We asked them to turn on the air conditioner and they said no. We were drenched with sweat. I have been going for a few years and never had a problem. so, let me say this salon was clean and the employees made me feel very welcome. The prices are good! I got a regular pedicure,. I soaked for a nice long time, but my pedicure was not good, my foot scrub lasted about 3 minutes, she did not even try to get the dead skin off. The foot massage was also very brief. The polished job was horrible! I think the polish was old... the polish job was all streak, looked like my granddaughter did it!! I called the salon and told them what the problem was and they told me to come in and they would take care of it. I went in, advised them I called and would like my polish redone. They made me feel very uncomfortable, they were all looking at my feet and speaking their language, I felt I did something wrong! I felt that was very rude! They re polished them for me. I went to Sky nails for the very first time on Friday with my friend. A lady asked what did I want. I told her a full set with nude pink color I choose and a shimmer coat on top. I sat down and a different lady sat down. She started doing my nails she had the pink color at the station. My nails are white with glitter and then she charged me $50 and stated she gave me shellac even though I didn't asked for it. That's an additional $20 charge. The co owner just poked out her lip and awww. I will never return there they are thieves. A patron there said oh btw do look at the list of prices you have to ask them. Called the night before to book 4 pedis and one mani. When we arrived they were ready for us...and our last minute changes of 5 pedis and 3 manis. Nails turned out pretty good. They wayyyy overcharged me though. Got French tip acrylics and they charged me $65!! Didn't want to try to argue with them about the price because I didn't have the energy but I definitely won't be coming back here. Their price board said that full acrylics with shellac is $50 so I'm not sure where the extra money came from. She also filed my skin off of my thumb to the point where I was bleeding a little. I went in with my friend and the guy that did her nails admittedly messed them up and still charged her $60. They definitely don't clean their tools either. The tools that my lady had on her desk were still all dusty and used and she used the same ones on me. After she was done with me she put the tools she used back in the same place she got them. This is definitely the kind of nail salon that is just rushing to get you in and out while trying to charge you as much as possible. Nails don't look bad though I guess. read more

It is very understaffed. It takes forever to get in, and forever to get what you want done. They never focus on doing your own nails, and they constantly switch up and leave. It takes so long to get anything done.. the service was awful. The quality was awful. Worst place ever. read more

I went in to get a full set and they did not tell me that taking off my nails would be extra because I did not know that at the time. I came in for a Mani & Pedi. They guy that did them only used plain hot water for both services. Did not put anything in the water. Told him that the bottom of my feet and heals were very rough and pealing. He did very minimal to the bottom of my feet. I had to redo the bottoms when I got home as they were peeling. I told him that I wanted a french manicure on my nails but with purple instead of the white. He told me no that he didn't have time. I told him to just shape my nails and that I was done. The hunt for a good nail place has also proven very difficult. Let me tell you, it's hard to come from California and expect the same caliber of treatment when it comes to nails. I always get Gel nails, and they did a horrible job. I showed the guy who did my nails a picture of what I wanted, which was an easy ombre nail with glitter, and he said okay. First nail looked horrible, so he re-did it. It looked a little better, but as he did the whole hand, it just was getting worse and worse, not better. I figured out he had no clue how to do an ombre and decided to not waste any more time having him re-do it. I paid $45 for the gel fill...way too much first of all. I pay $50 in California and that's with Swarovski crystals on two fingers!! I did my nails for a wedding I had to go the next day. three days after the wedding, two of my nails chipped from the edge. Gel nails always last me at least one month even with cooking and cleaning. I'm not even going to talk about the pedicure, it just isn't worth talking about. Bad gel nails, bad pedicure, and too expensive. No thank you. Never went back. Now I go to VN Nails inside the westwood mall, and Tia is very good at gel. She is the only one that is good at gel though. and only $35 for gel fill. Still looking for a nail salon that does real Swarovski crystals near Jackson. Please message me if anyone finds a place! I used to love this place and recommend it to my friends, but not any more. For the last three times I made appointments, I waited a very long time. The last time a I was told that appointments don't matter. They take walk ins in front of appointments. I Showed up on time and the nail tech that I had been seeing exclusively, took a full set of acrylic nails right before I got there. I waited 45 minutes to get started and then felt rushed and was cut twice with the electric tool they use to remove the dip nail product. I have always tipped well and been a positive customer, so I felt very unappreciated. They seem to be busy enough now that they don't have to worry about providing positive customer service experience anymore. I have not been back and don't plan to spend my money there ever again. I wish that they would add up the money that they are losing, but I doubt that ten years of customer loyalty means anything to them. They have new people to serve over established customers who make appointments and support the business. read more

I've been coming here for over a year, every two weeks and every experience has been good however, I came with my daughter and we decided to get our nails done with regular polish we brought in that my daughter got me for Mother's Day and once they realized we weren't getting shellac, one guy said they don't make appointments for just regular polish since we made an appointment earlier. He was extremely rude the whole time with us and I asked if I could have some oil for my cuticles and he told me no I needed to just use the lotion. We still ended up spending $45 there but since it wasn't $80 they didn't want to treat us nicely. I used to go to Sky Nails all the time, thought they were really good. Not anymore. The pedicures are good, and last long. The gel/shellac manicures usually last me at least 2 weeks. Last time I had one done, within 2 days, 3 of the nails had the polish pop off!! I called them, and they told me to come in when I could. By day 5 after the manicure, ALL the nails were sans polish, the polish popped off all my nails...not chipped, but popped off!! When I went in to have my nails redone, they told me they had to charge me half price!!! WHAT???? I have to pay again, for a job that should have lasted me at least 14 days, not the 5 days they did???? I gave them the polish from my nails, and walked out. I will NOT return. read more

Great place! Everytime I've visited the staff have been accommodating and friendly. I have gotten shellac,gel and full sets along with pedicures at Sky. They have true nail artists working who, from my experience, can do just about any custom design or theme. SANDY, is very talented and extremely easy to to chat with. I also would like to add that I was asked if I wanted acrylic or gel, I asked the difference as I am a nail newbie, and was told gel is stronger and more natural looking and of course more expensive, $10 more.
