We joined the dojo back in 2014, when I signed my children up for classes after visiting on a group trial day. A year later, I started training myself. It remains one of the best decisions I've made for my family so far. The classes are energetic and fun. Anyone at any fitness level can feel comfortable here. I swear the school is made up of the most welcoming, non judgmental people I've ever met. The real strength here is the instructor team. The classes are taught by Sensei Mike and Sensei Chris, and the level of energy and knowledge between them is remarkable. They genuinely care for their students and push them to be their best. My daughter earned a junior black belt, I earned a first degree black belt, and my son is on his way to his junior black belt as well. I can't recommend them highly enough! read more

My son has been enrolled in Sky Centers since he was 3.5 (now 6). As a result, we've had the opportunity to experience 3 of the programs run by Sky Centers -Little Dragons, Little Ninjas, and now Black Belt Club. We have been so pleased with our experience in each program. First and foremost, you won't find better instructors anywhere else. They are wonderful in every way possible, and skilled at working with both kids and adults at all levels of training. I love that they push students to do their best and grow, but they do so in a positive, encouraging manner. The atmosphere of the dojo is incredibly positive and family friendly. We've made some wonderful friends along the way because everyone is so welcoming. Their staff is amazing - everyone is helpful and well organized. In addition to awesome classes, Sky Centers offers tons of awesome events, camps, parent nights out, and workshops. My review is only for a one time class at Sky Centers Martial Arts. I signed up with a group of friends for a one time women's self defense class. The class was $25 for 2 hours which I thought was a great price for all of the knowledge I feel like I gained during the class. We learned many techniques to help defend against an attack, and tips about how to secure our homes. I felt like there were exactly the right number of people in the course that we could take turns and get feedback from the instructor. I thought the instructor and other employees at the center were great, and I hope to take a longer self defense class in the future. read more

Sky Centers has helped teach my kids good values. Sensei Mike and Sensei Chris are great teachers and keep the kids interested and emphasize the importance of being a good person. Small child is an orange belt now. Small child wants to be a ninja. Sky Centers is great. They have a rap: improve yourself, be a good person, do well in school, be active in your community and believe in yourself and always do your best. I buy into the rap, how could you not, what could possibly not be beneficial for your child, or for that matter you, to belong to an organization with these beliefs. My oldest child, who has ADHD among a few other things, has been at Sky Centers for 4 years. He has been on the honor roll each semester since joining! Definitely happy with their focus on school for the kids. Master Sky and all the instructors work with him. He's always smiling when he's there. On a personal note? I attend classes, both "normal" with people and adult classes in the evening. Sky Centers has helped me with a weight loss of over 130lbs this far! And strength/conditioning are amazing to me. I've recommended Sky Centers to a family who had a child with Autism, and they work so well with him, and the parents thank me every time I see them! The instructors are attentive to the children. Adults work at their pace, but if I need some help they are always happy to help. Overall, the positive, family type atmosphere from Sky Centers is great. I've made some great friends there, both younger and older, have never felt embarrassed about myself, and recommend this dojo to anyone. Currently watching my daughter train to earn her black belt. She has been doing classes at Sky Centers for 3.5 years. I love this dojo because the instructors are so passionate about what they do. They love seeing their students succeed and they will put in whatever work necessary to ensure this happens for each and every one of them. Everyone learns in a different way and these teachers are fully capable of adapting to each student to ensure they learn in the best way fit for them as an individually. We tried lessons here for our 8 year old son. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the facility was nice. Unfortunately, the classes were too busy for students to get the individual attention that we desired. I hope they get the balance right because they have a good product. read more

I've been a student for roughly a year and a half now and in comparison to the other dojos I've studied, this is one of the better ones. I would heartily recommend Sky Centers to adults and children alike. Master Sky's passion towards teaching martial arts is incredibly evident, and radiates throughout the staff he employs (none of which are teenagers, I couldn't tell you what the other reviews are saying). That shot of positive energy from the the staff and fellow students is one of the bigger reasons why I keep coming back. It's a very warm, supportive environment where I've never felt embarrassed when I can't keep up with the higher belt levels. Sky Centers is also very active in the community, promoting strong anti-bullying and pro self-esteem values for the kids. Parents are encouraged to stay and help out, and even join in on the classes. Weekend events, pool parties and parades are aplenty. As for the instruction itself, I've been satisfied. The staff do take the effort to get to know you well, both your strengths and weaknesses. Sensei Sky and Ty particularly have a great affinity for teaching in a clear and concise manner (speaking as an educator myself!). If you're not feeling challenged enough, they do offer a variety of other classes to grow your skill level such as Black Belt Club and Masters Club. The staff is always willing to assist on private lessons as well. As with any dojo, you share class time with a variety of other students. I can't speak for the kid's classes (although they do seem have their hands full!), but I've never felt neglected during the adult class. When I'm clearly not understanding a technique, someone works with me until I make progress. When I'm practicing fine on my own, they recommend small adjustments here and there. All staff members are always willing to help out after class, or during open workouts on the weekends. Classes can get a little pricey for adults, but they are very upfront honest and never try and nickel and dime you. They're also very family friendly. I like that, others may want something a little more intense that demands more out of you. You get what you put in, and when you want to push your limits even more they have the resources to help. This place is FANTASTIC! We just had our daughters birthday party here on Saturday- There was 21 kids total-the instructors were so hands on-they were so good with the kids-very patient and made it a ton of fun for them! Thank you all for a wonderful party for our daughter! read more

The entire organization is devoted to the betterment of its students and the cummunity in which it resides. My son has been a part of this team for about 6 months. I have 2 children that attend sky center, 1 that is a black belt and teacher/mentor the other a little dragon. Being both girls, I feel this is even more important for their self esteem and self confidence. Its an atmosphere full of positive energy and instructors that truly care about their students.
