I really was hoping it was sweat or lotion. It was towards the end so I grin and bear it. I am totally disgusted but figured I wouldn't freak out until I see the therapist. Maybe she sweats a lot. I pay with cash. I go to give a tip and the therapist told me I owe her $20. I asked how. She said "she is so tired". She said it "was a different type of massage". I said how? I asked for deep tissue. She said yes but "she is so tired". "I worked her hard." She points in my wallet to a 20. She said you owe me. I asked how much the treatment was - she confirmed $70. I said I gave you 70. She said she had to work harder on me. I owe her more it was a different type of massage. One, no - no it was not. Two, don't say that out loud - my wife wouldn't appreciate that and we could get arrested. Three - unless you consider dripping bodily fluids on me, different - I'm not sure wtf is going on here. I questioned again the price. She said $70 plus $20 because she is tired. I asked to speak to a manger. She refused. A new client walked in. I told him to be careful. I told him about the additional $20. He didn't care and shrugged and she left with him. He must get the "special" massage. Never again. This was beyond a whirlwind of wtf.

My skin needs based on what I told her as well as her expertise. For example, I told her that I have combination skin with a troublesome T-zone and briefly described to her what my skin concerns were and what my daily skincare routine was like. Based on this information, she was able to diagnose me or at least recommend two masks that I found really helpful in helping me to achieve the holiday glow I was going for. She recommended a Goji berry mask for the hydration and anti-aging properties and then a golden honey mask for the T-zone. As a beauty influencer, I find it refreshing when expertise meets the customer experience. We started the facial with a massage, and it really helped me with the holiday stress and knots that I had especially in the upper shoulders. She also did an extraction for me, which isn't really usually what I do, but I know that my fiancé and others love to watch those ASMR medical videos where they pop, pimples and extract, blackheads and whiteheads, so that's probably a really satisfying process to watch. I usually take my hygiene very seriously as well as my skin care routine so it was so surprising to see how much gunk she could extract and I was in awe. The process of getting a beauty treatment involves a lot of talking and venting and I really do feel like I unintentionally used this session as a much needed therapy session, but I also developed a lifelong friendship with both Marilyn and Melissa who introduced me to the business. This holiday season I will be going up to New Hampshire to spend Christmas with my future in-laws so I was really aiming to impress this year and Marilyn really helped me achieve a look that enhances my own natural beauty and makes me feel radiant and sparkly like a snowflake. I honestly couldn't recommend her more and I'm deeply considering using this business for my own wedding. That's how much I believe in her and the quality of care I received. P.S. The only minor critique that I have which is easily fixed is that during the winter, especially due to the shed it is a little bit cold in there so preferably a larger or industrial size space heater would work, but she was such a sweetheart and brought hot water from the house and still made it a really comfortable and an enjoyable experience despite the elements so just for consideration, I give that a 10 out of 10.
