I have always wanted to know what was inside that building/house especially with that gorgeous curved front door. Passed it so many times on University. Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.

Immediately when I walk I was told that Tabitha was on leave and that someone else will be doing my lashes. I was not informed prior to this appointment that Tabitha was on leave and I SPECIFICALLY wanted her to do my lashes. On their website I had booked with her and it said that there was availability when in reality there wasn't. The overall experience was fast BUT one side of my lashes were over processed and began to curl inwards. After about a few weeks I noticed quite a few of the over processed lashes starting to FALL OUT. Almost all of my longer lashes that were once I the inner corner of my eye are completely gone! I would NOT recommend for anyone to come here due to the fact that there is lack of communication with clients and poor quality work that is done. I was very excited to get my lash lift done but paying 128 dollars PLUS 20% gratuity is completely insane for such a horrible job that was done! I would not recommend anyone to come here!!!
