The only thing I liked was how they did both the manicure and the pedicure at the same time. The staff was nice, but SO overpriced. $110 for a GOOD job. This was not worth it. To make matters worse, one of the acrylics broke off 3 days after they got done. In their defense, I picked this place because I was in a time crunch. My friend and I both got acrylics with gel.my friends was OKAY she got French and you could see tonnnnsss of bubbles. Mine were terrible!!! were not straight at all, gel polish was lumpy... it was so bad. Save yourselves. they were SO thick on the the ends. polish all over my cuticles, yet the edges of my nails sometimes didn't have paint. I have nevet left a review before, but this was by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Getting your nails done is supposed to be an extra, something to make you feel good about yourself. But absolutely nothing went right in this visit. I wanted chrome. Wound up with cat eye on most of my nails. Didnt work on one of my thumbs at all. They were supposed to be the same shape as the last time. They are not. Each of them are different lengths. They dont look cohesive together. The files lines are crooked and jagged. The polish I chose and what color my nails are, are worlds apart. How a deep maroon turns out to be brown w some red tones. I hate brown with a passion. When I pay that much to have something special done and to have everything be wrong just blows my mind. When I said the color was wrong she told me it was because it was painted on a fake nail and the color doesnt show up the same. I believe i have fake nails, so even that logic which we all know is wrong, failed. And all she kept saying is its so pretty. But to me, the person wearing this for the next 3 weeks, i do not share her opinion. And when someone tells you its wrong. The right thing to say is not. Well i like them. To be fair she did offer to put another 3 coats of paint on to try to fix it. And since i can see through what was not supposed to be a see through polish , i did decline. She already ignored and dismissed everything i said for an hr and a half. I did decline. I am not a complainer. Ever. But this experience has so affected me i had to share. read more

Love this place. I've been 3x for shellac pedis and both shellac and dip manis. Henry has done my nails two out of three visits. My nails always look great and have lasted a long time. The salon is clean and quiet and everyone is very friendly. Prices are standard for Springfield. 3 minutes ago-Edit I GOT AN INFECTION FROM THIS PLACE. If I could give 0 stars I would. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else. I went in for a pedicure on Christmas eve. I choose a mauve color (my fav) and Susan, who was doing my toes told me it was "old lady-ish" after she painted them. She removed the color and painted my toes a brown color. I told her I didn't like the color so she removed it again and painted them white. We waited 20 minutes only for her to realize she painted them with gel polish. So she removed the color AGAIN and painted them with regular white. While I was getting the cuticles cut she dug really deep into my right toe and it hurt alot. After I left I had a dull pain in the toe. The next day (Christmas Day) it was swollen and red so I cleaned it. The following day we left early in the morning (6 am) to drive (9 hours) home to Texas. When I got home I took off my shoe and my toe was even more swollen, red and now oozing pus. I called Sky Nails and spoke to Susan and she basically told me I was SOL. She refused a refund and said I had to go to the salon. I explained I was 9 hours away in Texas. I told her I could take a picture and send it to her and she said "Well how do I know you didn't get it off of Google". I am appalled at her lack of customer service. I work in customer service and I know how people can get but she was unemphatic to my situation and beyond rude. I am standing in a wedding this weekend and have to wear heels. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else! read more

I came in here with my girlfriend her favorite n place went out of business so we thought we'd try this place. We didn't look at the reviews before buying and entering(we should have). The process of choosing the nail color for acrylics was hard but eventually she found something close to what she originally wanted. When it came time to choosing how long we wanted her nails to be they cut them insanely shorter than expected, as he began to file down the nails he left plenty of edges jagged and not even filed at all they all seemed more occupied with soemthing his coworker said rather than the satisfaction of the customer. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone getting acrylic nails, maybe there other services are decent but their acrylic nails are not sufficient at all for $45. read more

Every time I go into sky, the nails ended up coming out uneven and really awkward. I've gone there 3x and 2 times were the same, uneven and really awkward. I would say that I've gotten in faster without an appointment than with an appointment, which shouldn't be. Eric did my nails once and he did a good job they were more even than when someone else had done them and he got them done pretty fast. While I'm getting my nails done they almost never talk to the customer except for like 2 min out of like 30 min- 1hr and are always talking to someone else or on the phone. The prices would be good, if they did a better job. I think they are a little over priced on the quality for them. Such a waste of money. read more

I tried this place 2x and each time came away with bubbly nails. The tips were super thin and started chipping off after a few days. I have to say though, it is a nice bright place, efficient and not overly smelly with chemicals. So sad it didnt work out. read more

Don't get me wrong, for basic nail needs this place is fine. It's a clean quiet place, and the people are polite. But that's where the stars end. I've been here a couple times now and booked 24hrs in advance both times so that I could plan my day. The first time I waited half hour into my appointment cuz they hadn't reserved anyone to handle my appointment. And the nail job was rough and mediocre. Left with so many mistakes but with no time to fix any of them. But I always give a place a second chance. So I tried again! Booked 24hr in advance and once again no one was free at that time. So they rushed me when they had a free hand and the poor old woman was so shaky and weak that she couldn't handle the pedicure or the 5min foot massage. The polish was all over my toes and uneven on the nails! I kept trying to point out each spot to help her fix it but even when she tried she just made it worse! Went in to get a new set of white tips. I could tell by the conversations they were having with each other that no one wanted to do it. Sat down with a gentleman and he took off my old nails and started gluing on the new white tips. He got about three on and I told him they were not the way I like them. He made a smart remark to me about how I should've told him how to do it. I told him he did not ask me. He argued with me about it so I asked to see the manager. He said the manager wasn't there. This salon is clean and very little time but your experience depends on who you have do your nails and pedicure. Most of the women do a very good pedicure but some of the men rush through it and they are not cheap on gel pedicures! Tiffany is very good with dip nails and so are few other males. I went last night and had Jason. I should have known when I was choosing my powder color to ask for someone else. He was horrible and so rude! I will out if he is the only one available!! He asked me to relax my fingers and I tried butwhen you pushing and yanking them, it is a little difficult. He than preceded to say, you are making this to where I can't do anything and would sigh constantly. Than he pulled so hard on m left thumb, I yelped "ouch" and got are you ok. He is the only person in service I have NEVER tipped. I always leave at least 15% even when Ihave bad service and usually I leave 18-22%. His look was upset when I marked a line through tip and I told him he was an ASSHOLE and left. I will use them again just never him as their dips nails usually last over 3 weeks.
