Four years later I chose it again for my second child, who is now about to complete his preschool stage. Not to say that I didn't like any of the other schools I visited. We are lucky in Miami to have so many great choices for preschool. But this little gem spoke to my heart. It truly is a place where families experience learning together. As a cooperative preschool, parents work along side the teacher, who by the way has been there for about 20 years and is truly dedicated to her mission. The children learn, and learn to love learning, by doing a lot of what they do best: play...inside and outdoors. They also have daily structured art, math, science, reading, pre writing, and writing activities. Because of the class size, the teacher is able to assist each child at their own level, and there are about two field trips each month!!!, so as a group you also get to know Miami and what it has to offer the community quite well! You get to truly meet the parents of the other children, since it's not just a drop off place, and your family finances don't suffer, because it costs a fraction of what all other schools in Miami cost (plus VPK4 year is completely free!). My second child graduates in less than a month, but my entire family will carry this little place forever close to our hearts. We all are better people because of the five years spent at this little treasure we found.

Some required our 2 year old to wipe his own behind and other prided them selves in explaining that most parents picked their kids up in rolls royces. Our 3rd interview was with Mia Piccolo, after 5 minutes we knew our choice was made up. We are finishing our second year and I can't say I had 1 complaint. To get an idea I'm the most overprotective parent and always overthink like most parents with their firs born. This baby university is absolutely amazing, our munchkin is learning more than I imagined, plus they offer Tennis, soccer, yoga and much more... She has given us plenty of great tips on how to support our son through various challenges. She is a professional you can trust every step of the way. I really appreciate that the school has a strong value system, so kindness and respect are truly FELT in the classrooms. My son is quite sensitive, so it was precious to have peace of mind and know that he feels safe at school. Last but not least, the school administration has been very responsive and forthcoming to meet all our needs. We did a tour and liked a school,and we were pretty satisfied with a year our two year old completed here. We decided to continue,but this year is a different story. Actually a friend of mine whose kid was in different class,pulled her kid before this school year,pointing out that school has some issues. I don't know if that's because the director changed or the school run out of money,but activities became so limited.Most of the days kids just doing coloring and painting,not much of diverse materials are used even though you pay for it.Last year was much better regarding this.Curriculum missing some creativity. This year there have been zero field trips even though they were promised. Instead of taking kids to a museum tour as a field trip,they invite you(it's optional activity)to bring your kids on the weekend for a museum tour and charge you like 60$ per ticket.Ridiculous. Christmas party that was planned for a while was basically a bounce house. Other important thing,they are short on staff. The pictures of daily kids activities are posted on the app not very often.For that I don't blame the teacher(my kid teacher is great by the way,knowledgeable,passionate and caring and we really like her),but she is by herself most of the times so obviously can't do everything. On the good note,the school is very clean,super safe,everyone is friendly,the atmosphere is great,front desk ladies are amazing,very communicative and always there for any questions,ready to help you out with a smile. My kid's teacher is amazing as well,she pours all of her heart in care for the children. The teachers are very knowledgeable about Montessori education as well as the methods involved and they take it very seriously. They are very hands on with the children and strike a great balance between having a serious learning environment filled with love and understanding. I recently enrolled my younger son in the Il Nido class for infants and he loves it so much that some days he does not want to come home :) I can't recommend this school enough!
