Children made great tasting lasagna and pies. Other dishes were made too. Broke my kids out of picky eater phase for a few days. Cute Plants were given to take home as a suvinior after a week of camp to take home. They have a movie after a long day. :) very friendly staff and catered to my children's food allergy's and very attentive Highly recommended! They loved it and there teacher.

Went to the Thursday evening pasta making class last night. We had a wonderful time! Maria is a great teacher and all of the staff there are really great. It was very fun, interactive, and easy. And, the food turned out delicious!! We had quite a range in the group from about a 14-year-old to a professional chef! Would recommend this to anyone who wants to learn new skills, or is a beginner, or just wants to have a fun night out with friends, or for a date... Highly recommended!

A special yearly treat My kids love coming for a week every summer. They come home daily with delicious recipes, sample food they've prepared, confidence in their broadening cooking abilities, and healthy cooking tips! We've known the owners since my daughter had her third bday party with them and now she's almost 14!

What an amazing birthday experience! Our family of 40 came to celebrate together for a momentous birthday. Everything was thought of and we had the best time!

Amazing place! Whether you're planning a party, corporate event, or simply a date night, this place will surely entertain everyone with a palate for delicious Italian food (they also have Asian and Indian menus). The chef greeted us and served us wine. She then showed us how to make caprese salad and raviolis with meat balls from scratch. The place was clean, organized, and very well lit. They played lovely music during our event. I loved it so much that I'm planning to come back very soon.

I booked this class for the first time for my 11 year old son and 12 year old niece, at first they were reluctant to go but by the end of the class, they both loved it. They had an amazing time! They made butternut macaroni and cheese, winter salad and pumpkin pie cup ( which were amazzzzingggg ). The helper helping the kids was super attentive, hospitable and genuine. While the kids are cooking, parents are able to watch from the loft and can take pictures. We will definitely be back!!!!!

Went to my daughter in laws baby shower here. Great party idea!! The food was delicious, all organic. Loved getting to learn a couple of new recipes for my granddaughter on her way & her big brother.

I bought tickets to a pasta making class for my partner as a Christmas present. We both had such a great time during this class. The food was also amazing! We will definitely be back and have encouraged our family members to come with us.

If you're considering hosting your child's birthday party at Real Food Academy, you might be wondering if it is really worth the considerable cost. For us the answer was absolutely yes. The way the party is structured mixes instruction and fun perfectly and allows kids of different ages and dexterity to enjoy themselves equally. Our hostess Maya was absolutely wonderful and added in numerous extras that enhanced everybody's enjoyment of the activity. Once I booked the event I really didn't have to worry about anything else. Other parents told me it was the best birthday party they had ever been to. So yes, it's a lot more expensive than an indoor playground, but it will stand out in the memories of your family and guests forever.

AMAZINGGG!!!! My daughter had soooo much fun!!! We came here on Saturday morning with my cousin.. While the girls were cooking, us moms were enjoying some breakfast at the cafè, which by the way is amazing.. The cooking class was very hands-on. The instructor was super nice and often called on my daughter to help her.. Each participant had the chance to cook... The quality of the food was great.. The dessert they made was delicious and the berry smoothie was tasty.. We cannot wait to come back for other cooking classes!

He took the time to explain the pasta making process in detail and gave us useful tips as well as teaching us a bit of history and geography. This is the complete package you guys! You will definitely learn and you will have a delicious professionally prepared meal at the end. We stated with a basic pasta dough that we kneaded by hand. While the dough rested we enjoyed a delicious fresh salad of greens, carrots, cucumber, and tomatoes just drizzled with aromatic olive oil. Brought back memories of vacations in Italy where we made salad from the veggies growing from our garden. We continued in our pasta making journey by rolling out the dough and passing it through the pasta roller. Chef also demonstrated how to make different shapes of pasta and the history behind them. We the watched him prepare our pasta dinner! This was the most challenging part...mouths were surely watering! We were served pappardelle with mushroom ragout, and ravioles stuffed with truffled ricotta. Everything was fresh tasting and delicious. I loved all the simple ingredients and the light natural flavors. Dessert was chocolate mousse with strawberries and fresh whipped cream! Heaven!! We all left with our very own pasta dough ...and I'm seriously considering practicing what I learned! This was such an amazing experience and I'm looking forward to trying something like this again.

The length of the class was about 2.5 hours of incredible Pasta making and Pasta filling and shaping. Chef for the class was Chef Nunzio from Naples, Italy. Chef Nunzio was simply amazing. He has great charisma and is extremely talented. He took the time to explain the process, to make contact with each one of us at the class and to guide you as needed. Who knew that making pasta would be so much fun. We made Papardelle from scratch with a mushroom ragu and also ravioli stuffed with truffle oil flavoured ricotta-parmesan mix. (This was heaven in a spoon) Also created a small salad appetizer to let the pasta dough rest after the knitting process, with a simple yet delicious citrus vinaigrette. Ohhhh.... it is a BYOB kind of a deal that I didn't know about... So feel free to bring a nice bottle of wine to drink and share as others kindly did since I didn't bring any. I highly recommend Cozymeal to anyone wanting to learn. The "how to" process is incredible. Can't wait to see what other classes are available to sign in. Thumbs up for the Cozymeal team and thanks for this great opportunity. PS: the location was beautiful and nicely decorated.

She brought ponchos so we could continue on as it rained. It was beautiful to learn about and see this neighborhood through the eyes of someone who grew up here. Toni knows so much history and seemed to know so many of the people, too! The tour has so much food - I was honestly more than full at the end and I didn't even finish all of my portions. I think it was a really good range of drinks, desserts, and food. Even though that coffee cup looks small, that's a full serving size and it was strong! I really really appreciate that this tour not only accommodated for vegetarians but also chose options for me that were realllllly good. Instead of the cubano, I had these fried plantain cups stuffed with veggies. They were SO good and seasoned well! And the spinach and cheese empanada was also amazing. My friend who got the meat options also loved her food. This tour is the perfect way to learn more about Cuban history, the history of the neighborhood, see all the street art, watch a game at domino park, and experience some of the best food in Miami. I cannot recommend this enough!!!

I jumped on the online schedule and picked the sunday class "a chicken in every pot" instructed by Chef Robin. When we got to the class 2 others were supposed to join but never showed. Therefore my friend and I had an unexpected private class! Chicken. Might sound boring right? Well can you actually roast a whole chicken with it getting beautifully brown and stay juicy? tie a chicken? cook a crispy and flavorful chicken provencal or saltimboca with an amazing sauce that I wanted to stick a straw in and drink? We learned all that and some. We learned great tricks on how to do the above items which may seem basic but with tips to truly take your cooking to the next level. Actual chef secrets that you can use in everyday life! While most of the fun was learning and cooking we also got to taste our dishes. The dishes blew my mind with how good they were. It was a lot of food since we made three dishes so chef robin was kind enough to give us containers to take most of it home. This was such a fun and educational foodie time. Perfect for date night, girls night, team building, or really just anyone who loves to learn, cook and eat. Thanks Chef Robin for a great class! I'm not much of a cook so I did exactly as I was told to the best of my ability. We chopped veggies, made/rolled dough, added and combined ingredients all in the right sequence. In the beginning, I was so afraid to make a mistake that at times I may have been too slow but eventually I got the hang of it. Thanks to Ana and Robin we were able to make dinner and dessert in a very efficient and timely manner. We first prepared dessert, the Tarte Tentacion, so that we could put in the oven while we prepared dinner. The crust was probably the hardest thing to make here. We had to sift together all of the dry ingredients and pulse it in the food processor. Then add butter and pulse it again until the butter flakes formed pea-size pieces. Then add ice water to just hold it together. We then took this out and smeared it across a board and formed a mound of dough. We rolled this dough until it was the size of the circular pan and this dough eventually baked as the bottom crust once we turned it over out of the pan. This crust tasted amazing. Can't believe we made that ourselves. After dessert started to bake, we prepared the Ropa Vieja and Calabaza con Mojo at the same time. We combined a lot of spices and chopped a lot of veggies in a timely manner. Ana advised on how and when to heat all of the ingredients and when to combine them properly with the shredded beef. The food came out really fresh and tasted great. Nothing was too oily or salty. It was just right. Our dinner was served with white wine, a nice pairing. My Cuban +1 noted that this was the best Calabaza he's ever had and I promised not to tell his abuela. IN THE KITCHEN with Norman Van Aken is a culinary school and is for enthusiasts of all levels. Classes are led by guest teachers, famed chefs, food artisans, etc. from America and abroad. They are inspired by a passion for food while not being defined by boundaries. This location has 3 businesses: cooking classes, restaurant, and rooftop lounge.
