Been here a few times and this place is a lot of fun. It's about a 2 hour drive for me from Philly. There are much closer places, so why here? There snacks and food are pretty good too. Not terribly priced. Locks for the lockers are $5 but you get to keep the master lock. The areas you can play in are large and a lot of fun. It's pretty orderly and organized. Doesn't take long to get you playing. Of course if you suck like me you'll be out in 5-10 minutes every time but it doesn't take long to reset. My only issue is the guns are junk. The refs were able to replace the gun or quickly fix the issues I was having throughout the day. They offered me extra paint balls since my gun sucked. Oh the bathrooms smelled horrible. I originally thought there was a no drinking policy. Now they have a beer garden there. We got 4 people playing deluxe and ended up giving 3 bags of paintballs away at the end. I want to start getting up here more than once a year. read more

My son had a great time here. It was fairly well organized and the coach was awesome. We attended as part of a private group which I'd recommend if at all possible as you can keep it more casual. Upon arrival most of the group rented gear, which consisted of camo, some "armor", and pellet holder for $20. I'd advise to get the cheaper package (no armor) because the armor was next to useless. Since everyone was new to paintball, the coach then ran the group through the rules, and was very patient with all the silly questions from the kids. Theres a fairly long walk after that to the fields.... I'm not sure why they located the parking lot so far from the fields. So just keep that in mind when packing food and water. The free lockers are located by the fields. There are a number of courses, which were relatively big. I don't recall having to wait too long at any. The only issue though is that they were MUDDY... we arrived the day after rain. So I'd recommend wearing hiking boots. My sneakers were not doing a great job. One final tip is to bring gloves. read more

This is our 3rd time paintballing at Skirmish, clearly we can't get enough of this place. We've made this experience a spring family tradition at this point. There were only 8 of us this time, previously we've come with atleast 20 people which allowed us private play. This time because our group was so small we had to Open Play, which means being added to a larger group of people. That was a bit nerve wrecking, didn't know how badass/weak the other players would be. Lol Our two refs were Eric & Zach, super cool dudes. They added my group to a team that had already been playing a couple games. All together it was about 25-30 of us. We played some solid and really fun games with them and they were such a great group to play with. Everyone was friendly and ready to kick ass. We played about 4 fields, two games each time, ensuring each group got to experience both sides of the field. Our favorites were 'catch the flag' in the tunnels, the helicopter and the tanks! I love the tanks for the high ground it provides and best view points. Catch the flag was amazing, we had a great strategy this time and WON! The refs were really good at making sure no one was cheating and trying to stay in the game after being shot. I really don't know how they're capable of seeing and tracking everything but they did. They asked where we wanted to play next and made sure to provide clear rules...and tips when possible. That was helpful lol. Only things I wished they had is another bathroom in the back where all the gun supplies are provided and additional air tank refills near the front where the seating area closest to the parking lot is. Other than that, I love this place and we will keep coming back. We definitely have to try different fields and not get stuck going to the ones we've already played. read more

Great place to go paintball shooting, even for first timers! Went with a small group of 6, and we enjoyed ourselves a ton. Kyle was one of our refs and he was amazing! Even offered us bug spray at some point (ps. bring bug spray and sunscreen). I forget the other ref's name but he had a bit of an attitude. Nonetheless, they were both fair and attentive during games, ensuring everybody was safe and enjoying themselves. I think everything was reasonably priced. However, I wouldn't recommend getting the camo suit. It doesn't have any padding, and since the paint is washable, there's not much point in wanting to protect your clothing, just wear something you don't mind getting dirty. The goggles also tend to fog up, especially when you're running around sweating. Hope to be back soon! read more

Came here yesterday with my friend's group for my first time paint balling! So excited and nervous at the same time. I did not know what to expect but definitely was expecting a lot of pain. We paid $30 per person and $20 for a bag of 500 paintballs. The $30 is because of some group thing and the paint was only $20 per bag because they bought a few cases to get the discount. Otherwise, I think it was $26 a bag. We played in the woods in a few different fields but we didn't get to play in the castle because it was being redone. =( I did expect more obstacle course kinds of fields though. The battles ended pretty quickly but they might just be because we were all amateurs besides 3 or 4 guys. The last battle was also crazy! You basically just shoot each other until you run out of paint! Good thing I start out for that one! Our two refs were real cool and chill and I even ended up shooting one guy by accident. Sorry! I cannot wait to go back and play again!! It did not hurt as much as I was expecting but I did get hit in the head and that does still hurt a bit. Oh and their bathroom... A toilet and a hole.. A deep, dark hole that makes you think a raccoon is going to crawl up and bit you in the butt! O.o read more

I was excited to come to Skirmish as this would have been my first time playing here. Everything started fine, my friend and I both paid our entry fee and also brought a box of paint. After that, we were instructed to walk back to the playing fields and there we were able to get air, set up our guns, etc. Once we got ourselves together, we headed to the staging area where one of the employees asked us "if we ever played paintball before?" we answered yes and then he proceeded to ask us "If we ever played at skirmish before?" we told him that we did not. He then instructed another gentleman to go over a brief description on how the games go. His discription consisted of ;what hits count as an out and what not to do while playing. So as we make our way back to the first game, we had to wait until the current game was over, when the game was over the ref assigned us to our teams and we started to play the game. After the game was over I started to fill up my hopper and one of the refs noticed that I was not using their paint so he told the other ref who proceeded to inform my friend and I that we could not use paint that was not purchased at the place. So i then starting emptying out all the wrong paint and switching with the proper paint. The ref approached us again with and attitude this time and proceeded to talk down to us and antagonize us about the paint even though we were currently switching out the paint. So my friend and I decided to walk back to the table to make the switch there so that there would be no confusion. As soon as we walked back a guy whos name is (Harris) walked up to my friend aggressively and starting touching his pods on his back and then proceeded to raise his voice at us demanding that we got rid of the paint and telling us that he did not give a "damn" what we did with the paint. We also tried to inform Harris that we did not receive the proper orientation, for it being our first time here and that no one informed us prior to playing that we could not use outside paint but did not seem to care. We then tried to calm Harris down and tell him that he did not have to talk to us in that manner and that he did not have to belittle us , but Harris did not care how he talked to his "Black" paying customers. At this time I no longer felt welcomed or excited to play paintball, I also did not feel safe. I called the front check in to tell them of my experience with Harris and they just proceeded to hang up and put me on hold multiple times. I then talk to and employee t of skirmish who actually listened to me and heard my concern and informed me that Harris already had a few complaints against him and that he was very "hot hotheaded". As soon as o finished my conversation with that employee another man walked up on us just as aggressive at Harris did who claimed to be the owner "Gerry", Gerry started to treat us the same nasty way that Harris did and did not appreciate it. I started to plead with Gerry to hear us out which he eventually did but then another employee started to surround us trying to listen in on the conversation and he also started to talk aggressively to us. I now feared for my safety and proceeded to to leave. Once i got back to the front I asked to speak to "Terry" who was the manager. My friend and I told Terry of our horrible experience and he sympathized with us and told us that he will inform the general manager Karen of how we were treated. This is not how a business should be run and no one should ever have to experience the treatment in which we received. We spent all that money to not even play 2 games. Harris and Gerry need some customer service trainings and should not be around customers with their attitudes!! read more

Had a blast doing playing paintball for the first time with my gf and her parents. Although the other guys we were put in a group with were way better than us (also appears that they've been doing this for years), it was still a very fun time. The referees that was in charge of our group made it enjoyable and fun. It is a rather very tiring activity as you have to lug your gun, ammo, and whatever else is needed from map to map. The maps at this place is awesome. All of them are big and really well thought out. However we ran into a few issues when we were there that wasn't good. First off, there was no one there to chrono the paintball guns so we ended up going against a group of people whose paint balls literally made us bleed. They were also shooting on our heads. The ref wasn't too sympathetic and just made them go chrono their guns while WE had to wait until they finished so we can start another game with them. This is something that they should have kept track of and taken care of without interfering with our game play. When we asked to switch teams. The person at the desk kept warning me not to. He was saying how he understands me but the group is big. I won't have fun..etc..etc..He finally let us switched and we had fun with the new group. read more

I've been paint balling before but this was my first time at Skirmish. Great experience! A lot of friendly people, land, and different "maps". Our referees were Josh and Jakob and they were awesome!!!! Very personable guys that only made the experience better. Jakob was kind enough to take our groups picture afterwards too. Fog in the mask made the game a bit less enjoyable but that'll happen when it's 95 degrees out and rainy... 10/10 would recommend. read more

Came to Skirmish in a large group for a bachelor party. It was my first time playing paintball. Our ref, Anthony, was friendly and helpful. We went to a lot of different maps and had a lot of fun throughout the day. I enjoyed one of their big castles the most. My one complaint is the excessive nickel-and-diming that they'll do with you. Rent coveralls? An ammo pack? Body armor?A better gun? Of course, you don't need a lot of this stuff, but the coveralls you'll definitely want and they "heavily recommend" the ammo packs. Overall, Skirmish is clearly THE place to do paintball, so I do highly recommend it. read more

Visited for the first time with a group this weekend. Our refs were literal children who didn't seem to be calling a lot of things that ruined a lot of our first time experiences with paintball. We were completely mismatched with the team we played, who clearly play pretty seriously. We were continually shot at with our hands up, those of us who had played before were convinced they were using equipment that should not have been allowed as the injuries all 12 of us sustained aren't typical. Multiple of us had broken skin which we were promised doesn't happen normally. I would give Skirmish the benefit of the doubt as it's not their fault these guys were fully savage on an admittedly inexperienced team, but if you see them shooting us after we've surrendered, we would've appreciated the ref children at least helping us out by calling them on it. Unfortunately very few of us enjoyed the pain at that price and those of us who have no other experience to compare to probably will never play again. Staff outside those refs were kind and I'm sure if we ever develop an urge to have our days and bodies ruined by paintball tryhards we might do it here. read more

I don't give out 5's left and right like most people, so I sat here for a minute trying to figure out ways to dock a star...there's no plumbing...but we're in the middle of the woods...so, I dunno if that'd be fair. This was awesome. We got there at around 11 AM and played until 5:30 PM. For $85 we got the right amount of balls and also got overalls, gun, mask, belt pack and unlimited air. This place is massive and the game types were cool. At one point we played 45 vs 45 at this massive castle. In between games we'd take breaks, go to the bathroom, fill up on air and check out their pro shop...which was sick. It made me wish I had gotten into paintballing when I was younger. Don't buy grenades though. read more

I had a great time here. This is my first time playing paintball and it was a wonderful experience. All equipment is provided, with a low fee of course. Nevertheless, you get to enjoy the company of your friends while making new ones in return. We played on four different fields today. We were there for about four hours and used about 600 balls minimum if you were playing for real. The referees were awesome. We had Wyatt and Anthony as our referee's. They did a great job. They were very detailed and fair. The field is open all year round. It gives you a chance to step up your A-game, which is highly recommended and needed to have a great time. My experience in a phrase would be: "Say ouch 4 times fast, but have fun at the same time." :-) read more

Skirmish is awesome. They have an incredible amount of fields and they have days that give you student discounts which was around $15/person for gun rental, mask, and unlimited N2 refills. We went in a large group and bought a lot of paint. Beware that they also charge tax on the paint which is NOT included in the price. The fields were all awesome and although my group of friends had to initially be split up and play against each other (we came in a group of 12) it was still a lot of fun. I thought I saw somewhere on the website that they had free hotdogs for lunch, but they most definitely do not. They do have large lockers to store your own lunch though however, as long as you bring your own lock. Water is scarce around here, or comes at a high price, so bringing a case of water would also be a smart idea. In the end, you end up forming up with a group and traveling around with them, but you could always go back to the free play area if you don't like who you're playing with. The fields vary from cargo boxes, to cities, to a giant castle. At one point, we played a 60 v 60 match, defenders v. attackers of the castle. The judges had some cool games for us to play besides total elimination. We played a game called domination, capture the flags and defend the castle. My only complaint is that the judges do not seem to always be watching the games. The last game we played, the entire other team was still in the game even though my friends and I hit the opposing teams multiple times. They cheated and the judges did not care at all. Overall a great place and would definitely come back again. read more

I went with a group of friends with no reservation but it was an easy and quick process to enter. We were with refs Erick and James and they were such amazing leaders. It was a very fun and competitive experience and I would totally recommend going. I can't wait to go next time and pick Erick and James once again to be our refs. Erick and James made the experience more relaxing as we were first timers to paintball. Not only were they good leaders but also were interactive with us and made the vibes a fun time. They were responsible and did take us to the most exciting courses making sure we all were safe but also having fun. The staff were always there to help and were very welcoming. read more

This place was fantastic. I went here with my brother and his friends for a bachelor party event. It was a foggy day so that was a cool element in addition to the many areas we played on. I got lost in Bobcat but Tippman City was so cool. I guess refs don't like being shot as a ref did yell at me but the guy was just wandering around in the open. I guess I need to get my eyes checked, or maybe the ref should of found a safe place to look at the game. I would recommend this place, especially the ref who referred to himself as "EZ" but not the ref who yelled at me. read more

I took my 15 yr old son and his friends to Skirmish yesterday. We've been here several times. The kids couldn't stop taking about how great their ref , Chris White , was. They asked me to write a review for him. That says a lot about a bunch of teenagers. They said he was fair, chose good teams, applied the tape on their arms well (apparently that was a point of important contention), he also ran the rounds well, and gave good advice. The staff here is great, but I really wish this place had running water, real restroom and mirror. I felt really disgusting and gross - no soap to wash my hands! The other thing I didn't like was the fact my gun keeps getting jammed and I was able to shoot anything but air! Every game - my gun had problems and I feel like they should have given me a new gun, rather than telling me it was fixed. Other than that - good times. read more

This is a really cool place to go paint balling. They have about 30 maps to go to. It is about $80 per person to paintball here using their stuff. It is a great experience to do with family and friends. I really liked that they have their own paintball teams as well. Each level is different, you can be out in the woods, in a little town, a castle area, in shipping containers, etc. It was honestly an awesome experience even though getting shot was SUPER painful for me. I would totally recommend this to all my friends. Only turn off is that if you're a woman and have to use the rest room. It is a hole into hell, totally worth holding it in. Also you have to walk everywhere and that is a pain during the hot weather.. read more

This experience is from the last year. It was winter, and everything was frozen. The fields were frozen too. Can you imagine that the frozen fields? That means you cannot play at all!!! You literally play on ice. We were about 25 people, and we had private fields. Getting suits, buying paint bullets and stuff were very hectic. All the suits were in very bad condition. goggle cleaning spray was basically Windex. This company was selling windex in small bottles for unbelievable price. (so I suggest you to bring your own windex and paper towel. It saves money and play will be more fun!) The employees here didn't do anything to get rid of the ice on the fields at all. Each of us felt down on the ice at least twice. (Once you fall down, you never run on the fields. And you become an easy target. You are out right away!) Guns were in bad condition. My gun got jammed 8 time in a game, and I had to keep going back and forth to the referee. He got rid of jammed paintballs in my gun, but it was very temporary. Jamming happened in every shot. After two games, I complained and got another gun. It still had the same jamming issue, so I gave up playing. It was totally not worth the money I paid for. My friends and I drove that long distance and spent much time driving back and forth, and I didn't even shoot properly for hours. If you still wanna go, please avoid winter! Spring and Fall are the best season to play Paintball game. read more

I hate to do this but in the past year and this place must have gone downhill. Came here today and it was 99.9% rental players with a new crew of inexperienced refs managing them. New refs need better training and supervision. Starting games without making sure everyone has their masks on, no enforcement of rules regarding cheating for both playing on and leaving the start base before the whistle, no reinforcement of good sportsmanship regarding overshooting, not teaching basics like, "oh, hey... it's usually not a good idea to shoot your teammates in the back 500 times." Further, I don't know what is going on, maybe because of all the rain this year but some of the fields are so muddy they should just be taken out of the rotation for a while because you can't even move on them. I've always held this place in high regard but for the price it's not worth it unless they start retraining their newer refs and maybe out more of them on the field. One other point about this place that bugs me is that it doesn't cater to real paintballers that are repeat players; even a membership won't give you a paint discount. read more

Pay the extra $10 and get the fog-free goggles. Basically, it's your helmet to keeps and take home. It also NEVER fogs up. Only down side is your head is left nekked so be sure to pick up a doorag. Kidding. Go with a bandana or wrap your head in a t-shirt. Head shots hurt. A lot. Food is reasonably priced but you get what you want when you come here: massive terrain for sever punishment. Book a private party here and you'll have your own field with judges. If you're into COD, you pee your pants. This is every boy's dream come true. Houses within the village, open area with a "pentagon" and for the finale, the castle. Remember that scene in LOTR where the Urukai attempt to invade Helm's Deep? Well this is exactly that. Load up on smoke grenades and raid the fortress. If you're defending the castle, camp out on the 3rd level of one of the towers. You'll take people out like flies. Your mom would be proud. Oh, and spend the extra $26 and upgrade your gun. It's this lighter green gun that's ridiculously fast with the trigger. Pick up 2000 extra paintballs and go bezerk as you 2-finger that trigger. This place is truly great and super unique. We honestly couldn't have picked a worse day to go but regardless my group seemed to have so much fun. We came as a group of 11 on a snowy/rainy day. The floor was slippery, ice was everywhere, the rain kept us wet and the mixture of our hot breath with the freezing air had our masks constantly fogged. Unfortunately even the special no-fog masks some of our group purchased for $10 still fogged up. We enjoyed the instruction of our refs however I feel like better judgement could've been made as far as teams. Our team (first timers) were going against people who had purchased their own special equipment, guns, outfits, and ear pieces (EAR PIECES!). These people were clearly not beginners and I even sat out one game to warm up my fingers and noticed how skillful and also unfair they were. They would get shot and wouldn't leave and one person even came out and then went right back in. This along with our constant fogging masks made the game less enjoyable. At one point some people took breaks and the refs was about to begin a new game when I had to point out that it would be 6 of us newbies against 15 of the opposite team and how maybe they may want to even it out a bit. Which they then did because I said something. Overall though, the place was professional, the staff was informative, the structures were impressive and even the food truck food was good. Due to the weather being so bad and everything being ice the staff gave each person in my group free return passes which was very generous. We will definitely be returning however this time we will try for a larger group so that we could play a private game and not deal with strangers who are trying too hard against newbies, playing unfairly, and argumentative. read more

"Well, there goes your social life."- Clueless, 1995 As we de-bussed this weekend, and in a stark contrast to my normal outgoing, ballsy self, I found myself more than a little scared of the impending paint pellets flying at my face/body. See, I've never paintballed before and, in a sea of men rocking their own camo and swapping Call of Duty tales, I felt out of place. I'm not a huge fan of the great outdoors, I hate getting hurt, I bruise like a peach, and we were facing the first real cold snap of the fall. The perfect storm of me assuming I'll have a lousy time. I loaded the balls of paint (which are really just cornstarch, mineral oil, and a little food coloring) into my gun, donned my camo overalls, chest protector, and ammo belt ($15 when rented all together), and steeled myself for what was to come. And then it happened. I transformed. Armed and ready, I went from Jumpy Jordan to G.I. Jordan. The fields range from towns to pipes to cargo holds to the bare woods to AN ENORMOUS CASTLE. You might be playing capture the flag, you might being playing total annihilation, domination mode, or storming the castle. But you will have a blast. You will find your inner soldier, and you will think like a warrior, and (inevitably) you will come out with little black and blue marks on your precious flesh. I was there for about 4 hours, and went through approximately 600 paintballs. I sort of wish I'd purchased more, but I couldn't warrant a whole new bag for this one-time occasion. The refs made me feel safe and under control (I think perhaps I imagined a set of vigilante paintballs going Rambo on me. That was not the case). Skirmish keeps things organized, they run a tight ship, and I'd definitely go back again (perhaps on Ladies Day where it's free for women to paintball, you just buy your own paint/gear). And no, that isn't a hickey on my neck, just an indicator that my teammates left my flank un-manned. read more

Great place to go with a large group of friends. Its fun but painful. Bring your own face mask because the one that comes with the package fogs up quick and there's no time out. You will be a blind sitting duck. I would advise you to bring a change of cloth and rent out their protective equipment because those paint balls do leave a mark. P.S.
