Shortly after the filler was placed, I sought evaluation from a nationally recognized injector and trainer who diagnosed malar edema and advised that the filler had been improperly placed. This was my first experience with tear trough filler or any filler. Since then, I have consulted numerous injectors, vein specialists, and oculoplastic surgeons, all of which is documented. Contrary to your statement, there is extensive published discussion within the aesthetic community regarding the long-term complications of tear trough filler, including persistent swelling, malar edema, Tyndall effect, migration, and filler remaining detectable years after injection. I've gone 3 times now for this treatment with nurse Cara and my TMJ and migraines improved significantly after the first treatment! I also added on forehead and 11's Botox during my last appointment and am very pleased with the results! Nurse Cara is very skilled, informative, kind, and calming (I was nervous!).
