offer their maintenance facials or you can go a get a full service with a specific goal in mind. The techs ask about your skin and treat it accordingly. They ask about your skincare routine and give amazing advice and offer products they carry that might help any skin issues you're having. The best part is they don't push sales on you! It's frustrating to go for a relaxing service and feel like you're obligated or pressured to leave with $100+ worth of product. I have actually bought products from them because they feel like honest recommendations and not sales pitches and the pricing is fairly reasonable. I had a microcurrent facial and it was aaaamazing. I loved all the masks, they smelled like bluberries and mangos, it was a great experience for my nose and for my skin. My main concern were fine lines that are just starting to form and I am trying to delay botox as much as I can. Kristy did a great job smoothing them out. My skin looks so good!. She used microcurrent to stretch some of the muscles and tone the others, so my 11 lines are basically gone. Also, Kristy gave me some great advices how to take care of my skin, she took the time to go through the whole routine with me using the skincare that I already have (and I have a lot!). read more

What a delight! Her technique and caring were obvious from the first moments. We talked through my current routine as Nancy applied products and explained what she was doing. Super relaxed and easy. Her neck and shoulder massage was fantastic. I felt so pampered! When checking out, she made a few product suggestions but there was no pressure, and the choices were explained and clearly tailored to me. I have only gone to the North Park location but today I wanted to go at the spur of the moment and there was only an appointment at the Pacific Beach location so I decided to give it a try. Before I made the decision I checked on yelp and discovered that, Jasmine had good reviews and so I went ahead and booked the appointment for an hour from my booking time. Jasmine greeted me and I was ushered into the room which was more spacious of the North Park location, and she got right to work. I I didn't need to inform her of what I needed because she intuitively knew that I needed lots of hydration for my extremely dry skin , she also did the exfoliation of my blackheads, which is the other thing that I came in for. Jasmine has a wonderful sense of humor and she made the time pass quickly. I she has a special touch when she was applying the extra moisturizer to my face she had an amazing way of massaging my entire face and giving me deep relaxation. I was getting a little cool, and so she took my feet in and I was cozy as ever. She did a couple things that were new to me. She put some hot rocks behind my upper back, which was absolutely lovely because anything hot feels rapturous. she also added some oxygenation and mist on my face after hydrating it extensively and I really appreciated that. When the facial was done, I was amazed at how hydrated my face felt. Jasmine did an excellent job at providing the care my face desperately needed. I'm so glad I took a chance at a new aesthetician at a new location. You get my vote jasmine! Way to go! read more

Had an incredible hydrating facial here. On day 2 and my skin is still glowing. No steam but lots of interesting nice sensations from a cryo ball to hot wash clothes, it did wonders for my skin. It's not the "posh" "relaxing" setting of a traditional spa so don't expect beautiful scents and a massage while your mask is soaking but it doesn't matter because my skin looks and feels amazing, oh and she gave me a little jar of hyaluronic acid/aloe Vera gel which my skin soaked up that evening and the next morning. While I was waiting I browsed the products they sell (meaning I read the label of every single one, being a skin care junkie I can't help it) and they are excellent quality, clean products, with peptides and without silicone. I ended up buying the La Mieux bio-cell moisturizer (and have yet to use it ). This place is great ( though it could definitely be epic with a few tweaks to elevate the experience). Highly recommend Edit: it's been 3 weeks and my skin is still dewy and glowing. Idk what they did but I'm hooked and I'm so sad that I'll be moving away soon. For the quality this place is a bargain! They really need to franchise. I also absolutely love the Le Mieux bio cell moisturizer I bought for only $31, I've switched from drunk elephant proteini to this and my skin looks so much brighter. read more

Gia is my favorite person in the world! She is the sweetest, kindest soul. I started seeing her at the North Park location and had to follow her to the PB location. My genetics leave me prone to acne, and honestly, Gia has helped my face SO much. She is so talented and highly knowledgeable when it comes to skincare. Their products are great, too. I'm usually skeptical because places often try to upsell or inundate you with items you don't need, which is NEVER the case here. I have loved every product I have purchased. I've been here 3 times and have had mixed experiences, but overall left with a good facial so I'll just speak to my most recent experience that prompted this review My visit this weekend left me disappointed for a few reasons: - booked for a brow shaping, 50 min facial, and high frequency (~90 min duration was what I was told to expect) and left within 60 mins, making me feel like the facial duration wasn't really 50 mins - the esthetician I booked was not who did my service, but someone different that I have never been to - she called me the wrong name which just is a little off putting - the esthetician mentioned she doesn't work out of this location so getting settled in was awkward as she was trying to figure out where to plug things in and fumbling around - asked why I chose high frequency, and I said the previous esthetician I saw recommended it, and she didn't think I needed that but proceeded to do it anyways - this is on me, but just wish she would've told me that before she began and maybe I could've looked at a different add on service - unfortunately she burned my skin under my brows, just above my eyelids, with brow wax and removed skin, super super upsetting If I come back it will be for a facial only since the brow experience wasn't great, and will definitely call to confirm my esthetician beforehand to avoid this happening again read more

I've been going to skin habit's north park location for years, but I decided to try their new PB location and it's just as amazing. The reception and store front is just so cute and inviting. I got the 80 min glow and brightness facial with Angelina and she did a wonderful job. I was so relaxed throughout the facial and my skin was so glowy and radiant by the time I was done. Angelina helped me address my problem areas and reviewed a good routine to keep my skin in the best shape. I've been with Gia for a few months now and she's everything you could ever ask for in an esthetician and more! She's very informative and she'll cater to your personal facial needs. Gia's introduced to red light therapy, which helps with collagen stimulation. Booking an appt with Gia is like booking a facial and therapy session at the same time! She never fails to remember personal things about you, which makes your experience that much more memorable. She's very personable and has the warmest and sweetest personality. As far as their services, confirmation is very easy through text/email, and if any problems arise, they have a number that you can easily text. At the end of your service, they have products that they personalize for your skincare regimen in a tray with your name, but no pressure at all to sell/buy! I rarely leave reviews on Yelp, but Gia has blown me away with her service. I went to her for my first facial with Skin Habit, and it was absolutely incredible. I booked the appointment for the Clear Skin for All 50 minute facial. Since this was my first appointment, before starting she made sure to take a look at my skin to make sure this was the best facial for me. She is very knowledgeable, explained what was happening with my skin, takes her time explaining the process, and really analyzes your skin to provide you with the best treatment plan. When I was finished she created a plan for my skin moving forward and recommended some products for purchase and WHY she was recommending them, even going into the science behind them. I ended up purchasing the products, but she was not pushy at all and was willing to work with the skin care products I already had if I wanted to. With that being said, I'm really happy I did purchase them because they truly are great products and they were mid level pricing (not some super expensive unaffordable product). I would give her service a 12/10 because of the knowledge, patience, and overall caring experience she provided. Even after my appointment she texted me telling me if I have any questions it's no bother to text her directly.
