How refreshing to meet the team at M.D. Claiborne Dermatology office! I was warmly welcomed by the front desk(given the most needed ink pen to take home)! Carrie the medical assistant was very thorough in getting my medical history and reason for my visit. Jennifer, Esthetician, very knowledgeable when explaining the services offered and how to keep my skin healthy. Dr. Claiborne actually listened to what my issues were and gave me a regimen, I could follow. Also Annie and Bonnie were both very knowledgeable regarding Daavlin booth and scheduling of my future visits. I give the entire team a huge thumbs up ! Looking forward to my next visit. It's so comforting when you have a great team both clinically and customer service oriented.

But after letting them know what happened and the way it was handled I am so disgusted IDC about how they feel cause CLEARLY THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT ME OR MY WELL-BEING. HERE GOES....I initionally was sent to this "Med spa" (I use the term loosely) to have my lips and some botox for the first time. My experiences here have never been smooth sailing but ultimately I really like Katherine so I continued to do botox with her and on July 9th HAD an appt for my lips, 2nd time, and botox, 3rd time. Well I had an email from them about on sale dermablading and work very hard so I said ok ill treat myself. The appt was great, I really enjoyed getting to know Charli a little better and they had a super sweet girl in there I had never met so I got to meet her as well. Charli even turned me on to the Color Science voodoo 50 SPF tinted moisturizer, which I bought and ABSOLUTELY LOVE. WELL let's fast forward 3-4 days later and my face was extremely swollen, looked almost like an abcess had formed where I had a blemish that wasn't all the way healed when I went in for my dermablading. Noone said it was an issue so i didn't think it was. Boy was I WRONGGGGGGGG. MY FACE WAS SO SWOLLEN, refer to pictures, on the fourth/fifth day after I had no choice but to go ro Urgent care cause I didn't want to go to the er but it was Sunday and I had to go somewhere. Of course I was right. I had a staph infection on my face. I was given a steroid shot in my hip a steroid to take a home and also Bactrum antibiotic. On Monday is when I went ahead and reached out. So much is wrong with how this place handled me. For one the ONLY person I was allowed to talk to, complain to, was the person that actually did the procedure, Charli. She was apologetic said she would call Katherine and get back to me. At this point i would've bet my life Katherine was gonna call me and so we could talk about this BIG ISSUE. WELL, THANK GOD I didn't bet anyone cause it was actually, you guessed it, Charli thar called me back to say these things happen unfortunately and they would give me my $65 back if I would like. I just had to laugh and hang up. NO LOVE YOU CAN KEEP YHE $65, OBVIOUSLY Y'ALL NEED IT MORE THAN ME. AND im sure there is some truth to the whole, these things happen. BUT YOU KNOW WHERE IR DOESNT HAPPEN?!?!? CLEAN PLACES!! YOU DIDNT JUST GIVE ME AN INFECTION, YOU GAVE ME A STAPH INFECRION ON MY FACE RIGHT BY MY MOUTH. NOT ONLY DID I HAVE TO PAY ALMOST $400 FOR urgent care and prescriptions, had to miss 2 days of work cause I can NOT work like that, see pictures, couldn't kiss my kids, still can't kiss my handsome husband because I am terrified I'll pass something onto one of them. But sure I need my $65 back. A joke really. The WORST PART OUT OF ALL OF THIS ISNT THAT THEY OFFERED ME $65, INSULT, ITS THAT AT NO POINT IN TIME DID SHE ASK IF I NEEDED ANYTHING OR IF I MAYBE WANTED KATHERINE TO HAVE A LOOK AND SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING EITHER OF THEM COULD DO. IM STILL TRYING TO HEAL AND ITS BEEN MORE THAN A WEEK. NEEDLESS TO SAY IVE CANCELLED ALL MY UPCOMING APPTS AS HAVE MY FRIENDS THAT I referred their. I attempted to self diagnose but was unable to self treat. Dr. Paddock was recommended by a friend. Upon calling to schedule an appointment I was able to be seen within a week. The morning of the appointment comes. I drive from Gretna to his Metairie office. I was running late - even called to ask if they still wanted me to come and they said yes - we will make it work. I arrive about 20 min past my scheduled time. The front desk lady, Joann greeted me with a "good morning" and smile! She had me fill out my new patient paperwork and then the nurse IMMEDIATELY took me back. No waiting! NO WAITING!!! The nurse, Crystal asked me about my concerns and reviewed my chart. She too was very friendly, knowledgable and inquisitive. She guaranteed the doctor would be with me shortly. She wasn't kidding. Literally moments later, this smaller than average older gentleman walks in and introduces himself, Carter Paddock. He didn't look at me funny or comment about my blue hair (like the usual response I get from people older than myself). He immediately checked my moles (non concerning) and addressed my skin issues. He diagnosed me. Gave me a prescription for it, a couple of samples and then froze this "spot" that had been irritating me because of its mere presence. Answered all of my questions and asked to see me back in 3 weeks. He seemed to know his stuff, I was impressed! I look forward to seeing him and his staff once again. I would definitely see this office for future skin issues and any beauty services that are out of my scope. So now comes the dreaded check out. Again with Joann. She is a very attractive and bubbly lady. Her smile is contagious and lights up a room. Being that I haven't satisfied my health insurance deductible I am expecting to pay a small fortune for all that was done.... To my very pleasant surprise = it was extremely affordable. Overall experience gets A+ !!! I've already referred a friend to see him. :)

The nurses were very sweet, but when Dr. Coleman came in, he seemed irritated I was back and in a rush? He flashed his mirror standing 5 feet away from me and told me what he thought was the problem with my lip - I said how do you know for sure? (Since he was standing so far away and took a half of a second with the flash of his mirror toward me) he really said "just like you know that that's a chair" and pointed to the chair my little boy was sitting in. I couldn't believe the condescending tone and coldness he emitted In that moment. Frankly, it confirms my feelings about doctors and how ego driven they can be. He tried to leave the room in a hurry and I had to stop him to mention the other issues I came in for, surely they were written down beforehand by the nurses? I have a stye that hasnt gone away after about a month, told me since I am nursing I will have to wait because only doxycycline will help. Not true, there are plenty of antibiotics that are safe for nursing mothers. I will be going to my GP for an amoxicillin script. All in all, it was clear that me being there was a huge inconvenience to him. I will not be back.
